I recieved this from a regular reader of EVE-PIRATE.com and thought I'd be so kind as to post this :)

Title: This is my first eve-pirate entry. I am a belt pirate and a bad man.
My first encounter of the evening was a Brutix quietly ratting. Swooping in with my Taranis I engaged, webbed and scram'ed. A ransom of 15m was offered once structure was hit but as local started to fill up the mark still hadn't paid. Nervous of the other ships on the scanner, and the length of time it was taking him to transfer the money I choose to dispatch the hapless battlecruiser for loot. Unfortunately it was the same moment the Brutix pilot managed to find the "give money" button. He died and I got paid. Isk returned along with a grumble to be faster next time I looked to the can for solace. Tech I rubbish. Grrrr. Not only that but rats got the killmail too!
Undeterred I moved on. Flying though a highway system I noted two outlaws and another player in local plus a Megathon on the scanner (and judging by the name it belonged to the non-pirate - always rename your ships kids!). Attacking battleships solo in an interceptor is a highly risky activity but I figure that he probably won't have a scram so I can always warp out. Jumping in I landed 65km from the Mega and choose an angled approach; before he managed to align I had closed the distance and had him scram'ed. I can see he has rails but am overjoyed to find he doesn't launch drones or have nos. I drive home my attack whilst keeping an eye on the scanner for the two outlaws. They don't appear and the Mega logs just as I get him to structure. He now must be killed on principle. Unfortunately all of the better loot was destroyed but I was still chuffed to get another battleship kill solo in a frigate.

The next day, again in my Taranis I note a ratting team of a Ferox, Caracal and Stabber. Fighting outnumbered and outgunned is about the most fun you can have in Eve so I head to the belt. The Stabber and Caracal are close, the Ferox further out. I engage the Caracal without having to use my mwd. Before they realise what is happening over half the Caracal's shields have been burned off but then comes the response. My shields are ripped off in a matter of seconds and I can hear that I am scrambled. I turn off my scram and web to save cap for repping and brace for the fight. The Caracal goes down with me at half armour and the Stabber targeted. Still within blaster range it is engaged and goes down fast in a hail of fire. Forced to prod the mwd to close to the Ferox I take an almighty hit before I settle into a nice orbit and start pounding his shields.
A 20m ransom is offered and rejected. Breaking its tank proves a little troublesome whilst killing its drones and repping myself but eventually it is destroyed without a scratch to my structure. All in all an awesome fight, aggression and surprise saw me through.
