I just bought a new clone after loosing both my ship and my pod in a fair 5 vs me battle. but i could stand it, jumped into my other ishkur and checked in local. only 2 persons other than me in system.
i decide to check the belts. and i see 2 ferox's. obviously ratting, so i jump in, just to see what they where doing, and they jumped into another belt. i quickly followed them, starting to think about trying to gank one of them fast.
as i exit warp, i see that i've landed on top of them, so i just float in space, waiting for one of them to do something. one locks me. "oh shit.. this is bad, i have 2 bc's locking me". and so they start shooting. without thinking, i engage my nos, the blasters and web/scrams one of them, concentrating everything on him. as they chew thru my shields, i can see that they arent doing much damage, so i deploy my drones and im thinking "wow, i might be able to pull this off". when he's shield goes down, im already into my armour.
i activate my repper and just stare at he's hp. so i convo him. well, the chatlog talks for itself:

So, there i am, smiling, shaking, feeling the adrenaline running thru my vains, and i just realize something, this was a freggin miracle, a AF takes on 2 BC's and walks away victorious :)

It's not exactly amazing that you took them on in an AF, they obviously didn't know what they were doing and also the resists on the AF shields are frankly ridiculous. Missiles that should be doing 200 damage may only do about 10-20.
as ginger would no doubt point out, AF's are crazy overpowered!
..or at least the pilots who fly them ;)
Zandrie, you are freckin' crazy!
Intera, why should a missile do 200 damage everytime it hits a target? The only thing garantueed with a missile is that it actually HITS its target (unless it is out of range). The amount of damage done to the target is calculated with a couple of factors and they are in my opinion absolutly OK.
Anyway, you dont attack an AF with M weapons unless it is webbed. Best way to kill them is a M nosferatu in combination with a webber. Once webbed and nossed, you can throw rocks to kill it.

Each Race has its great ships. For the Gallente, both assault ships happen to be amongst its greats. The Amarr are not so lucky.

I love my ishkur. I'm het to get into a decient fight with it, but in my carebear moments, I've tanked a whole 6/10 by myself, it's a crazy ass ship
