Well Hello There...

Verone·

I joined the Eve-Pirate authors clan this morning in the hope of sharing a lot of my experiences with aspirating pirates, and veterans alike. I hope to post all my work here, so regular readers will see a hell of a lot of me if all goes according to plan.

But before that, introductions I guess. Some of you may know me, many of you will not, so I'll start from the beginning I guess.

I've been playing Eve a long time, Verone is my second character, on what used to be a second account and yeah, I'm embarassed to admit it, I used to be a carebear of sorts. A mission runner and production specialist.

I created Verone initially to skill up to mine and haul, but quickly took to PvP when my first corp "The Dragons" [DMTC] were harassed by Corp1 in The Forge in mid 2004. For several weeks members of my corp dropped around me, destroyed by gate sniping Apocalypse class battleships, and outlaws in asteroid belts in Akora and the surrounding systems. Then the day that changed my course in Eve arrived. I lost my badly set up Thorax to the sniping Apocalypse of "Vadar Kramax", who at the time was a member of Corp1. From then on, I took a shine to PvP after feeling the rush of losing something of value. Soon after I left and skipped through Huff Technologies before joining Sniggerdly. For best part of a year I flew with the finest pirates and outlaws in Eve, feeding off their infinite tactical and technical knowledge of ships and modules. I began my piracy career in Essence, around the systems "Parts", "Obalyu" and "Atlulle", harassing corporations who were later to become the founding members of the Haine Foundation. The Blackbird was my choice, and with a well matched wingman by the name of Cetshwayo, I ransomed my first battleship. An Apocaylpse. From then on my life in Eve changed, I began to rise in Sniggerdly, sucking up knowledge of PvP as best as I could and turning it into something useful on my part. Before long I was running PR and Recruitment for Sniggerdly, under the watchful eye of the most knowledgeable person I know in Eve, Shamis Orzoz, and had developed a well strung public presence in Eve-Online due to the my actions on the Forums, in defense of our way of life, and my nature of attacking and ransoming people in low security empire. After almost a year of sheer carnage, I moved my base of operation to Covryn, in Essence where I set up and ran across most of low sec empire ransoming anything that moved. It came to the point where I had not had a ransom offer turned down in almost six weeks while operating in that area, and had sucessfully made over 0.6 billion isk without losing a ship, or without taking one from another pilot. All that could be done was now done, and I became slighty bored with making isk and seeing no action. I mean, hell, I even had a guy whom I warped in on in Covryn pay me 5 million isk for his Thorax's safe passage BEFORE I managed to even shoot or scramble him. I'd had my day I guess, and looked for a new direction. It was then I ran into my wingman Siren Shiva, and in the company of Magic Trev we headed to E02-IK, home of Northern Intelligence, where Veritas Immortalis allowed us to sign up temporarily to repair our security standings. After almost a month of hard grinding a 7/10 angel complex in QQ3, we were ready to hit rens again in style. It was at this point that Veto was formed, initially as an RP based empire PvP corp which attacked coporations for their high standings to specific factions and corporations. We went through sevreal months of beating the crap out of targets in empire, while some of them put up a pretty decent fight, and others ran with Warp Core Stabilizers for their lives. We had much sucess, driving off one corp into 0.0 under the wing of an alliance, and causing another, whom threatened us with a war declaration for attacking them in low security space, to publically apologise for their actions. It was at this point that Veto fell silent, and time was spent moneymaking and preparing for another stage of targets. For some reason that never came, and several of our members rejoined their old corporations. It was then that I decided to disband Veto. At present my corp is undergoing a massive overhaul, all the RP members were stripped of roles, and have left on good terms, and now a new age is dawning on Veto. I am returning to my roots. I hope to make Veto one of the most notorious pirate corporations in Eve, heavily biased on ransoming and at the same time develop a reputation that will strike fear, but also deep respect into the hearts of those who hear our name. I take this as a fresh start, a second chance at doing what I do best, with a skilled and developing wingman at my side, and a solid foundation to hopefully build a corporation based on pure fear and respect. Watch this space. - V
