The Great War

It's true, I have 4 active war declarations in effect against me at the moment. I don't mind. 2 of them were initated by me, and the other 2 came at me unannounced. I don't mind it at all. In fact, it has provided me with quite a challenge to keep up my money making operations as well as deal with all my agressors. I found 2 corps along my travels that I thought would be fun to war dec. So I started with those. However these guys now never leave the station whenever I am on, whereas before I would constantly see them running around the systems. Oh well. Then I get war dec'd by a corp called Black Daze, call sign LAZE. A 5 man strong corp, all with pilots 2-3 years old, well equipped and schooled in the ways of PVP it seems, judging by their ships and setups. Now this could be trouble for me. A few days ago they were hot on my tail, 2 in EW Scorpions and one in a Astarte or Eos, I wasn't sure which. I warped through their gate camp and then warped to a safe spot on the other side. They continued to chase me but I managed to stay a system or two ahead of them and ganked all the miners as I went along. So not only did I make money, I also managed to have this corp waste some time on me. Good stuff in my book. Then the next day a new corp war dec'd me, bringing the total to 4. This was a corp I had war dec'd some weeks ago called Gladius Imperium. After I war dec'd them, their CEO disappeared to some out of the way system 20 jumps away, and I only found one other member of their corp. He still hung around my area, so I went after him. If I recall correctly, I killed his Omen 3 or 4 times along with equal amounts of podding. I offered them a surrender if they would pay me 20 million. Their CEO never answered. So I had a hard time understanding why they now chose to war dec me. They still had the same small amount of members, so it's not like they were brimming with pilots. Go figure. I log in to see that the Omen pilot I had podded so much was in the system with me. I also noticed his CEO was logged in and 2 jumps away. I figure I am in for some fun. I find him docked at a station. He might be afk, he might not. I decide to wait and see what happens. Then I see his CEO jump into the system. I decide to wait and maybe go 2 vs 1. As soon as his CEO warps to the station in an Omen, I head towards him. Just as I do, the pilot Arnottski undocks in his Prophecy. As he does I notice 2 other of their corp have entered the system, so I dock before I fire a shot. Then the smacktalk starts. I don't understand why people have to call names and such. It's all the usual crap, "you are a asshole, you are a fag, fuck your mother, etc". Then Arnottski says something that really made me laugh. He said if I paid them 50 million they would let me go and stop the war. There must have been some weed in that new Prophecy he bought as he must be high to think I would pay a dime to them. I decline of course and wait a few more minutes. After a bit I have 5 people, their entire corp, waiting outside somewhere in the system for me. I talk in local to distract them just before undocking and warp to a safe spot before they could even lock me. From the safe spot I warp to a gate and go to get a better ship. So far I know I am up against 2 Omens, 1 Maller and a Prophecy. I must've missed the last corp member as he wasn't outside the station when I warped away. I head to a station to get refitted for multiple targets, when I see their last member warp to the same station in a Megathron. Hmm, now this is going to be fun. Just as I am about to refit, undock and kick his ass, the Black Daze guys show up along with the rest of Gladium Imperius. So I have 7 guys camping me at the station/system. Not a whole lot I can do at this point. So I go take a shower and eat some breakfast. Of course, the Gladius guys continue with their drivel of smacktalk. Arnottski informs me that he wants to collect the bounty on my head. Hmm, I think, when I logged in there was no bounty on my character screen. I ask a friend to check my info and sure enough, 7 million ISK has been placed on my head. Awesome! It means I am doing my job, and doing it well. He also informs me that he is friends with Lord Flashheart who runs Trade and Research Team, call sign TAART, who had war dec'd me the week before. He said a bunch of stuff which I don't beleive to be true as their corp was always nice to me in chat, they never smacktalked even when I blew up an Apoc of theirs. So for you TAART folks, be aware Arnottski is using your name to further his trashtalk. Not cool in my book. Anyways....I come back clean and with a full belly to see everyone has left the system. So I undock in my Thorax and proceed to harass the good folks out amongst the belts. Then Arnottski logs in. I figure he probably logged out in the station I was docked at. I head over and camp the station. A few moments later and he undocks and wants to fight. The battle begins. He laucnhes drones and some NOS at me. I do my thing and start whooping his ass. He barely managed to hit my armor before his ship went pop. He warped his pod out so damn fast I couldn't believe it. As I am going to loot his can, their CEO, Gaya Blaze shows up in his Omen, and I promptly kick his ass as well. He warped out his pod but I followed him almost managing to snag his pod several times, but he eventually got to a station and logged immediately. They had one other corp mate on but he was too busy to make it to the show it seemed. Arnottski decided to hide in a station, not out of fear, but because he lacked a ship. At this point I had fit some boosters to insta lock his shuttle and/or pod, but he wouldn't leave. Funny how he had no smacktalk left in him now that the tables were turned and he was the one in the station surrounded by a war target. I had to go away for the weekend so I am hoping to make up for lost time this week. While I was out last night I found 3 new corps to war dec and have started a vote on all 3 to have them ready to go in case any of the current ones end. =) Update #1- Gah today I woke up with an abcessed tooth. OUCH! I call in sick to work and hit the dentist office and return home to recouperate. I log in and see that the Gladius Imperium guys are on. So I do a bit of recon. I see that Porchy has upgraded his Omen to an Apoc and Shemham is still flexing in his Megathron. Another friend informs me that Porchy is on the other side of the gate I am at. I wait for him to zone over. He does and immediately warped to another SG. It looked like he didn't even notice me. I figured Shemham should be approaching the other side of the gate to follow his friend. Sure enough, here comes Shemham to the gate. He locks me and fires. I warp back over and see Porchy so I engage. His shields drop fast but it looks like he's got a buttload of armor plating on board. As I pound away on his armor, Shemham finally warps over mid-fight. At this point I got Porchy to under half armor and he is dying fast. So I jam and NOS Shemham to keep him off my back. Unfortunately I had a 7.5k scrambler fitted for some reason and he warped away before I could finish him off. So I start watching the gates since he isn't docked anywhere. So I just warp from gate to gate, doing a 360 scan at each stop. WTF, I can't find him on scanner anywheres. Now I am getting annoyed. He convos me and talks a little trash. Good trash talk though, no name calling and whiny stuff. Where the hell do these new players get so much money so quick? So the final count so far is 4 active war declarations against me. 1 man versus 4 corps. So far the Gladius Imperium folks have taken the brunt of the losses. Well, actually, they've taken all of the losses so far. I have splashed 1 Apoc, 1 Mega, 1 Omen, 1 Prophecy, and collected 2 corpses without suffering any losses. I have also picked up almost 50 million worth of loot from them as well. I must say Porchy and Shemham both were good sports about losing today and seem like nice folks. It's too bad they couldn't pass some of their sportsmanship down to Arnottski.
