EVE-Pirate community services!

We've resumed our community services!
Yes that's right, EVE-Pirate activity is picking up and my will to play eve has returned :-)

We'll start out by offering teamspeak services .
ISK proceedings will be used for competitions and to award active authors.

Currently we host Teamspeak servers at 10Mill ISK per slot.

It's time for an infusion of new blood into our corporation. We have had some of our players move on to new adventures in Eve and since many of our players are in the military, several of them are out on deployment or in boot camp, so we have some extra room in our little world for the right people.

First off, I will fill you in about our corp. We are primarily an Empire war corporation. We dec all sorts of corps and alliances, sometimes for fun, sometimes to harass and sometimes it's just a completely random choice.

We are a small corp with maybe 10 active members, spread out across all over the world. We just your average bunch of fairly casual players who like to have a good time in everything we do.

I highly recommend reading some of my stories here.

We are somewhat well known for what we do. Some call it harassment, some call it lame, some call it griefing, but we call it fun. Have you ever seen someone smack talking in local and wanted to pop them? Ever see a miner with a full can of ore and were dying to steal it? Ever see someone flying a ship that you thought would look really cool all blown up? Well this might be the corp for you.

We have very few rules.

1. No smack talk
2. No lying, cheating, or scamming
3. Honor (y)our word
4. See rule #1

Participation in gangs is not mandatory, we're quite casual actually. Of course occasional participation is required, I mean, otherwise, why join if you're not going to hang with your corp, right?

We base out of the Tash/Amarr region but follow our war targets near and far to wherever they try and hide.

We have only a few requirements applicants need to meet before consideration for membership.

1. Characters must be 1 year old. Exceptions can be made, though rarely
2. Must be able to fly battleships
3. Must be self sufficient
4. Must be able to follow simple directions in game
5. Don't be an asshat

We keep things pretty simple. Before you can apply you would need to email or convo with me first, then I will send you a simple 4 question application with 1 additional task to complete. Alts are welcome too. Again, we are fairly causal and value quality over quantity.

We do low sec and 0.0 as well, but we're predominantly in Empire and we generally have 3 wars active at all times. When you're not hunting war targets you're free to mission or whatever else you like. Some folks mission, some work the market, some harass miners via can flipping or probe out mission runners or just sit in corp and chat it up.

If you're tired of the same old thing, give us a try. It's not for everyone, but a lot of people have given us a try and most remain good friends even to this day. Some people return over and over or put in alts to take their place just so they can enjoy the fun we have.

Keep in mind, we don't win every fight, we are usually outnumbered, we work for every kill. We get camped and die like anyone else. We don't profess to be the best at what we do, but we do claim to have the best time doing it.

We don't offer labs, ISK, free ships or mods, insurance, or any real benefits in that sense. I don't even think we have a corp hangar to be honest. All loots are distrubuted amongst op attendees, and is given out according to need before greed. Any uneeded loot is sold and split among op atendees. If you score loot on your own, it's all yours to do with what you like.

What we do offer is a constant supply of wars along with being a part of a corp that has a great group of people who are friendly, helpful and always willing to have some fun. There are no cliques, there are no non-existant CEO issues, and there are no real politics to deal with. It's really simple and simply really fun.

If you think you'd like to give us a try, be sure to re-read the requirements. Be sure you can handle very basic instructions. Drop me a line in game and we will get the ball rolling.

Into the breach, once more!

War targets were all docked up, logged off and we were secure in the fact that they were spending their $15/mo to spin ships. Now what to do. There was nothing to shoot and my crew had already begun shooting each other out of boredom. We were flying with TRAPS in this war. I don't remember if it was to help 'em out or leech off of their popularity or both, I didn't set up the deal, I'm just the point-and-shoot guy in this scenario. Regardless of the scenario, I love flying with TRAPS. Fantastic pilots. A couple of them were in our gang for the moment.

What does one do when one has nothing to shoot? Grab some expendable ships and start heading towards CVA space, of course! With a rifter, arazu, thorax, huginn, sacrilege, caracal and a last-minute ares, we began our trek into lowsec.

Wohoo on my way to Iceland!

