As of 19:35 GMT+1 I recieved an email telling me my account password has been changed and was told to login and set a new for increased security.
Seems a number of accounts were compromised (albait no personal info leaked as they are stored separately), CCP decided to reset the passwords of a number of accounts.
I'd like to applaud CCP for their efforts and honesty, since I am sure this is not the first time any MMO has had their passwords compromised.
But Im more than certain that a number of MMO's have tried to cover that up.
Dont panic, relax and keep pirating!
When dealing with your account, steps to ensure safety:
Read the official Eve-online.com website.
Always write the URL manually, never follow links which tell you to login somewhere. Always manually enter the URL.
Check the forums, usually they are source for info if news is authentic.
Read the EVE-Client MOTD.
