The True Cost of Ore Part II

freaky·
Now I will move on to the Article 14 Section 31 people. My guys stole a little ore from them and one of their members Worbird proceeded to have a meltdown in local and decided to talk about how he banged my guys sister and all sorts of idiotic stuff like that. Naturally a war dec followed. These guys decided to follow the Carebear Playbook as well. I love how these corps never live up to their advertised corp bios..... It says they don't tolerate jackasses but they sure recruit them. It makes no sense, but it makes for a really funny story. Keep reading to see what happens with this one. I also got another corp that is absolutely crazy. Super smackers and complete whackjobs. Keep reading!
So Worbird decides to smack it up in local one night after we took some ore off his hands.... worbird > alll of you are just losers worbird > looks like all talk All talk, huh? Of course this earns them a splendiferous war dec almost immediately. The war goes out and they keep docked up 24/7. The only one who really goes out and about is Worbird. Of course he thinks missioning is completely safe if he doesn't have to leave the system to get there. He is wrong. Dead wrong. It was a pretty shit fit too. He explained he was running level 2 missions because level 3's were too hard with his Armageddon! Craziness! So a few days goes by and I catch him in a Drake this time. What's up with these young characters cross-training way too early? Luck was on his side this time he managed to get out because he used ECM drones on me and warped out with 10% structure. I tried for the bump but was too close because I was keeping him in optimal of my Phobos' blasters. I love the temper on these players too. If you don't do what they want, when they want or do what they ask immediately, they get all pissy. I was AFK one day and Worbird convoed me and get's pissed, not even thinking once that I might be AFK. worbird > ty for the chance to talk to you worbird > my corp doesnt know i ma talking to you worbird > i didnt know i was the cause of this war deck worbird > and if my menory is true i did say that i was man enughf to account for my bad actions and i appologise toyou worbird > i lost my best ship last night worbird > you going to say anything? worbird > ok i tryed to appologise worbird > you want to keep playing this game worbird > can i ask why worbird > you poped my ship and my pod worbird > wasted time talking to you One day they actually decide to fight back. I mean it was only 5vs1 in their favor. I was all alone in their home system in my Phobos. Worbird undocks in his Drake and proceed to pound the shit out of him. As I am doing so a Crusader and Republic Fleet Firetail undock and shoot at me too. The Firetail sits 1k from me and I swap targets and instapop him then continue back working on the Drake's shitty tank. As he gets low into armor, I see his armor shoot up. Overview neglects to show the remote assistance from a neutral in system. At this point I am up against a Drake, Hurricane, Crusader, and the remote repping Exequror. I try to pop the Exequror but he redocks and I start deagressing because I know it's futile at this point. The nice thing at least was the Firetail was faction fit so that was a decent loss there. I like that the remote rep pilot immediately tries to offset any possible hostile actions against his alliance. I told him I would dec them. I haven't yet. Alt's are in place and intel has been gathered though so all in due time. Nexa Necis > nice try Zer'Adul > Same to you. Nexa Necis > gives us a new war dec to do at least Nexa Necis > oh alliance even better Zer'Adul > My aliiance has nothing to do with my actions. These are friends from before this. Once again, one man's actions has nothing to do with his alliance or corp affiliation. I mean they didn't need his help, they had 5vs1 and him tossing in remote rep support was a slap in the face. Of course he jumps to a new alliance after a bit. He will get his eventually, right when he least expects it. That will make the kill all that much sweeter! At this point they go back to sitting docked 24/7 hoping we will let the dec drop due to boredom. They don't understand we had 2 other wars active so we would toss a jump clone near there and put alts in system to watch them. Any time they went active, we would show up to illustrate why it's just easier to pay the 100 million ISK we asked for a surrender fee. Undocking in a Hulk isn't exactly smart during a war. They don't seem to mind the risk. Hell, how about we go AFK with a hauler full of ships and goodies? Fuck yeah! Why not!? I laughed when I looked at his bio.... Fun stuff! A while passes and they stay docked up again. Then, out of the blue, they decide to mount a full frontal assault. Of course, TRAPS corp channel is near empty and they have their whole corp online and ready. That's really no matter to me or our corp. We will take a chance. We will engage on our terms, not theirs. Just because we started the war doesn't mean we will engage when they want us to, we will bob and weave, stick and move, pick and choose when we strike. So they have a Raven, Rokh, Drake, and a god damned Falcon. The bane of the PvP's existence for some, the savior for others. My corpie has his Sleipnir and I had