You ever run into someone in Eve who just annoys the fuck out of you? They smack talk, whine, bitch and moan about every little thing? You want to pod them over and over, but because it's high sec and because your corp isn't likely to war dec a unknown corp over minor insults you may never get a chance to hear the ripe squishy sound of a pod going SPLAT!
Such isn't the case for me. Being the CEO of a corp allows me to act in situations like that. It can usually be quite fun and also, quite profitable.
So one night I was in Tash screwing around. I bump into a guy named Yannick Junior. I enter the belt he's in and he starts screaming about pirates and other stuff. So I go and take his can as he's mining in his Vexor. He had like 3k M3 of ore in it. Maybe worth 25,000 ISK worth. This is how he responds.....
Even though we won't be getting any ISK for a surrender fee from them, I was still glad to add his corpse to my Giant Secure Coffin that rests in my hangar.
Back to Carbon corp.....
I guess my emails to them had quite an effect. Instead of laughing at me they were suddenly willing to negotiate a surrender. I reiterated my offer of 50 million but they claimed they had no money. Hmmm....for some reason I didn't believe them. Of course, they required very little convincing at this point to pay up.

We already have a few targets in mind for the next couple of war decs. I guess my corpmates killed a bunch of guys from this other corp while we were in a system hunting the Carbon members. This corp actually emailed my corpmate and informed him that if he didn't pay for the ships and mods he destroyed, they would war dec us and be made an example of. Just like in Eve as with so many other games, there is always someone better than you. As good as I may or may not be, there are a thousand people who could easily kill me and whatnot. So I don't go around saying I am the king of everything. I simply post entertaining stories. They are not much different than a lot of the other stories posted here. Plenty of them are "this is me, this is who I killed, look at their feeble smacktalk, look at the loot I scored, and look at the fun I am having playing this game" type stories.
So to say it's all about epeen, I think you are grossly mistaken.

I may annoy people in game, but that comes with the teritory of playing a pirate. People get annoyed with my actions.
However, you will never see me whining in local, smack talking, being downright rude and abusive (i.e. telling people to fuck off and suck my dick), when I am involved in a situation.
I am not sure where you come up with the statement, "shoot something that actually shoots back". Are you saying I only shoot haulers? Are you saying I only fight smaller ships? Are you saying I only fight when the other people have no chance?
If so, then I suggest you read the rest of my stories. You will see a few encounters I've been in where the odds certainly weren't in my favor, or where I took on multiple targets and where I am heavily outnumbered. I would love to see how well you play when you declare war on 3 corps with a total of over 40 people, and also have 2 war decs delcared on you by a pirate merc corp and a corp with mostly 2 and 3 year old players with about 30 people total. 1 person vs 70 potential people at once. All this with no whining, no surrendering, no quitting my corp, no losses and lots of fun.
So at this point I have to shoot your advice right back at you and also to the guy who posted reply #3. If you give that kind of advice surely you must live by those rules and should have no problem war dec'ing my corp and annihilating the lot of us. After all we are a 4 man corp, we all play different time zones so it's very hard to muster a solid group, and all characters are under 6 months old. Surely compared to your shooting and ball growing you can handle us, can't you?
He's like every other guy I kill. They either have excuses or they rationalize it to fit their skewed views on the game.
They say high sec piracy is weak. Well, if you're so brave, fly in on a corp with a mining op and steal their ore. When you are in a crowded system like Tash with over 100 people, and you steal from a corp with 75 members, I wouldn't call that being a wimp. I don't consider it the most badass move in the game either, but to open yourself up to a large corp for 15 minutes of open fire, and to also set the stage for them to war dec you if you piss them off enough, is by no means a pussy style of play.
I've been in 0.0 space. It's fun at times, but it has always ended in a numbers game. From gate camps to roaming gank squads. Those are only fun when you're not on the recieving end.
Also, I don't have a lot of skills so for me to take to 0.0 by myself isn't the wisest move. Ballsy? Sure. Stupid? Possibly. Does it make me any more skilled of a player vs somone who does high sec piracy? No, not in my opinion. It would just mean I have an endless supply of cash and don't mind wasting it.
It's just a personal preference when it comes to styles of play. Some like to mine, some like to do R&D. I think those are boring. To me if that's all you want to do, go out a buy a single player game. I prefer piracy and pvp. However I never make fun of people for chosing to be a miner or mission runner. I still respect the way they prefer to play the game.

I'd also like to say I used to play Elite and the thing that really makes this game different is the fact that the pirates are real people who think and not just NPC rats. keep it up people - even getting ganked can be fun