Okay, Im getting ready to get to the airport now. Hopefully I'll survive the flight but more important. Hopefully Icelandair doesnt file for bankruptcy before I arrive on Iceland!
More updates to come!

Fanfest, here I come :-)

Ander going to fanfest

Yes that's right. I'm going to fanfest!
I'll be leaving on monday and staying on Iceland for a week. Hanging out with brosefs and blogging from the fanfests :-) Look out for blogs and vlogs (video logs) updates!

To intel or not to intel...

I'm a first time writer here on eve-pirate, and while I don't fancy myself a pirate, the rest of EVE probably would. I run a small band of PvPers that isn't really interested in the pirate/anti-pirate politics - instead, we're all just a pack of ADD kids that like to see pretty explosions, indiscriminate of who they belong to. We take a lot of our inspiration from TRAPS and REPO.

This story has a little background to it, so if you don't care and want to skip down a bit, it's marked.

News from CCP: Changes coming for ETC's and Game Time Cards

"To simplify the ETC reseller program and attune our product offerings with industry standards, CCP will introduce new 60-day EVE Time Codes (ETC) and Game Time Cards (GTC) for $34.99 USD. These will replace the 30- and 90-day cards that were previously available through authorized resellers and the 50- and 100-day cards sold in the EVE Store."

Why would CCP decide to increase prices?
Probably due to the low dollar.

ISK seller ads - to be blocked!

Alright . I had to clear my isk-seller adblock list since it was simply full. There is no way to check which links are still active programs so I've simply reset it.
This means I now need everyones help to report iskseller website addresses which are active.

They will be blocked promptly when I get an email with the address to

Until then I apologize for the inconvenience!

That time of month - Call out for donations & blocking of isksellers

Ok. I've been lazy for a while but now these isk sellers are getting actively blocked again.

Remember, report all iskselling google adsense ads to !

Secondly, we're going to upgrade our servers.
Almost 1.5 year ago since we did so last time.

We're in dire need of donations to support hardware upgrade. So a few dollars from a our readers can go a long way - another way to help out is by signing up to EVE Online through our EVE trial ad.

Yours truly

Nexa Gets Grilled, Part Two

Ok we got the interview over with and I have it hosted for your listening pleasure.

It's in two parts.

Part One

Part Two

If you want more, maybe we can do another interview answering audience submitted questions. I got a few emails already with people asking things they were curious about that wasn't touched on in the interview.

Thanks for stopping by and listening.

Nexa Gets Grilled

Hey everyone, I just wanted to take a second and do a bit of cross-promotion here. I was recently approached by Eve Radio and asked if I would like to be interviewed. Apparently one of their DJ's stumbled on to Ander's site here and really enjoyed the stories I post about our corp and our antics.

So I agreed to the interview and it will air this Thursday January 31th at 5pm through 8pm Pacific Standard time. That's 01:00 through 04:00 Eve time.

I wanted to thank DJ Lilin for the opportunity to be interviewed, and also thank Ander for providing a forum for all of us here.

Also, DJ Lilin runs a contest during every show, where you have to track him down and kill him and you will get the bounty on his head. Generally he does it somewhere out in Metropolis. He usually flies a Rifter, and the only real rule to the contest is, don't pod him please. He said the bounty he pays out runs anywhere from 50mil to 200mil and sometimes more than that even. Not bad considering the hardest part would be tracking him down.

If you miss the interview, I will be getting a copy of it from him and I will link it up so you can hear it.

I am also going to be working on a new story in the coming week or so. It won't be a major saga like the Crimson affair was, this one will be a bunch of small instances, some of which are quite amusing as usual. I will also touch on the love we get when we dec a CVA friendly corp and how these corps leave CVA just to dec us and how they promise to shut us down, but then hire mercs to help kill us. Huh? Gotta love those anti-pirates, right?

So just hang in there and pop this game into your Atari system and have fun!

T.R.A.P.'s is recruiting

T.R.A.P.'s --- The Really Awesome Players corporation is currently recruiting. We've had some players move on to new pastures after a long stint in our corp and we are ready for some new blood.

We are mainly based in Empire space, specifically in the Tash Murkon area, but we do venture all about.

We are mainly an Empire war dec corp. We dec for fun first, profit second. Occasionally we take a merc contract now and then as well.

