Don't tell me why i don't like mondays

Hi all,

for several months now i am reading in your piracy forum. I don't like writing so much but i felt like telling a little story myself, to pay back abit of the enjoyment i got out of your posts.

so it was sunday, my girlfriend went out swimming with some friends, leaving me and my pc alone at home. In short words: eve-time!!

downtime over, let's rock...hmm network problems, server restart is delayed...good beginning.

40 minutes later i find myself cruising through placid in my vagabond, hoping to catch something in the belts. Moving from Ostingle to Vestouve, i didn't encounter any possible target...as usual. So i just gave it a try to check out a nearby 0.1 dead end system.
5 people in local, after 30 seconds i found a vexor in a belt. landing 30k away of him he was scrambelt soon and it took no time to have him into half hull. Lets ransom that guy ....when i opened convo , he warped ..wtf ..stabs ..i should have killed him!

..Anyway warping to another scan spot since local had 7 ppl in now.
No one was in the belts, so i waited until my timer went. when i wanted to leave the system, i saw that the exit was now camped by a raven, cyclone, caracal, exequorer and 2 vexors, including the guy i tried to ransom 16 minutes ago.

I warped in at 100k to have a closer look. Immidiatly i got targeted by the raven ..2y old char..which was shooting cruise missiles ...6x 150 dmg, the raven was hurting me!
The exequorer was mwding towards me and i thought that maybe they would split up abit. Anyway i had to warp out first to recharge shields.

After warping in again, i found the exequorer 35 k of me while the rest was 60k away. Fast he was in weapon range and i started to scramble and fire at him. Meanwhile the Raven had a lock on me and was releasings its wrath cruise missiles again. The exequorer was going down really quick but wtf..the raven did some serious damage to me ..shields were almost gone and after that i knew i was going to die quickly. What went wrong ? Well ...i forgot that the cruiser pilot actually didn't aggro first, so they also had the sentries on their side.

When i was alligned to get out, i saw the exequorer warping off!! again stabs ..and again the ship was in half hull.
It was time to get out , since my shieldtank was broken. Half of my armor was gone when i arrived at my safespot.
While waiting again for the aggro timer, i tried to figure out how to leave the system. Since it is an dead end i had no instas and although 5 of the 6 people were new pilots i didnt really want to risk to mwd to the gate.

Meanwhile one of them spoke to me:

1 guy managed to get popped by sentries, don't ask me how, but there was now a vexor less at the gate.

After my timer went, i docked at the 2 stations to repair my armor damage. Hmmm no repair bay and the only module i could buy in that system was a cap relay ..not really something usefull.

So i warped to the gate at a 100 again to make myself an insta. While trying to get in line with the gate and another object, the 6-1 men gang warped to an object behind me to obviously land right on top of me.
I mwd'ed away from the gate to be able to warp to it. Meanwhile the gang was landing ..how surprinsing 100k of the gate. Only the caracal and the cyclone warped at 15k but it was all to late, i jumped out.

On my way back to ostingle i saw an outlaw in alperaute, 1 jump away from ostingle. when i landed at the gate, he was sitting in a mega ,160k away , sniping. He locked me and was shooting, not dealing serious damage. I knew he is going to warp but i approached him anyway. beeing 70k away, he entered warp and convoed me:

hmmm see ya around ...why not !! The guy was 4 month old i knew there wasnt very good gear on the mega, but why not trying to ransom him if i would be able to get him.

I logged on my cov ops alt and went to ostingle to refit my tempest. Taking out the web and ecm, putting additional points on. the ship was set up, now i just need to find the guy in the system.

It turned out to be hard to track him down. he was constantly warping betwen 4 spots. 2 approach points 1500km of the ostingle and Ansou gate and 2 sniping points 160k of the gate.
The guy was 4 months old and happy sniping or fooling young players.
i spotted him once in a belt where he was shooting rats ,telling another pilot that he can pick up the loot. Ofcourse the guy was podded soon. Here a part of the local chat:

Obviously that guy was an arse , which made me even more ambitious to get him.

After 90 minutes i had bookmarks of all 4 spots of him and luckily a corp m8 of him in a frigate entered the system . They were at the ostingle approachpoint messing arroung abit, trying to fight ..i dont know ..it ended with the fact that the frigate pilot lost his ship.

Meanwhile i placed my cov ops 15k away of him that he is in one line with the ostingle gate. I jumped throught with curnal and warped to him. I landed right on top of him, but i could only see that with my covert ops alt since my client froze !!!! wtf 90 minutes and then this . He warped away and i needed a break, so i docked and watched eve -tv .

Logging on again, i saw the guy was docked, but i am patient.

It didnt take long and he was out sniping again. This time it was going to happen.
He was at the Ansou sniping point and gave me enough time to place my alt and this time my client didnt freeze...i had 4 points on him, i was sure i will get him. The shields went down fast, armor wasn't really an issue aswell, since usually there is no tank if you snipe.
But what is that ...a pod appeared...the guy ejected!!! I didnt convo him yet (the plan was to ransom him for 30 mil since he was just 4 months old).
The pod didn't warp so i locked him (which needs ages without a sb) and remove him from the system to be alone with the mega. After podding him a 8 mil bounty was payed. He didnt leave the system, so he obvoiusly had his clone here.

He convoed me, offering me 120 mil, but he wanted first his ship back.

But what to do now...asking in alliance, soon meanca ace was going to board the ship for me. Meanwhile the guy returned trying to get into his ship, which resulted in an additional podding. Felysta was also going to help me guarding that precious piece of metal and podded the guy once more in the process. I usually dont talk much in local, but here the actual log of local chat:

YES too late because in that moment menace borded his new megathron, telling me 20 seconds later the fitting: 7X 425mm proto rails, worth around 90 mil, the rest was the expected named t1 fitting.

When manace jumped into his new ship the guy arrived a 4th time in his pod. which resulted in another killing by menace. Podded with his own ship... priceless!!!


So to sum it up, a megathron with 7x 425 proto rails... it was a good day!!!

Abit later on, Felysta and me got 2 more ravens ratting in ostingle. They were new players but always good for a ransom. Too bad that the first one logged during the fight and the second didn't want to pay anything. One Arbalest cruise launcher got destroyed, leaving not very expensinve mods for us. (and a 1600mm steel plate ...o_O)

It was 2 am now and i had to log since i had to get up early in the morning ....after such a sunday....don't tell me why i dont like mondays....