my full arsenal available to me. I decide to chose a gank fit Vexor. I also have lots of friends in Amarr and they are about to learn this the hard way. Word comes in the Falcon is off the station, about 50km from his pals. I align and warp in.... It crumpled under the poundage of my drones and blasters. He had no choice but to die really. That loss seemed to dishearten them. They tried once to engage but quickly redocked once I swapped to my Dominix and evened out the teams. So they rage quit and log out for the night. I noticed that our old friend Worbird is sitting outside the station right next to the Article 14 guys. So I scan him. I send him a warning to move and of course he refuses. I was bummed to see he was in an alliance, but I was happy to notice their corp is out of the alliance now. Payback is imminent! The next day we log in and I see that CpHarding, the Falcon pilot from the day before is out roaming alone in Tash area. I crack up laughing when I see he is in a Scorpion! I am in the Dominix and my corpie is in a Drake. We manage to catch him at a gate after 45 minutes of chasing him around. Unfortunately he only got 1 jam on me and seemed to permajam the Drake. A double whammy for him was that the Drake pilot just finished training FoF missiles and they came in handy for us. He didn't have much of a tank so he died super quick. He seems to be a good sport though. I convo him and let him know that we're open to negotiation if they so desire. Once again their CEO refuses any diplomacy and instead lets the corp die for well over a month. They go right back to sitting docked 24/7, occasionally their CEO would undock his alt and load up POS fuel for their large deathstar POS in Uchomida. Then we noticed them moving from the Black Rise region out to Dodixie. I thought that was odd because none of them had agent standing out there. Then a few days later the answer became clear. They aligned with some anti-pirate corp who offers protection and who seems to really, really hate us. One thing they left out in their corp bio was Smack Talk training. They spew it out non-stop. Oh, they also lie to get you to engage so they can gank you. I am always glad I screenshot all the time because it always catches them in the act. The A14 guys still stay permadocked unless the Civis crew is available to babysit them. The Civis guys have a decent presence and put up solid numbers. Naturally TRAPS is way small and since we're dealing with 4 wars at once we need to exercise caution. One day they have me "camped' in Hatakani. They had 2 Ravens initially. One of them went 1 system over and logged out. The last Raven refused to engage my Domi, supposedly because my corpmate was in system with his Rapier. Lord knows, a Rapier spews out so much DPS it will unbalance the odds in BS fight. So I wait a while, grind some ISK on the alts. I come back, I am all alone at this point and one of them tells me he would like to 1vs1 me. So I run a locate on his friend in a Raven, Humble Epidemic. He's in Kassigainen on the gate, as the locate shows active. My alt was in Sivala and I see their camp on the gate. It's hard to tell but if you look at the time in the lower left corners, you can see it's 21:30 or so. So I go AFK awhile and I am camped by them again. This time their chief smack talker, Prefer is there with me. pRefer > I was reading on Eve-pirate how noone ever 1 on 1's anymore Nexa Necis > nice of you to help these guys pRefer > Really we were going to thank you Nexa Necis > for giving you a job? :) pRefer > nah providing something to shoot at Nexa Necis > same difference :) pRefer > how long you think 6 jumps takes He is a noob because he doesn't seem to understand that the Eve address book as been broken since its inception. It constantly shows people as online who have logged out hours ago. The only "fixes" for this require you to log off and then log back in again, or add and remove each person showing online from your address book. Both of those options are fairly inconvenient, especially the latter option. So he thinks one of our pilots is online, when it's really only me who is online. pRefer > thats a hell of a long 6 jumps pRefer > did he get lost you think Nexa Necis > not sure who you're refering to tbh pRefer > so is it just going to be you this evening or is Frosty Toad Going to be able to join us Nexa Necis > no im the only one online Nexa Necis > log out and clear your address book pRefer > little disappointed he left pRefer > was hopiong for a nice login trap or something pRefer > your corp is very boring Nexa Necis > we dont do those, sorry to disappoint Nexa Necis > well were small pRefer > thats what I heard So TRAPS is boring and we do login traps. Heard that before haven't we? I love the stuff these guys point out to me. He tries to allude that TRAPS lost members because of poor leadership. It can't be anything else other than that to be sure. pRefer > getting smaller daily whats up with that Nexa Necis > people leaving to try FW pRefer > is it bad leadership or just people not living the hiding in station thing pRefer > ahh Nexa Necis > geez insults already? pRefer > not an insult a question Nexa Necis > hehe like a backhanded compliment pRefer > wasnt a compliment either Nexa Necis > exactly So TRAPS is falling apart? Let's