So I come home after a rough day (bashed my knee to hell, among other things) and log in to find my home system loaded. About 25 people. This is higly unusual. I "wtf" in local and immediately get a gang invite from a corpmate. Misphits. Apparently they were out for some revenge.
I undock in my AC Tempest and book it to where the gang is assembling. Apparently one of their tacklers is warping in and out of orbit of a planet. We assemble there and wait to see if they feel they can take us on. After about 20 minutes of arguing, they show up out of nowhere and immediately attack one of our cruisers. Game on.
Apparently they couldnt decide who to attack. At one point they all wanted me, and I thought I was going to die, but I charged in anyway. The bastard Munin was tagging me from 50km out and outrunning me, so I went for the nearest target. An Apocalpse. I start orbiting and opening up with everything, but the bastard doesnt want to go down quietly.
Meanwhile, as all of this is going on, our Scorps are giving their other battleships hell, forcing them to warp in and out so they can re-lock, only to be jammed again. The Apoc finally gives in. The Munin gets turned inside out by a Vampphoon. Their lone Scorp gets nearly everyone else on him. Megathron died somewhere in the confusion as well. Our losses were light. A Stabber and an Incursus. And my pants after I nearly soiled myself coming within seconds of having my light tank broken. More hot loot as well.
All in all, a fun fight.

At least it was a planet this time; when I first heard, I thought maybe sentries pwned our two guys.

actually, i think the sentry guns did get the incursus. he had to warp out and made the wrong choice, i think.
