Rich Macro Miners=Fun For Me and a 1.5 Billion ISK loss for them

I was out and about doing my usual. Ganking everyone's cans and having some fun. Then I notice some new macro faces in a macro corp I thought was dead.

I knew Kissboy10 already but had never run into Pretty Flower or Xiaodi30. They were all in the Lovemarry corp. Sweet! Another macro corp I can war dec. The only problem is this corp is well known to the anti-macro community so they get war dec'd and beat into oblivion regularly. So they will all disband and use a placeholder to act as CEO that way they can rejoin and not have to pay start up costs for a new corp and they always have the option of immediately joining a corp when needed.

I also know that Swhsdfh050 is their armed escort. He lies in the shadows usually while the miners do their thing. In the past when I ran into him, only the fighter characters were in the corp and the miners were in NPC corps. Once I would gank the miners a few times he would come out in a shuttle or newb ship and drop a can for the miners to empty ore into, this way if I stole it I would be flagged to him and the Lovemarry corp.

This time I was not expecting to see the miners actually in the corp as well. So I start the war dec vote, and get down to ganking some ore.

Meanwhile I had just finished training some corp management skills to enable others to join my corp as I get a lot of requests for newer guys to join my corp after they read my stories here. So I let a guy join this weekend. He was also flying around and spots Pretty Flower in a Wolf. It seems the macroers are branching out to some nicer ships. I figure she is gonna tackle for Swhsd to come in with his BS and gank the people who gank their ore. So I have my new corpmate check the stations for Swhsd. Sure enough, he find him outside a station, aligned and coasting towards the belts for a quick warp. He's in a Raven Navy Issue. Hmmm....this could be fun. So I decide to test my theory in my Thorax. I warp to a belt and gank some ore from Kissboy. Just as I warp out, my hauler warps in and starts tractor beaming the can. A second later the Wolf flown by Pretty Flower warps in and tries to do a quick swap of cans, but the pilot isn't a pro at stealing ore from a moving can so they miss and I scoop it up. The Wolf heads back to the miner and sits by as I fly my hauler towards their new can as if I am going to gank it. This is just a distraction as I am going to warp in to another belt and gank another of their miners, Xaiodi39. I fly in and land 5k away from him and his can. I swap the ore and proceed to warp out, but the Wolf warps in and locks me and scrams me. I align out, launch my drones, and hit my jammer. 1 cycle passes and no jam, 2nd cycle down and no jam, now Swhsd warps in with his Navy Raven. Out come the torps and cruise missles. I keep MWDing the opposite direction of his Raven and the Wolf. Shields are gone, armor is almost nil, I have 2 options at this point. Pop the Wolf as I had it to almost structure, and die myself. Or try to warp out, and switch to a more appropriate ship and kill the Raven. 50% structure! This isn't good. BAM! The jammer lands, I warp out with 10% structure left on my Thorax! Close call indeed. I head in to dock and get my Dominix. I toss on 3 racial jammers. Then a little birdie tells me he has 3 WCS fitted. He's looking for a gank and run it seems. So I swap a jammer for another 2 pt scrammer. I head out to the station he's sitting in front of. He challenges me to a 1 vs 1. I don't mind, I go for it. He fires 2 minutes later as the Wolf pilot undocks and starts trying to jam and scram me. So much for a 1 vs 1. I knew something was up and never fired a shot, so I was able to dock before he could do any serious damage. They fell right into my trap though. Now since he took so long to fire, my flag to his corp is going to run out 3 minutes before his flag for attacking me runs out. So now it will be a guaranteed 1 vs 2 and I won't have to worry about others jumping in. I undock after my timer runs out to his corp. Leaving both the Wolf and Navy Raven flagged to me. The Raven has now warped in and out, only this time he's 80km from the station. Luckily I knew he was doing this and did the same. Hehe. Just as I land next to him his timer runs out! God damnit! I am not used to the bulky BS and forgot it takes forever to make a u-turn and warp out. Grrr! Meanwhile in local he is talking smack! Again challenging me to a 1 vs 1. Obviously he can not be trusted and I suspect he has reinforcements on the way. He starts dropping cans in front of the station labeled "1 vs 1 coward!" and "FUCK YOUR MOTHER!". He's a class act all the way. So I taunt him, calling him a coward, saying how I have always had to loot his cans for him to fight and that he always claims 1 vs 1 but he always has people jump in. As I keep him occupied I continue ganking his ore on my other accounts. Meanwhile I drop a can as well labeled, "RI NI MA" which is what they always yell at me, which I think means "fuck your mother" in Chinese. Now here's where the fun really starts. The guy I had pay me 20mil to surrender the war dec on him was in front of this station as well. (see my last story about this guy Ga'len) He doesn't know much about macroers and tries to talk to them and is mad that they are labeling the cans with obscenities. Then in local Swhsd says, "I loot your can". Sure enough, he did indeed. My new corpie gets his Caracal ready and I warp to the station to fight Swhsd. As I am warping, Ga'len decides to loot one of Swhsd's cans. Swhsd and the Wolf open fire on poior Ga'len's Raven and blow him to bits. Bad for him, good for me because now Swhsd can't dock because of his recent acts of aggression, which means he's a dead man. I come out of warp inches from his Navy Raven. I lock on, slam down 4 points of scramming goodness on him with a healthy dose of ECM and a side of drones. He manages to get a few volley's in on my and takes out my shields....almost. In warps my corpie with his Caracal to start raining heavy missles down upon him. Pretty Flower and her Wolf proceed to dock and hide since there is nothing they can do to help. Booyah! He's jammed perfectly. I landed about 6 jams in a row with perfect timing. He knows he is a goner and logs out, forgetting to recall his t2 drones that were pestering my corpie's Caracal. Since he had aggroed and since he was scrammed to heck, his ship would sit there for 15 minutes or until I stopped scrambling him or until he popped. With no one at the helm of his grand ship, it drops, and drops fast. Plus Ga'len came back in a Caracal to get some revenge on Swhsd it looks like. There was a lot more but I sold it. I had to put sell orders in for the rest of the stuff since people were low balling those items. That Gist C-Type drop was amazing. Talk about luck. Dropping a ship worth over a billion ISK and then snagging a boatload of loot. He had a ton of loot in his cargo, all nice items too. This sent shockwaves through him and his friends. They all quit their corp! I found Swhsd's employment history to be quite interesting. Take a peek. Look at how much he joins Lovemarry. I was very surprised that he was in Sector 7. It's a merc corp and invite only. I emailed the CEO informing them that they are harboring a well known macroer and could possibly get war dec'd by some of the bigger anti-macro corps. I never recieved a response but I assume since he wasn't in the corp a few days after I sent the mail, they booted him. I am noticing that a lot of the macroers are getting into player corps. Look at this guy, Zhaowen. You might recognize him from my other stories. I emailed the CEO of this corp. I suspect they could possibly be a front for macroers. Here is why. The CEO didn't show online, but I dropped him an email, explaining about Zhaowen and posting links to my stories and pics of him in action as well as some pics of him guarding macros while in their corp. Meaning they always ask if you're Chinese or where you are from, I say why does it matter, they ask to be friend, I say drop dead, they start with weird chatter. Why would this guy convo me? I never messaged anyone but their CEO, and I've never seen this guy and he wasn't in my system. Hmmmm....so this supposed player corp has at least 2 oddballs, one of which is a confirmed macro escort and no response to my email after a week and they are both still in corp. Then I decide to email the head of their alliance. Shortly thereafter Zhaowen is out of the corp but Abamdc is still in it. Something funny going on there.