see, I should probably take a look at his corp to see if anyone is leaving, right? Three people in the span of a few days. Hmm, could it be due to poor leadership? Could it be that they're tired of camping us or being camped? Who knows, but very few corps are immune to turnover, but these guys are content to spew out negative speculative smack. I kept undocking to fuck with Prefer. I refit to counter his damage and it ended up costing me a Domi a little later. He keeps smacking though... pRefer > let me put it this way you aint gonna get no medals pinned to your chest docked in station pRefer > but wont be emvbarrased by being added to my killboards either Nexa Necis > insults and bragging? must be an antipirate pRefer > lol pRefer > no such thing as a priate pRefer > pirate* pRefer > thats a word miners use to cry ab out lost cans kinda sad to see a pvper use the word pRefer > you are a pvper arent you Nexa Necis > i dabble in it occasionally pRefer > I hear that pRefer > do you need money to insure you ship is that what we are waiting for Nexa Necis > well the gangs all here now Nexa Necis > or at least on the gates Nexa Necis > funny, i didnt see your guy undocking when it was 2vs1 Nexa Necis > i mean that one was at least close to fair pRefer > I am only member logged in More bullshit. He's stalling and they're all amassing and enroute. I've got 6 accounts. I can easily rotate alts to cover all systems. I am sitting watching them. He acts the fool pretending that they aren't in cahoots with the A14 guys. Yet the A14 guys are sitting with his guys on the Sivala gate. pRefer > The only wartargets you should be worrying about are the ones with a civis banner in thier name Nexa Necis > well unfortunately thats now how it always goes for us :) pRefer > give it a few days I assure you that is how it goes for you pRefer > my guy is in algogile pRefer > want me to have him come in or leave Nexa Necis > bring em all Nexa Necis > theres more of our wt on the way too pRefer > awesome pRefer > you know you should really man up and stop hiding behind your wartargets Nexa Necis > ok Nexa Necis > thanks DarkSoulDan > 0/ nexa pRefer > see there is a friend pRefer > maybe he has a rep ship Funny he should say that. I'll show you why in a bit. So a while passes by and I see one of the A14 guys has left Amarr from when we popped the Falcon that night. I use a bit of misdirection and proceed to try and meet this guys Raven halfway. I figure I could probably pop it and at least warp out or deagress and get out. If not, I will at least take down a Raven, right? Wrong! I forgot to revert back to my omni-tank and I run into the Raven. It's piloted by a 3 month old character and I end up DYING! It just goes to show, skillpoints don't mean everything. All it takes is 1 foolish mistake and you're going to die regardless. I could have warped out but the fight was close, we both went into structure and he made it out just barely. I was going to warp out but his shields dropped quicker than I though, but not quick enough. I still offer a GF though.... Nexa Necis > gf Nexa Necis > i messed up dang it pRefer > you have no idea Nexa Necis > oh please All of his corpies who weren't logged in somehow managed to all show up at the same time in the system. Funny how that works. I decide to scan them and see they're all setup for station bait ships. One night I log in and hear that we have a small gang going out to try and engage the Civis guys. My guy fails to read the intel given and I jump in and end up dying! That causes them to go into a smack frenzy. I was only slightly annoyed because I died mainly due to a screwup on our side. It was a fair fight though and it's all good. I even engaged an Abaddon at a gate with several other targets in system and floating around, but they caught me off guard with a Apoc who was remote repping the Abaddon. They sit and cry for 1vs1 and when they get it, they lose and they have neutrals rep them. So naturally, I died again! Sorta sad I would say with all their bravado and smack talk about us not engaging and us sucking, they're the ones lying, using neutral friends to rep and that sort of thing. So we go back to basics. Engaging on our terms. This is what we do best after all. Unlike the Civis people, I actually solo hunt without neutral support. I go out to Dodixie and see if I can find trouble. It doesn't take long for me to find it either. T1 fit CNR anyone? Yowza! More ISK than brains as usual. I had to ask an obvious question and his answer elated me. Nexa Necis > why would you fly a CNR with no rigs and t1 gear to do level 4s when a regular Raven is just fine? that doesnt make sense, especially for a 6 month old player? Humble Epidemic > i just bought it today mister! Now I know why he was warping from station to station for so long, he must have been getting it all fitted up. He was not happy to say the least. Then a while later he shows up in Amarr with the whole Civis and A14 crew. Of course Prefer immediately starts smacking.... [ 2008.09.14 20:22:17 ] pRefer > nexa got another one of those domi's for my killboard by chance [ 2008.09.14 20:24:19 ] Warocia > gf [ 2008.09.14 20:28:00 ] Nexa Necis > sure if you guys got another cnr i can put on mine [ 2008.09.14 20:28:16 ] pRefer > no problem let me get one out