We are spread out all over the world. We have players in the USA, UK, Australia, and other parts of the world. All nationalities are welcome.

We don't mine though some of us occasionally run missions between war targets, we also engage in all sorts of piracy.

We don't have many rules in our corp. Basically have fun, do what you want, participate when you can and enjoy Eve. The only real rule is no cheating, lying, scamming or smack talking.

We value fun and friendship above all else. We don't have cliques in this corp. Everyone is treated as an equal and you will get out of it what you put into it, just like everything else in this game.

I am not going to bullshit ya with a bunch of phony promises like some of those corps you see out there recruiting willy nilly, using you to further their corp wallets via corp taxes.

Here's what we look for in a pilot.

The ability to fly BC or better.

The ability to be self-sufficient.

The ability to work alone or in a group.

The ability to read/understand corp chat and emails.

Prior PvP experience is always a plus, but if you're lacking and can follow the previous requirement, you shouldn't have a problem.

Here is what we are not looking for.

Co-dependant people who can't function without a group or without some serious hand-holding.

People who whine about being outnumbered or losing ships or being camped.

People who don't fly their ships because they're afraid to lose it and can't afford a new one.

People who constantly brag or act like retards over simple things.

People who grub ISK, mods, ships, or assistance from others.

We don't offer a lot in the way of ships, mods, insurance or any discounts on items. We don't have corp hangars. We don't have a POS. We don't have guaranteed low sec or 0.0 access.

What we do have is a friendly bunch of people who enjoy playing Eve. We offer constant war targets, of course we can't guarantee they will undock or log in, and we can't guarantee a victory in every encounter. We offer a casual PvP, pirate and griefing environment. Of course you can be as hardcore as you want though. Most of us are pretty laid back.

You will likely not get rich quick in our corp. A lot of people read my stories on Eve and think we are just killing and looting to no end. That can happen now and then but a lot of it is cat and mouse so for some people, it's a bit more fun, and for others, they might find it dreadfully boring. It's not for everyone.

I highly suggest you read a few of my stories on Eve Click my author name at the beginning of the story to see all of them.

Alts are welcome, your main's privacy is assured of course. So if you're looking to try something new or different, give us a whirl. We might be your cup of tea.

If you have any questions, please convo me or email me in game or out of game at

Do not just apply without talking to me first. Any unsolicited apps are rejected and I don't even look at them. Anyone who want's to join a corp without bothering to ask any questions or have questions asked of them isn't likely to be a good corpmate. That's just my opinion. Of course you could just apply randomly with some large allianced corp and get in a lot easier. Of course, we might be war dec'ing them shortly so you may have a chance to fly against us. :-)

Also we posted this on the main Eve-O forums. If you like my stories, please hop over to our
post and give us a lil bumpage and say hello!

EVE CCG to Offer $25,000 at Gen Con

Ok. Some official media news from CCP. Although not EVE-Pirate related Im posting it anyhow:

Atlanta, GA - June 20, 2007 – EVE: The Second Genesis, CCP | White Wolf’s collectable card game that debuted at Gen Con 2006, will be returning this year with a new expansion set and a $25,000 Championship Tournament.

Taking place at the largest hobby show in North America, Gen Con Indianapolis, this year’s competition will offer more than double the prize pool of last year’s, making it one of the largest CCG payouts at the convention. With the release of The Exiled, players will now be able to build even larger, more fearsome fleets of ships, with less fear of an early-round loss. And with the addition of characters and racial affinities, decks are easier to customize and focus than ever before. The streamlined rules of The Exiled will bring a whole new atmosphere of play to this year’s Championship.

“This year’s Championship is just the tip of the iceberg for Second Genesis,” said Zack Walters, Organized Play Coordinator for the game. “The fans have been really anticipating The Exiled, and I think the events and league structure we have planned for the future will maintain the level of excitement.”

Even once the champion is crowned at Gen Con, the action for The Exiled continues. During the weekend after Gen Con, CCP | White Wolf will be sponsoring tournaments at hobby stores across the globe, where players can compete to earn cash prizes and respect. All events with at least twelve players will receive a prize pool of $100, in addition to the unique prize cards offered at every store.