Although I like your stories, some may think you go above and beyond harassing certain players or corps. You should dwitch targets every now and then, beore you make players quit. And that isn't good for anyone.

Furthermore, taking into acount the destroyed items compared to the loot you recovered. He only has 3 missile launchers?

As far as targeting the same players, these aren't players, these are pharmers. They mine all day, all night, practically non-stop. They are all part of the same crew. I am not going to fly 40 jumps to get away from them. If they had any shred of intelligence, they would switch to a new system to mine in, instead of the same system where the same bunch of people steal from them and kill them.

That's why they aren't real players. Real players would get annoyed and leave. These guys are there every single day at some point.

He had 3 missle launchers destroyed but 4 survived as indicated in the pic of my "orders" tab.

Love reading your stories, seems like something indeed strange is going on in that alliance, worth further checking out maybe? I agreee that these are not players of the game just player driven NPC's.

gratz on the kill too bad you could not steal the CNR after he logged off, CCP should make that a feature!

Get the wolf too next time ;)

I remember reading your first story, didn't like it because it lacked proof of macroing, but you're certainly catching up on most of that. Now i love your stories, always nice to see the pharmer-community taking a hit from REAL players.

Actually the loss is bigger than just 1.5 bil.
Just the Navy Raven is 1.5-1.6 bil. :)

Must admit I have never heard of this alliance.

Pity the pharmers seem to be moving into eve in numbers. I know on some WoW servers they can be a bit of a problem.

And fitting a CNR with WCS.. Sniff poor thing....

(And they are normally around 1.05 bil on escrow last I checked so freaky's figures seem about right.) :)

Freaky, I love your style! Great stuff.

I too read your first article and still can't understand why there was such a negative reaction to it - I've been harrasing macro miners long enough to know the signs to look for, and to me what you wrote then was just fitting the pieces of the puzzle together.

Macro morons seem to be getting a bit smarter now, stationing haulers 15km's away from the miners and using tractor beams to grab cans at the first sign of trouble. But at least this has forced them to change their behaviour. They seem to be keeping the miners together in the same belt more often now, rather than spread out over different belts.

Which suits me fine - my last 8 x Large Smart Bomb suicide run in a Raven netted me 3 x Local Hull Conversions (I killed a Covetor and the Itty V which was hauling), which strangely enough paid for more than enough mins to build a new Raven :-)