this way [ 2008.09.14 20:28:20 ] Nexa Necis > rgr [ 2008.09.14 20:28:23 ] pRefer > jsut a cnr [ 2008.09.14 20:28:30 ] pRefer > anything else too [ 2008.09.14 20:29:09 ] pRefer > can arrange for a nightmare [ 2008.09.14 20:29:39 ] pRefer > or a navy apoc but thats a coupel of jumps out Humble wants to avenge his CNR loss and challenges me to a 1vs1. The only reason I accepted was because REPO was in Amarr with a logistics crew to assist me if they pulled any shit. Humble Epidemic > hey nexa.. just you and me. prefer is gunna leave Humble Epidemic > lol then ill die Nexa Necis > oh please, you got all those guys in ashab on the gate Nexa Necis > you guys lied last time about 1vs1 and you had a chance earlier and you got nuetrals to remote rep Nexa Necis > so no thanks pRefer > Figured it was a no Humble Epidemic > lol they will move Humble Epidemic > if you agree Humble Epidemic > i promise.. just you and me.. and i keep my promises pRefer > not most of the time all the time Humble Epidemic > what a wuss pRefer > where do you want the fleet to withdraw to Nexa Necis > bx2 Nexa Necis > send em there Humble Epidemic > lol Nexa Necis > my alts there ratting, when you all show up, i undock and 1vs1 the raven pRefer > I was thinking more like Tash Nexa Necis > sure if you all go to tash id do it pRefer > anywhere in particular in that system Nexa Necis > on the emrayur gate is fine Nexa Necis > if humble wants his shot, 1vs1, no remote reps, no funny biz, im down They actually all leave and I am able to engage and score a win. Then the rest of them come running back and try to engage me. We proceed to battle it out with REPO lending logistics support and with their neutral friends doing the same for them. Neither side is able to score a kill. I was the only one with any DSP so not much I could do. It was super fun though and mucho props to the REPO guys for lending a hand. Funny thing was the system was dead quiet after that. Apparently Prefer only smack talks corps he thinks he can beat. He never said a word to REPO for interfering. Funny how that works. :) I stay logged out in Amarr and the next day I see Prefer is there all alone and his closest friends are way out in Vale. So you would think now that he has a chance at a 1vs1 he would take it and fight to the death, right? Nope. He tries to deagress and redock but it's too little, too late. Look at his kickass fitting! Heat sinks with autocannons? Huh? Notice armor is 100%? Complete fail! Of course he blames lag and redock bugs due to him dying, which would mean either way he completely lost 100%. He was planning on redocking either way. Pretty brave of him isn't it? As time goes on their gangs thin out and become less and less prevalent. I once again head out and look for trouble and find no shortage of them willing to mission during a war. I finally got lucky and they weren't tanked for my damage type. Every time I would surprise someone solo in a mission they were tanked up the ass for my damage types. So now I mix up my drone selection a bit more. We keep it up and continue to find them missioning. The call of the ISK is too much for them I guess. Gotta love funny bios FTW! I really laughed at that because Prefer was smacking at how they would dec us forever.... [ 2008.09.12 04:40:58 ] pRefer > we usually dont make people hit the bottle until at least the second week into a wardec [ 2008.09.12 04:41:25 ] pRefer > this si only the second day Should just start hitting the losing sleep phase now but no more than that They ended up retracting it after the string of losses. They claimed they didn't retract it, saying they let it lapse. Wrong. When a war lapses it reads..... 2008.08.31 22:13 CONCORD has declared this war invalid as it breaches one or more articles in the Yulai Convention. When you retract it shows.... 2008.09.17 23:24 The war between Civis Romanus Sum and The Really Awesome Players is coming to an end. Civis Romanus Sum has retracted the war against The Really Awesome Players. The war will be declared as being over after approximately 24 hours. Looks like a lot of their players didn't like the war and looking over their shoulders. So I decided to take a look at their relationship with the Trust Coalition. An alliance based out that direction. I noticed Civis was getting pilots out of the alliance and rotating them back in to the alliance. They can't handle us on their own so they need to draw from their alliance and ask our other targets to help them. Funny, TRAPS is so bad but they need all that help for lil ol us? Let's see the connection... Now a lot of the A14 guys are quitting corp and joining Civis. They even email me asking me to war dec them. This is coming from characters who never undock and if they do undock it's in a cloaking ship. The same characters who have 0 kills and 0 losses because they haven't undocked in 2 months. Yep, the war against A14 is going on it's 3rd month almost. I saw Prefer in local fighting his newest targets, smacking it up and bragging how he's outnumbered. It looks like A14 is waiting to join up with the Trust Coalition too. Guess they're waiting for us to drop the dec? We got an alt in Trust now so eventually we will have some fun with them too. We had a few small decs in between all of these. One of them was another FW with a