Y'alright there folks?
Tis I, Pliskkenn!
Now, heres a brief overview of the events for me for around, ooo the last month.
I leave a mercenery corp with a bunch of friends hoping to seek something different "It wasnt the corps fault, or its members" and due to complications and a few disagreements, the 5 of us soon got scattered all over the place, 2 went back to teh corp, and 2 into ACSN. I however, was left corpless and destitute.
So, I bummed around for a little bit, not doing alot, floating around low sec and high sec alike, doing very, very little. This goes on for a few weeks, as I was hoping to return to Terrorism, however this week after much thought and the like, I was told I could not return, and so I was now all alone in the big world of EVE.
Then, fate conspired to bring me out of this gutter and presented me with my friend and former corp mate Izo Azlion leaving ACSN to return to empire.
After much talk and random banter, it was decided we'd start our own corperation, a pirate corperation, with the aspiration to one day be as well known as the likes of Sniggerdly and Veto. Mercenery work was also an option, however a Merc contract would mean strict targets and its all to much hastle to have fun.
So, yesterda, Malum Vir was born, with me and Izo its members.
Anyway, back to what you want hear, or not, if this isnt your thing. (Which if its not, why are you here?!)
We found a clump of low sec systems in a pocket of relative high sec, FULL of people from various corps. So, me and Izo saddled up, him in his Ishkur, me in my Jaguar and set up a few SS's. We begin scanning around, and within about 5 minutes we find a target sat alone in a belt, a Vexor, from a character about 2 monthes old IIRC.
We both warp in and to our luck we land 6km away from Cruiser, perfect for warp scrambling ^^. We both lock into tight orbits, Izo's drones explode from his bay and soon begin swarming around the brightly plated ship, anti matter screaming from his blasters and metal slugs spraying forth from my Autocannons we ready ourselves for the release of his drones.
Orange glow from the small nos's spirals around his ship, the humming of scramblers beats away the seconds and stil not much response from the pilot, duel webbed, he isnt going anywhere, he kick in his Nos and blaster on Izo to little effect, his armour is already crumpling with less than about 20 seconds into the assault. The meagre returning fire having little effect on the Assault Frigate.
Then a gasp "Oh no, another pirate" as a Thorax warps in around 16 km away from us, the vexor erupts in blue flame sending molten metal chunks into space, we soon turn our attention onto our visitor, deciding to chance it against the fabled frigate killer, hoping for the rush of battle to be prolonged.
We were not disappointed.
Within a second Izo say's he's been drained off all his capacitor and 5 drones from the Thorax are unleashed from his bay, the swarms pass each other as the Gallante ships are interlinked between orange funnels of nosferatu's, clouds of whispers from their webifiers, and the unsoundly unsyncronised drumming of their jammers.
I soon fall into orbit, cannons roaring away ripping through the shields of the cruiser, the ringlets of my tracking disruptor away, I soon notice Izo's health is plummeting at an astonishing rate, then we remember the one thing all frigate pilots should put first in combat "The drones!" we begin to remove his drones *I had to sift between the ones that were friendly and not" and then notice that appart from the nos, nothing else seems to be coming from the Thorax. A nosferatu or two is then placed on me and my capacitor is drained completely of power.
We soon reach the lower end of the Thorax's armour, but neither had the power to activate a scrambler to keep the prey down for the kill, and he flee's the scene. We quickly seacrh through the Vexor's loot, take 2 T2 Blasters and a piece of armour and quickly retreat to one of the SS's incase someone else were to join the frey.
Izo's ship was near crippled state, but with 15 minutes to wait, it would soon be back to its former glory. The pilot of the Thorax convo's us, telling us how he was helping a corpie who had cried for help and then told us his life story and how we were lucky to not have met with better drones. I think his name was Joel....seemed a nice chap anyway.
And so, we decide that now that this system was very much aware of our presence, to move next door, to the other low security system in this pocket.
We construct a few SS again and sift through local, again a busy system with a myriad of peoples, do they think the small bridge of high sec makes this area safe? I can only assume.
We warp to a planet which had a plethora of belts around it, and to our luck, we again find a target with rapid succession, a harpy. Hurray! We warp in to his belt and again fate had blessed us, we arrived 800m away from the pilot and his assault frigate. Soon locked, scrammed, nos'd, webbed and disrupted, we begin the deadly spiral dance around the Caldari masterwork, and make short effort of him.
Izo quickly holds the pod in place while I sift through the loot, T2 blasters, and the rest was gaff, Civi shield booster :S....The mind boggles. Izo begins with a 20 million ransom on the pod, seing as the pilot had about the same age as Izo and me combined, but for a speedy escape, we drop it to 10 and this is met. The pilot warps off glad that he wasn;t the only person who would ransom.
We retreat to wait off our time and return to our base nearby to sell the loot and share the profits, all in all, we made around 7 mill from the night each, not bad for about 1 hours work, we hoped we would get graced with many more days like this for a fledgling corperation.
And so for that day,we called it a night.
But wait, this story does not end! (Yes its long, but I assure you you'll enjoy it, because if you don't, then why are you still here ^^)
The next day I log in, and return to the system we began killing in last night, I wait around, looking for a target, again a busy system, but the belts seem empty, I then spy that in the direction of a complex, there is both a blackbird and a celestis, and I decide that lady luck is on my side, and kick the Jaguar into warp.
I appear there to see them fighting the NPC's, bot haround 25 km away, retreating in my direction. I fire up the afterburner and begin my approach, I had expected them to flee, but I had assumed right earlier, and lady luck was my mistress tonight. I lock and scramble the BB, soon fit into the orbit that was so familiar by now and attack, Autocannons blazing, nosferatu glowing, disruptor pinging away, she fell before she could lock me, her friend in the Celestis had moved to less than 900m away and had locked me, silly girl.
Moving swiftly away from the remains of the the Caldari ship I repeat the same combat manuevers I had used since I began and ripped her apart without any return fire. I swift through the loot as an NPC frigate locks me.....he popped to, bang! Some basic loot, but some cruiser sized named items, I take them and make my leave to sell them
Around 2 mill profit, I am impressed. And sated. For now....
Malum Vir has just begun and were looking for pilots willing to go on regular hunts, contact my buddy Izo Azlion if your interested, idealy we'd like more experienced pilots, but we'll decide on who's hot and who;s not on an individual basis. :D
On a side note, while I was offline this morning my Izo made a short video, which can be found here :
