I know how much everyone hated my last macro miner story, so I thought I would share my most recent one with you all. Feel free to flame away if you so desire.

I ran into a familiar macro crew the other night and proceded to steal their ore. Once I warp to their belt, I MWD to their can. Hmm, this is odd. There is a corp ticker listed. They wouldn't be crazy enough to start another corp would they? Yes they would. They were in another corp, but a few anti-macro corps beat them so bad, they disbanded the corp. Once I saw they were in a new one, I immediately declared war.

Now before I go any further, I will give a brief explanation of why I think they are macroers/isk pharmers. I prefer the term macroer, so I will use it as a blanket term.

Rest of story moved to extended body.

These guys operate in a very large crew as a whole, but generally work within the same group for the most part. Sometimes they forget to rename their ships so you will see people like Jick1 flying Jack1's Covetor. There is another macro crew made up of characters named Jack1, Jack2, etc. Here are a few signs I see that make me think they are macroers. 1.Bunches of characters are created within minutes of each other. 2.They have odd names like Jick1, Jick2, Jick3 and ASFD. 3.They will continuously keep putting ore into their can even after you have stole all but 1 piece of their ore. 4.They generally mine in seperate belts. 5.They rarely are in a corp. 6.You will never see them flying any other ship than a hauler or mining barge. Occasionally a freighter or BS might be spotted. 7.If you add them to your addressbook like I have you will see them log off en masse. How on Earth can someone log on 7 accounts at exactly the same time? All these things smell of macroers. Whether you agree or not, it doesn't matter. I just thought I would give a brief reasoning so we can avoid people jumping to conclusions about race and how many numbers people have in their name. See the screenshot here. Notice the 4 of them are all made within minutes of each other. Notice the bottom 3? Those guys were banned I believe and their accounts reset. Notice they all have 0.0 sec status? Also notice they didn't even put a description for their corp? I like the default one they use. :) Anyways, back to the story. So I see they have made up a new corp and I immediately dock once I steal all their ore so I can initiate a war declaration. I intiate a vote, and wait the 24 hours. I come home from work, and apply the sanctionable action. Now I just have to wait another 24 hours until I can hunt. I get home from work and anxiously log on to my account. It seems they are online. Great! I don't want to alarm them to my prescence. So I log to my other account and use a locator agent. A few minutes later and he divulges that the macroers are a mere 3 jumps from where I had logged out. Yay for me! So I fly my other account into the system to do a bit of recon. Sure enough I find Jick7, Jick1 and Jick8. 2 in barges and one in a hauler. In warps Nexa in her Vexor. Talk about luck! Just as I warp into the belt and proceed to MWD to their covetor, their hauler in an Itty 5 warps in too! He's within warp scram range too! Pop goes the Covetor and I rush to scram their hauler. I get him scrammed and start to lock the miner's pod. As my drones eat up the hauler, my guns tear at his pod. He warps away with structure! So close! I do however manage to snag the hauler's pod and make it go squish. So I start to gather my ill gotten gains when all of a sudden, the miner's pod warps back in. WTF!?! Of course I manage to lock him and make him go squish as well. I return to gathering the loot. Not too shabby I think to myself. Then I read the killmail on the hauler and nearly cried. Look what blew up. $100,000,000 worth of mods. /cry I consoled myself with the fact I added two new shiny corpses to my growing collection. A few minutes later ASFD logs in. He's their hauler and master-at-arms. He flies a Raven, which I've nearly killed before but this time he has 2 heavy NOS fitted and I think even my cap booster Vexor setup would struggle to stay alive against his cruise missles and torpedos. So I leave since there's not a whole lot I can do at this point.......except go buy my first battleship! Seeing as their loot paid for half of it, and how badly I want to kill ASFD, I decided to buy me a Dominix. I am training up BS a few more levels and will be ready for BS vs. BS carnage in 2 days which will still leave me 4 days of war time on the first weeks tab. UPDATE-- I got BS trained up enough to take her out. So as usual they stayed in the same system as the night before. I sent in my recon alt to scout for them. I find them quickly and warp to their belt. Meanwhile Nexa is waiting patiently on the other side of one of the stargates into this system. I get it lined up so Nexa can warp right on top of the hauler. It was an odd scene. It looked like they were goofing around with another macro group. ASFD was in a Kestrel and Goodh was in his hauler. There were 2 other mining barges in the belt as well. I lock onto the hauler. Man I am not used to the long lock times on a BS. I manage to lock him and scram him. I send off my juicy heavy drones to gobble him up into scrap metal. ASFD decides to warp out before I could get to him. Pop goes the hauler though. I tried in vain to lock and scram the pod. Missed him by less than 2 seconds. Figures. I cruise over to the loot can from the hauler. Much to my dismay, I see only expanded cargo holds. Still, I scored a kill, so I am happy. I know they work out of Station 8 so I head there and sit out front anticipating the battle between ASFD in his Raven and me in my shiny new Dominix. It wasn't to be. For all his trash talking the night before when he had a distinct advantage with him in a Raven and me in my lowly Vexor, it seems that he wasn't near as bold now that we were on more even ground. Though they still hold a distinct advantage being that they are 6 members strong whereas I am only 1. I expect them to haul ass out of that system and try a different one. Good thing I have plenty of locator agents to help me out. :) Update part 2!- So I wake up this morning and I must admit, I am itching to score another kill. So I ask my friendly neighborhood locator agent where I can find my macroing friends. He gives me the info for a mere $22,000 ISK again. I proceed to head out to their mining op 6 jumps away. I debate if I should just log out at the gate and pursue them when I get home and have more time since I had to get my ass to work, or should I just risk it. I didn't have an alt close enough to do some recon so I had to pray I would find them quick enough and hope they didn't dock right away. As luck would have it they were in the first belt next to the gate barely 1AU away! I keep my fingers crossed as I warp into the belt. Not only was I lucky enough to find them fast, I also warped right on top of the mining barge, AND their hauler was nice enough to warp in as I was killing the miner! I kill the miner right quick, but his pod eludes me unfortunately. So I focus on the hauler. Oddly enough he had more than enough time to warp out, but I guess when you're managing 10 accounts at once, you're not always quick on the draw. I only had a 7.5k scram on because I know he ASFD fits his Raven with a single WCS from my past encounters with him. The hauler was 20km out from me at first. Not only was I able to kill him without scrambling him, I also killed his pod as well. I was also greeted to more loots and a fresh corpse for the ol' collection. I was again disappointed that his other 3 Local Cargo Expanders and a Partial Hull Expander went poof instead of into my can. Update part 3! OMGWTF!- I get home from work anxious again to wreak carnage upon the macro corp. I am not surprised to find them in the same system I killed them in earlier this morning. This time I fly my recon alt there and scope them out. As soon as I have all the intel, I log Nexa in. They see this and immediately insta to the lone station. I try in vein to kill them but they docked too fast. As I camped the front of the station they would peek out in a shuttle, no doubt disappointed that I have no life and could just sit and wait as long as it took. While I waited I saw some folks from CRAMM- Corporation Against Macro Miners. Nice bunch of guys. I convoed their CEO and swapped a bit of intel on the local crews in operation. As we were sitting there kibitzing about macroers, we noticed they all undock from the station. To my utter disappointment, they all disbanded from the corp! Bollocks!

Speed Devil·

very nice story, much better than ur previous one with alot more proof too :)

Joe Monso·

Nice one, this was alot better than the previous, and the screen shots added alot to the explanations. My own corp hates Macro Miners and a few of us go out somes days to just screw with them, such a blast.