lot of smackers in their corp. Once again they lectured me about how they should be allowed to smack talk and flip out because we stole 100k of Veldspar. Just because they are newbies they should be able to call people cocksuckers when you steal a 2k item from a rat wreck. Any retaliation against them is dishonorable and lowly. It doesn't matter that they talk about fucking your mom up the ass with a baseball bat, they are allowed to do that in return for your theft. They all ended up surrendering though. They even almost caught me once. I tried to engage a Drake and just as he went into armor a Falcon showed up and ruined my fun. Then a Raven and Crow too. The Drake got out and came back too. Close but no cigar! Fun times though. Right now we are fighting one of the funniest corps out there. You know how we're always finding the craziest people in Eve? My guy goes and steals some ore from them. They come back in a Navy Mega and a few other ships but won't agress his Thorax. El Diablos > Can i help you Suddken? El Diablos > Are you sure you want to do this Suddken? Sudoken > :) Sudoken > i wouldnt have touched it if i wasnt sure El Diablos > lol El Diablos > go on then, take a shoot Sudoken > well you have to engage first Sudoken > otherwise i cant El Diablos > your clever but still a n00b to me Sudoken > oh well it was worth a shot El Diablos > take that shot, see what happens Sudoken > umm i cant El Diablos > why not Sudoken > as i said you have to fire first El Diablos > i'm sure you have some gun fitted to that little tin boat of yours Sudoken > oh i do Sudoken > but that isnt how it works El Diablos > lol Sudoken > i cant shoot you until you shoot me El Diablos > i know how it works El Diablos > have a look how old this char is, n00b Sudoken > well you keep telling me to take the shot but i cant because you havent engaged me yet :D Sudoken > oh i saw how old it was El Diablos > engaged you? wft? El Diablos > i'll give you a clue, click on one of you pea shoots to aciviate it Sudoken > yeah and then concord will walk all over my face :D Dark Blazing > you were looking for a fight they are more than willing Sudoken > meh i dont fancy a fight with concord Dark Blazing > then fuck off Sudoken > if he had shot at me i would have shot back Sudoken > here i am being civilized and your using harsh language towards me Sudoken > i feel hurt MagicMaestro > you know what civilized means? MagicMaestro > impressive El Diablos > look, if you want to fight lets all fine a lowsec system and see what happens, if not then take you fart box of a ship and go play with some n00bs El Diablos > i'm not a fan of having some dickless wonder try to goat me into a fight in highsec, i'm not that stupid. if you want to fight then be a man and fuck off to lowsec like everyone else Let's look at our targets shall we? I love their CEO's bio. More bullshit. He claims they are not 13 year old players smack talking and getting in trouble by the GM's? More lies! Let's see.... Now that is pretty darn offensive and immature considering I've never said a single word to any of these guys. Local petitions him and his nasty and CCP jumps into action! Of course, being the asshole he is, he immediately redid his bio with the same stuff, just in smaller print. We've been petitioning them for foul language the last few days. They smack a lot. One of them convoed me to ask why we dec'd them. They also seem to embrace the rule that they get to do whatever they want to us when we steal from them. They get to do anything but war dec us or shoot at us. Smack talk is their game of choice. Then later their CEO convoes me and really just makes a complete ass of himself. He claims I am smack talking him and giving him attitude... I mean c'mon now. Calling all of our kills weak is a smack talk comment. He intimating that his corp would engage when sorely outnumbered. I can assure you, they don't. Even when a 1vs1 is there, they run. I mean if you're the stronger side and you have no fear of us, why smack us? Just enjoy the game. They claim to be PvP'ers so I would think the war would be up their alley. Once the war starts they have a very heavy presence. 15 people logged in and active vs. our 2 or 3 people. :) Such is Eve. No complaints here. It's all part of the territory for us. The nice thing was we racked up several kills on them, picking them off one by one. They got 1 kill on us. Our Rapier pilot got decloaked by a gate NPC and wasn't expecting it and he died. Lesson learned. Still, it doesn't mean we're going to give up anytime soon. We will do our best against a larger opponent. Keep an eye on our campaign against them. Hopefully we can change their opinions of TRAPS after a while. We will also have a really nice surprise for them. I can't go into details now for obvious reasons, but once it happens, you will know about it, and rest assured, you will smile. So what is the true cost of ore? It's infinite really. The theft of one Veldspar can spark a war. A item worth 2.3 ISK can end up costing a player, corp or alliance hundreds of millions worth of ISK. Are you willing to risk it is what you need to ask yourself before running your mouth off. We don't care if we lose 1 billion in ships. We accept that. As long as we can inflict a fair amount of damage back, we're happy.

