Syndicate tour

Syndicate
This is your guide to Syndicate, it will be expanded over time and include nice sightseeing points in Syndicate. I'll start this guide from the main points from where most people enter Syndicate, and it's also the point where they will turn back. Sometimes even sent back. The system I'm talking about is MHC-R3. This system is quite notorious for being often being camped by different groups and corporations. You're not supposed to enter this system unprepared. Don't jump into this system from Harroule with a battleship, even if you have 7 stabs. These days with the interdictor spheres even a battleship with tons of warpstabs will be caught inside a warp-bubble. You should always ask someone in a fast and inexpensive ship to scout-ahead before jumping into this area. Syndicate is one of the best regions for high-end NPC's with big ISK yields. The ore is usually not as good as other regions of 0.0, but the easy accessability of this space is what makes it a good area for starting out in 0.0. Even if the area itself has a large population of pirates and other unique locals it is safer than other areas since there arent that many alliances patrolling this sector of space. Most people dont stay in MHC for long, a relatively safe route out of this system is through UM-Q7F. You'll have to take a back-route to continue. In UM-Q7F you will also find two stations where you can reprocess and manufacture stuff. You can also go out directly through 2X-PQD (one station with reprocessing) but this system has a bunch of angry locals already but may be a nice point to hunt rats from. This system leads to 6E-578 which is connected to MHC-R3, so if you want to get deep into 0.0 you might want to go through 6E- or F67E-Q. Another point of entry to Syndicate can be reached by 5 jumps from MHC-R3 is PF-346. Which is a plunge from highsec 0.7 system Orvolle. It's very often camped, perhaps even more than MHC-R3. Avoid this system if you can, it's not a recommended entrypoint due to it's gate-setup. It has one point of entry into 0.0 from Orvolle and there is one more gate to the rest of 0.0 to FD-MLJ. If you want to get past the campers, you will not only have to get past the first camp but also those that follow you to FD-MLJ. A third and less known entry to Syndicate is from Barleguet (0.1) into Vestouve. It's less used but there are a bunch of local corporations a few jump into 0.0 which you may want to watch out for. They will try to shoot at you, but they are mostly harmlessly hunting NPC's. The piracy-level in Syndicate has always been high. Perhaps one of the reasons why alliances stay out except for the fact that there are no points where alliances claim conqerable stations and good ore. Some problems which you may face are traveling fleets. There's really only one fleet you need to watch out for, but they blob a lot and may be a pain in the @ss. Goon fleet. They're mainly focused around S-U8A4, however their people often travle in groups between the entry-points of 0.0 to S-U8A4 where they have their point of origin in Syndicate. What you want to do is find a calm system with friendly locals. You can never expect to have a system with a station for yourself, your best choice is to make friends. Most often people in 0.0 are more worried of getting shot at, so the choice of defence is to shoot first. Stay around, prove to be a cool person and you'll be fine. Be careful and never get too close to people whom you dont trust 100%. Use scouts while traveling, as you may find warpstabs to not be enough of a safety-measure.

Hmm. I've only been in Syndicate once (for a mission) and it resulted in me getting podded by a bunch of guys who, after I asked nicely, told me I was free to pass through their gate camp. (PF-346)

Haven't gone back in since, though I'm getting interested in it since ratting in 0.1 is getting dull. Too much competition and not enough good rats. Very low number of pirates though, so that's good (for me anyway).

It's the pirates that keep me out of 0.0 though, as I lack a key ingredient for a successful trip to 0.0: Friends.

I guess I should just join a good corp and alliance soon.

Syndicate Regular·

a 0.0 corp or alliance is not at all a requirement.

I spent the last month in Syndicate making tons of ISK and I am in an empire carebear corp. Make a trip late at night and make tons of BMs for everything you could need around the area you will be in. Look for a good system and spend your time there. Be friendly and most of the locals will be the same way in return. Syndicate regulars are mostly made up of two groups. corps who travel together, who you dont want to live in the same system as (unless you know for sure they are friendly to you). And lots of individuals out there who are looking for ISK and sec. standing. I am anti-pirate , but I live in the same system as several pirates. We have an understanding that we are there for some downtime and ISK. I leave them alone, they leave me alone, and we all Safespot it when certain corps come through.

yeah i live in syndicate too and its a nice place to be... always some targets arround for killing ...

there is another entry point near D85... but be aware that some nasty pirates are always arround there

Syndicate is fun place to fly.

Having friends there is a definite plus.

You didn't mention the entry point from Reblier, but that is quite often camped too.

Yeah, nice guide for new players. In fact, I didn't realise the new entry point from Barleguet!!!

Syndicate is a great place to come in and have a good chance of finding some pvp. Personally, I like the way that interdictor bubbles cover the entire jump in area. So multistab BSs are certainly no longer safe!
