A good way to lose a bit of security status.

This is just a story about a good laugh me and some corp mates had a while back. No epic battles or war stories.


I log in one night and find local filled with smack about some of my corpmates. Some guy stole ore from us and we killed him, twice. Guess he was a little upset. I head out to look for some of the macros I see in system, instead, I find this smack talker in a shuttle along with 2 friends, both in caracals. I am in my wolf. They lock me and the shuttle rams me. I drop a can figuring wth. The caracal drops a can also. Now I know I can take one caracal with my Wolf but 2 might be pushin it. I wait and the smack talker convos me:

So he "flips" my can and I blow up his shuttle. Smack talk in local continues. I decide at this point to see if I can take 2 caracals. So I pop the can one of the caracals dropped and wait for him to engage. Not surprisingly his friend warps off then he does a short time later. The smack talker is still in pod still talkin. I head out and get a rifter with 3 200mm acs for just this sort of "special" person. By the time I warp back to his pod he isnt talkin so much in local. I lock and pop his pod quick like, His friend in the Caracal was there and couldnt lock me down fast enough. I warp out and take the concord hit at my Safe spot. My corpmate who wanted to watch scooped the corpse for me and rescued any of my mods concord didnt destroy at my SS. Local was pleasantly quiet after that so I waited out my global timer in station. Soon after the smacker realized he had been podded. Local flamed up even more about me podding him while he was afk. Then he starts going on about killing me in his newb ship of death and so on. I am still having fun and decide to kill his ship again. I grab a Slasher and warp to him I wasn't sure how fast his mates would be getting to him as they were still in system. So he drops a can I loot, he shoots me, and I kill him. His friends warp in and pop my frig. I am laughing all the way back to station as this guy proudly announces to local what "real" pirates they were and displays my kill mail. With him laying the final blow in his pod. I had a laugh and a pretty good time. Just wished I had brought my Wolf back instead of the slasher for those 2 caracals.

Later on I convo one of the Caracal pilots. He tells me thier smack talking corp mate was real drunk and they were encouraging them to try and provoke a fight. I told him if they want a fight just convo me and I'll be more than happy to oblige. All in all not a very productive night, but I logged off with a smile on my face.