Very entertaining series of articles.

Mr Tang?
... I do believe I have a kill on one of his ospreys.
I also believe that they miserably failed to suicide a friend's friend's HAC. Details hazy though : /

Good stuff though

Zeleka·

Love to read your stories Nexa, hope that you keep them coming. Once I have a good level of SP I hope to follow in similar footsteps =)

Stratx DeVayne·

Great read Nexa, I always enjoy reading of your adventures. Keep them coming and happy hunting!

killianbekker·

Funny stuff. Keep it coming.

Natasha Memonic·

Well nice story;) I like how you think, although in some cases you dont understand anything. Another thing is that you could at least mention something about yourself:P. Showing yourself of powerfull and all-knowing God who can in 100% know other intensions and thoughts is silly.

P.S. Why you didnt write about how your big friends behind your back will smash us? Maybe it will not happen - we will see:)

40 Yr old Virgin?·

6 accounts really?... so you're telling me that you spend 90+ Dollars a month playing this game? Not gonna lie that sounds kinda pathetic, correct me if i am wrong

freaky·

Well all these stories are one-sided. That's all you people complain about but then post nothing to refute anything I post so you just look like sore losers.

I am allowed to have opinions, just as you are. Feel free to post them here or write a story or something.

I never said I know it all, I just call it like I see it. Doesn't mean I am right of course. However, nothing I write is that far fetched. It's not as if I am making stuff up out of the blue.

