Lonetrek Woes

I have just finished up operating against macro miners in the Lonetrek region hoping to find ones that fight back like Freaky finds down south. Sadly they seem to have a deep fear of PvP that keeps them from engaging. So new tactics must be devised. First, we send in a member from my corp to swap minerals from one can to another while I sit in my rusty BS closeby hoping the macroers will bite. Often times they don't but this time we were lucky.

The Macroers had enough of us for the night and tried to send their drones after my one intrepid pilot. He ran wisely right back to me where we waited in the deep black of space, our scanners noiselessly probing out the darkness ahead of us. Cavalry04 is thier "security" expert, flying in Megathrons and a few thoraxes, some we have sent to an easy grave others have run like crazy. He's already in warp by the time my mate returns next to my Big space-trashcan. He comes in the Megathron this time, and I hope he takes from the can. Surprisingly the can dissapears and a new one appears, I am in warp before it really even registers. as I come out of warp I am all over the mega, at a mere 6km, -2 scrammer fouling his warp as my 4 x large nos unleash hell on his capacitor, my five heavy ECM drones making his targetting computers cry as my 650mm gallium duals rip into his shields and then armor. He's trapped and he knows it, desperately trying to turn to warp out. I press my hotkey to view him to make sure he can't warp out and then I know it's trouble. I can't look at him, he must be running stabs, lots and lots of stabs. now it's my turn to cry as I try to bump him out of position again and again, one fateful bump at about half hull aligning him and poof he's gone.

My mate and I sigh in frustration at the dissapearing icon, but the hunt goes on. Even though Cavalry04 has never come out to engage any member of my corp after that, is it possible macroers learn? I guess so, but not as fast as me, next time more scramblers =)
