Pirate code of conduct!

Ander·
This is just a suggestion for any serious pirate-corp and their corp-operations. This pirate code of conduct is based upon the rules of real-life pirate captain John Phillips and Bartholomew Roberts 1. Everyone shall obey orders. 2. Booty will be shared out as follows: 1 share to each fighter on the op; 1 1/2 shares to the leader; 1 1/4 shares to the tackler. - The increased share for a squad lead is to encourage people to dare to lead a squad. To increase activity basicly. - The tackler has one of the most dangerous assignments and often risk to lose his ship. 3. Anyone keeping secret of skimming the loot will be warned and have his share cut. The second time he will be booted from the corp. 4. The punishment for attacking your own is reimbursing the losses and a disciplinary punishment. 5. Anyone being lazy or failing to keep his ship topnotch, loaded with ammo or properly setup for combat will lose his share of the booty. 6. Everyone may vote on all important decisions. 7. Everyone may have a share of captured quafe and slaves. 8. Anyone found stealing form another member of crew or the corp will be shot down and kicked from corp. 9. Logging in battle will face disciplinary punishment. 10. Smacktalkers will face disciplinary punishment. 11. One may not have a share of booty until he has invidually made 15mill isk for the corporation. 12. The compensation of losing a ship in a corp-op is the insurance cost, unless told otherwise. Disciplinary punishment: Share of booty will be cut for the next 5 corp-operations. No matter how long time pass between each time you take part in a corp-operation.

Very interesting list, thought i would add "to be honest in the ransoms". If they pay you, you can't kill them, otherwise the CEO should be informed and a disciplinary action should be taken.

Everyone should get an equal split really, tacklers are needed just as much as fighters and the leader shouldnt need extra :/

Its interesting but its only really for new corps or ones were people dont need eachother, couldnt imagine a veteran pirate corp having those rules

We give everyone on the killmails an equal split of the loot. If its a ransom then we see who actually went hostile (guns or tacklers). When we jumped a freighter at a gate only a few of us held it down and "persuaded" the pilot to pay with some holes in his ship. Since it was at a gate the log showed who went hostile and only those people got a split of the ransom.

Very interesting read, while I agree with some of the other posters that not all of the rules would work for a normal set up, they can be modified to work.

Where this list would work perfectly would be a RP pirate corp, maybe throw in some of the rules from Riddick's necromongers "you get what you kill" making leadership and such a volatile thing.

Could be interesting at least hehe.

That you 'keep what you kill' thing would be kinda cool. But i doubt it would work very well in reality.

::has visions of members camping in copries to kill their urber bs' and split the loot, and then turning on each other in a free for all over that x-large core type armor repper....::

Slothen·

and then... how does one split an uber officer mod among 5-6 pirates?

Neptoone·

hum... selling it and spliting the isk? :P

Speaking from experience of some exceptional pirate corps I can say that whilst these rules may apply in the real world, life is slightly different in EVE. DNA had rules, but the reason we were so good was beacause of our "modus operandi"; no bullshit, no smacktalk, just jump in, kill stuff and get out of Dodge.

Even though I would say most of us were equal in capability and experience, our leader, Nilkarus, was effectively a dictator. We would talk things over but at the end of the day, Nilk made the decisions. And whilst it seems strange it worked. We kicked alot of ass!

fuck rats all of you..

NO-ONE SPECIAL·

i have to agree with Anonymous here fuck you little children, You are playing at things, and with rules you will never understand. Ahh fun times... See you in the verse noobs!!

What you seem to fail to understand that these rules werent serious per say. It was a form of roleplay and "for fun". Just as piracy in eve is for fun.

Some people take stuff way to serious.
