Great Day Pirating

The day started as any other day pirating. Log on with my cup of tea in hand and hope in my Ebil vexor. I started off in Vitrauze in essence but fellow corp members were causing hell in Atlulle/Isenan area. Being -7.5 (ive been working down my sec !) the jump across droselory would need to be done in a shuttle. But i had a spare Vex in Isenan so off i went.

2 Friends were in Atlulle spying on a mining op. Hulk, 2 retrievers and a iteron guarded by a ferox. So my adrenalin was already pumping before i was in my ship. Once we pinpointed there position we all went in from different angles. Takle rifter with 4 points, thorax and my T2 drone weilding 5600 armor tanked vexor (slow as hell but makes up for it in EW).

We were in and i called the hulk as primary, but before we could even blink it was gone. So the ferox was talked instead as the op scrambled away (they were obviously smart enough to align before hand as they setup). The ferox was a quick fight and was quickly made work of, but there was a lot of screaming in local. More then normal...

As the ferox burst into flame, and loot was divied my 2 wingmen warped before trouble arrived. I on the otherhand was trying to sorta out the dilema in local (had we just killed a friendly?) when a caracal warped ontop of me. I knew for a fact it wasnt friendly but it was to late i was takled. As my drones swarmed it his friend in a ferox warped in. As this happen the caracal warped out (as i had got it to 20% sheild) but not before the ferox had taken over with the scrambling.

I managed to get a cycle down on the ferox when i relised i was doing quite well for my situation, not only had they not broken my armor tank, but i was ripping the ferox apart. As the ferox was down to 40% armor the caracal came back in to join him. Swapping ECM and 4 nos over to the caracal i scrambled the ferox as it tryed to run. But to my luck it was stuck. As it started to flame i switch scram over to the caracal and watched the ferox burst into flame.

The caracal had no chance, it was sitting 500m from me being nossed, scrambled and 2 ECM cycles on it. In mare seconds after the ferox had lit up so did its caracal friend. Had i just done what i thought i had and solo'ed 2 caldari missle boats in a vexor? What the f*ck just happened?

Lucky for my rifter friend they were in attendance as the caracal burst into flame and managed to get the pod :D. Not wanting to stick around to see who else was gonna come play with me i warped to a SS.

Looking at my vex i was sitting at 70% armor and all drones accounted for. Still buzzing i go grab another cup of tea and come back to see my scanner had picked up a lonely hulk out mining.

Whats going on? Was i really THIS lucky??? Yelling at my rifter friend we warped in on it to see it leave, but in the direction of another belt. Not fluffing around we went straight after it. Landing no more then 3km from it in the next belt we had 6 points on it, this mofo wasnt going anywhere. (background info; corpmate had attacked the same hulk the day before and attempted to ransom, but it gapped with 3 points on it, so this thing was stabbed to nam and back)

Getting it down to 20% armor very very quickly i called off my drones and made the appropriate ransoming. After being told where to stick it, followed shortly by "dreadnaughts will eat u for lunch" my 100mil ransom was turned down. Me and my rifter wingman got to watch 1/2 billion dollars worth of fireworks. We left the pod due to some politics in the system and warped off to a SS with loot in tail.

Many other mining ops were upset that same night, no other ships were killed, but 4 cans of jaspet was stolen and 1 can of omber destroyed.