As far as our friends decing you, it may or may not happen. Some of them read the story too and they all agreed, all you do is smack and you deserve to die. :P

However if it does happen, it won't be your corp, it will be your alliance instead.

Thanks for saying it's a nice story though. I suspect that was sarcasm though since your corp seems to be full of poor sports.

As for having 6 accounts, it cost me $0 per month thanks to buying GTC's with ISK.

Natasha Memonic·

Eh. By nice story i mean nice story. You should stop judging people so easly and looking for secret meaning that is against you. You put a lot of time to write it so i said normally "cool".

"Some of them read the story too and they all agreed, all you do is smack and you deserve to die." <-- As you said its all one-sided so they dont even have all picture.

Another thing is i dont like how you easly call whole corp losers and such. A bit of arrogance i see here. You didnt even meet all of us. (refering to begining of the comment). Is it worth hate mass because of units? Dont think so.

We can much more than only smacktalk and we showed that many times.

Natasha Memonic·

As you mention its one sided so your friends dont know much.

I dont understand why you hate whole corp because of units. Up to ya. (refering to last post)
We showed many times that we can much more than only smacktalk but im not gonna even try to prove anything now coz you are too negative anyway.

Natasha Memonic·

Ah and one more thing. According to the part of your story when you called us liars coz Space Bully said its 23:30 here, and "It's hard to tell but if you look at the time in the lower left corners, you can see it's 21:30 or so". Were you really serious about it? Dont you forgot that there is different time for different places on the world. I mean that wasnt even fair.

Natasha Memomic·

Ok im very sorry. After second reading i have to admit i misread first time about it, so you can freely ignore last comment.
(and i wrote so many comments coz somehow it didnt let me put everything in one - just cut everything off)

Ok good, I was gonna say Space Bully was quoting RL time, I was using Eve time. I also had ran a locate right after he claimed that no one was close and it showed the lone Raven on the other gate into Hatakani.

As I said, I don't profess to know everything. I do know that every single time I ran into Prefer he would instantly start smack talk and insults. Every time I ran into others they would ask for 1vs1's, which Humble did honor, but the others would not have because they kept claiming "1vs1 right now, none of my corpmates are nearby!" when my alt was cloaked watching 8 hostiles waiting on the gate at that exact moment.

Then the one chance your guy had for a straight up fight he had a neutral rep him up.

So it seems to me, many in your corp lie, smack talk and are basically hypocritical in reference to engagements and you defend a bunch of foul mouth smack talkers.

I don't know what to tell you. I can't speak for any motives you guys have in doing whatever it is you do. All I can judge you by is our interaction with you.

You put up a good amount of numbers and are "nice" enough to "help" the "defenseless" corps we dec'd. I use those terms lightly because again, I have no clue about your reasoning.

In Eve, you are definitely judged by the company you keep. If you hang in a corp/alliance of people who smack, lie and make false accusations and do that sort of thing, then you're going to be lumped in that category with them.

You may not like our play style, but you won't catch us acting like that in local. The last guy who acted like that was instantly removed from corp because it's not how we play.

very nice read m8 and i cant wait for the next one ;)

You talked to Vince eh? Lol. If you're bored sometime, check out his corp history. He was in a Corp called Corporate Security Advisors, whose CEO was an alt of Joharran Caessari.

I also have 6 accounts, I don't have them all subbed, no real need to, but if I had to money to do so I probably would.

An angry little would say I'm a sad sad individual simply because they are angry and are trying to pick apart an individual for ammunition to insult them with.

Freaky is win.

Great story once again Nexa, keep it up and kick some ass for our collective entertainment!

Bubbles·

Awesome read Nexa. I'll have to admit...I've flown with Gurney and his corp before (during my carebear days...). But pilots being dumb like that are asking to get whipped.

Tycho Caine·

Another great story. Makes days at work fly past so much faster. I think they should make reading your stories a mandatory requirement for noob smackers/miners/bears

Im glad I ran across this, was a great read!!

I think your attitude is spot on Nexa.

Confused·

Hey Nexa, been a reader of your stories for a long time now. I was just wondering something.

That first guy, worbird, you said that he never thought that you might have been afk when the convo started. Don't you have to be at the computer to accept the convo? I would probably have just assumed you were busy or ignoring me too, although I wouldn't have carried on.

