A lot of people must think that as you get lower in security level systems, it gets more hostile. Well, they're wrong. Between 0.4 and 0.1, everything is the same, just as from 0.5 to 1.0, it is more or less the same. but then there's 0.0. Having never been there before today, i figured it was a big scary place where you die every two and a half minutes. Well, judging by the camp my corp just ran through, i was right. An hour or so later, after docking in the 0.1 before the 0.0 plunge, the cmp wnet elsewhere. I jumped through to 0.0, and was amazed. Everything - the nebulas, the stargates, the planets (and of course the lack of sentries) looked beautiful. Had it not been for a little number at the top left of the screen, i'd have sworn it was a noob system designed to awe them into subscribing. Damn.
And after a day there, I feel i like it more. Sure, maybe when some ganksquad runs through, i'll have to dock for a while, but i have no reason to ever go to a different system (other than returning home for ammo, and the lack of a market). All my rat spawns are here, from cruiser+2 frigs, to 5 cruisers, to BS and 2 cruisers (which would be that 2.5 minute death thing, if i ran into them that often). I really am amazed. Its a great place (other than having to drag a badger out there full of ammo, especially while i'm an outlaw without instas through lowsec.
I daresay, i feel safer in the solitude of this system, rather than the illusional safety of lowsec.
