Very nice fighting. The punisher is an excellent frig, you can make it even better by training up your NOS skills even just to level 1 to fit that one small NOS. Good story, hope to hear more from your fights, well untill you have to deal with the dreaded Carebear stabs of doom.
Already encountered stabs. On a ferox, had atleast 2 as i had him scrambled.
Now i do realize i would just scratch his paintwork, but i do like a teaze.
Being a "Dreaded Carebear", actually I think just Dread Carebear sounds better :-) I crossed paths with Mephisto in Pakkonen last night (local time). I do give him credit for trying to attack me while I was sitting there in my Ferox (and no stabs for me thankyou). I was taking it out for some exercise and just admiring the view. Imagine my surprise when a frig comes straight at me.
But even with a 7.5k scrambler and all the other goodies, I could have sat there tanking him all nite. The main reason he got away was I was laughing so hard I forgot to scram and web him, although I did have a NOS eating his cap and was spitting heavies at him fairly quickly, and as far as sending my T2 drones after him...well...that was one of those afterthoughts that really annoy you...about 30 minutes too late :-(. DOH!
It was fun while it lasted...looking forward to meeting you somewhere again...next time bring a BS, just for the hell of it. I don't think there's enough big-ship PVP out there :-)
Hehe, I remember when I got cocky in my new Taranis and was sure I could take any cruiser. This is when I learned about how the webb/NOS combo will ruin an interceptor's day.
I was in 0.0 space and had just jumped through a gate and saw a Ferrox ratting about 20 km away. I didn't have a scram fitted at the time, but I thought it would be funny to make a Ferrox run from my tiny Taranis.
As I pulled into a tight orbit about this Ferrox, Blasters pounding away, I thought about how powerful my little ship was. The Ferrox could do nothing...and did nothing for a while.
I now know that he was just waiting out his target lock on me (or perhaps he was laughing so hard that he couldn't do anything for a bit).
In the end, I was trying to escape his web range so I could then escape his scram range. I had no cap due to his NOS, which in turn deactivated my AB...I was now throughly informed as to what a cruiser could do to an interceptor.
He didn't destroy me, but I offered a ransom and he let me go. What a way to learn the limits of an inty. As I jumped out of system to go repair myself, all of local was laughing at me...and justifiably so. :)
I'd just like to update on my progress. Do not laugh at the awesomeness of The Punisher. Just took out my first battlecruiser, a Cyclone.
To be fair, i had some help from NPC's but it was all planned i swear. Even him running out of ammo ;)

Vance Avalon; I really like how you told that story, and kudos to you for sharing the....well lets face it, embaracing details=)) it reminds me of a similar event, where we (gang of 21) in a mix of BS, cruisers, and a few frigs, were sitting at a gate with 3 crows comeing in close in turn to show our mighty fleet that they were on top. (wartargets BTW) after a few turns our best pilot, who had been laying low throughout the event had one crow within 21km, f1 f2 for double BIG TIME nos, which just ate every tiny bit of cap outta the little fella, shutting down his MWD giving the ravens just enough time to wreck his ass with a few bigtime longrange missiles. oh happy day. they made one attempt to recover his can, but no deal. they then decidet to leave the systen, through the gate we camped, (there were others) and so the first two came in and went out using their instas, but the 3 one ran into problems, he came in at 15km for some reason unknown, and we were lucky enough to get a lock and scramble on him before he could undo his mistake... and needlass to say it didn't take 21 mixed ships long to bring him down. he didn't even make an attempt to get his pod out so bye gone to that aswell....
aaah the good times....
anyway, that was just on a sidenote, after reading vance's story.

As a fellow member of SAK, i can say i saw the other side of this battle and indeed you wasted two of my friend's ships. a small ruckus was made and Ana, a resident pirate of SAK, stepped up the the plate.
She was congratulated heartily and felt accomplishment at the retribution she brought up on the Amarr Agressor of SAK, until she jumped back into high sec and was wasted by concord turrets for shooting you first.
It was a fun fight, indeed. Things got hairy for me though when I got too close, so I decided to sacrifice my NOS for range on my turrets. Hope to see you around more sometime, and feel free to drop me an evemail if you ever wanna go for a friendly duel. As for Skinny, I felt kinda bad for him, and I had refitted my Cormorant around a little. So I figured "Eh, why not." And headed that way. I can, however, say sorry for podding you. I didn't notice the congrats until after everything was done. So I was like "Oops :/".
But to add insult to injury, C reffered to me as 'she' in his post. This is indeed true. ;)