Dark Shines·

Nexa we never ran from any fights m8, we had loads of stupid losses that shouldn't have happened. Your big surprise is that your friend stole our obe? Yeah that was a little annoying seeing as we had known him, or thought we did, for months and trusted him, but such is eve. Apart from that i personaly had fun, Sudoken was more than willing to engage which was cool. As to the surrender, well since the Shield booster shadarr dropped sold i didnt mind paying the surrender so we could get back to our everyday lives. I like pvp but i like being able to choose when i pvp.

freaky·

I distinctly remember you ran from my Taranis in Rand and didn't come back till there were 3 of you. I had other times that instead of running, your players tried to buy safe passage. I'd say that's about the same as running from a fight.

We had fun too. I just enjoy the fact your corp bio was the exact opposite of how your corp was in game.

You guys smacked us, made threats and all sorts of fun stuff and we never gave up.

Dark Shines·

I was in a kitsune with no guns, if you prefered i had just perma jammed you i could have i suppose.... if that is the case then we werent the only ones who would run from fights, as you yourself said its stupid to pick a fight when you are outnumbered, and the majority of kills on both sides were because people were out numbered.

freaky·

Not true dark. Of the 21 ship kills against you 11 of them were solo, 5 were 2vs1 which is not too bad.

Your CEO claimed we were idiots for not fighting you when it was 10vs2. Which I would assume when the numbers were in our favor you would willingly fight, but then he contradicted himself saying he wouldn't fight when outnumbered. I don't get why he expected us to do that.

Anyways, enjoy the new alliance. Hope it works out for you.

Krysta Gemme·

Heh, even insinuating that people leave Traps due to bad leadership is enough to make me want to log in and frag him myself.

I may have left Eve awhile ago, but it wasn't due to Traps. I just couldn't fit Eve into my life anymore.

...but being a part of Traps was, for lack of a better way to say it, a pleasure.

When you get into this MMO, an entire world is laid out before you. It really is a sandbox of an MMO, giving you the choice of where you want to go, and how you want to represent yourself.

I couldn't have made a better choice.

Keep these stories up Nexa and I might have to pay you guys a visit. :) L8r.

I have a friend whose father spends nearly all of his free time building model airplanes (he's building an RC jet now, actually). He most likely spends way more time in the garage than freaky does logged on, being retired and all. $90/month would be laughable to him. He spends more than that on fuel. Would you call him pathetic?

People occupy themselves in various ways. I know folks who do nothing but drive around the country in an RV paying $3.50 a gallon getting 8 mpg, all summer. That $90 got them like 200 miles and 4 hours of driving. I'd bet freaky waits longer than 4 hours to get one cloaky missioner. Are they pathetic losers as well?

What do you have to say about all those Eve players who just spent lots of money and time flying to Iceland for the fanfest? I guarantee more than $90 was spent. Shit, I'd be the per-capita beer spending was more than that. They were all 40 year old virgins as well?

Point is, don't begrudge someone their hobby, or makes assumptions about them because of how they choose to occupy their time. Look, I don't kow freaky from Adam, but there's no reason to assume that any of us don't have a life simply because we spend time flying internet spaceships. Same as with every other hobby. You spend your time how you like, I'll do the same, and we keep the disparaging remarks to a minimum and act like civilized adults, deal?

Freaky's obviously having fun. That's what a game is meant to do: provide fun. Pick another reason to dislike him, one with a little substance perhaps...

Logan Fyreite·

Just wanted to lol at the fact that worbird seems to get around a lot. He is in fact now up around Korama/Auro area playing with us. We do our best to kill him first. Got a Raven of his and a hauler just the other day in a string of fights. Think they killed more of our ships but the smack was fun none the less, especially from him. Good to see people can change.

I would say nice stories but really these are more like journals of how awesome your life must be deccing these people lol.

I just one to say one thing:

"The Firetail sits 1k from me and I swap targets and instapop him then continue back working on the Drake's shitty tank."

I don't know why but I rofled my arse off at that line ha ha ha, awesome as always man, keep it coming. :)
