Can't resist it

TorveStardust·

Well, it has to be said, joining an alliance in the hope of finding a purpose to PvP is hopeless, possibly because I just have to kill someone every day (in Eve, for those that don't get it :-p), but more likely because of combat leaders that make you wish you're shot down first, so you no longer have to stick with it. Anyway, today I decided to break the rules, both corp and law, again and head out for a target at Amamake, that famous system.

Music on, ready to lock and blast anything I happen to come across, I start scouting the belts, after some hopeless attempts to try and do it with the scanner. It remains pretty quiet at the belts, so I get to enjoy the nice view for about 20 minutes, until I at last find a Rupture. Actually it found me, and I was already warping when it entered the belt. I turned around in my own Rupture as fast as I could, and came in 36km off. He was happily shooting at some rats. I hit my afterburner, and start moving towards him at a horrible slow speed (at such a moment, anything less than 1000 m/s feels slow). When in range, I give him everything I've got, including some ac's, missiles, nos, scrambler and webber. We exchange some bright coloured beams, and when he's nearing hull, I decided I'd be kind against this one and try to ransom. Shutting all weapons down, I open a convo, which he accepts, hurray!

Or perhaps not hurray, I ask him for a 4 mill ransom, which seems pretty fair for me for a Rupture, only to be laughed at. Well, so be it, I finish this guy off, and let his pod go (I'm too good). Checking the loot, I see he had several tech 2 items onboard or fitted, and some rat loot, together easily worth 12 mill.

Victim: Loki Nightshade
Alliance: None
Corp: Omega Shipping and Minerals
Destroyed: Rupture
System: Amamake
Security: 0.4

Involved parties:

Name: TorveStardust (laid the final blow)
Security: -2.9
Alliance: Xelas Alliance
Corp: Elite Storm Enterprises
Ship: Rupture
Weapon: Dual 180mm AutoCannon I

While still wondering why he didn't simply pay 4 mill and save a lot more, I get the following mail from him:

you are a budget pirate arent you? Only 4 mill. Scraping the bottom of the barrel with that shit

Weird guy, he laughed at me when I was giving a reasonable offer, and moments later, he tells me that ransom was too low... fine by me, more profit for me in the end, and personally, I love hatemails, even though you can't really call this a hatemail.

This was my firt story, hope it isn't too bad, fly safe everyone.
