Basically I've spent my last 3 years in eve being an explorer. Never engaging in any combat; my pvp exists of being cloaked and trying to avoid people while taking their stuff or exploiting their space. So today I re-activated my alt account and was looking at this char I made a while ago. Back when chars still started with about 800k SP. All I had to do is train up propulsion jamming and I was ready to go! I decided to try my luck at can flipping. I read all about it but never tried it myself. I've stolen people's stuff before as an explorer but that usually resulted in cloaking and getting the hell out.
All I had with this char was a Tristan with all T1 stuff. 2x Light Electron Blaster I's, 1x 1MN Afterburner, 1x Stasis Webifier, 1x Warp Disruptor I, 2x Overdrive Injector System, 1x Small Armor Repairer and a Hobgoblin in its drone bay. I roamed around a few lowsec systems but wasn't lucky enough to run into anyone. So I decided to visit some mining hubs and ran into quite a lot of mining barges with cans but none of them would bite.
After about an hour or so I was ready to give up, when I warp to this belt in a 0.7 system. I see a Retriever with 3 Warrior I's out. Alright! I eject some crap and take all the Veldspar from his can. Orbit around 1000m... wait... wait... wait... blinking red!
Whoooo! My weak setup combined with my 800k SPs (of which 600k SP was in drones) was eating away at his shields rather slowly, while his warriors were melting through mine rather quickly. I decided to target his drones instead. My victim started talking some crap in local, while I shot down his drones one at a time. Halfway through his armor, he told me to run because his badass fleet of friends was underway, but I wasn't going to give up now. The adrenaline had just started flowing! Not a minute later I saw a great big flash of flame and plasma!

A few minutes later one of his friends arrived in a Butrix so I took off. My first kill, but certainly not my last. Looking forward to fighting something bigger than a barge. Even though I've flown since 2006, I feel like I just started playing. Yaaaaaarrrrr!
