Old Friends, New Enemies

Grape Juice·
As the obvious and sometimes damning Employment History will show, I used to be a member of Clandestine Vector, a member of Freelancer Alliance. CDV was a home to me for a very long time, and I still look upon its members as friends. However, I grew tired of the beurocracy associated with FLA, so I left. That wasn't the only reason I left... the sheer amount of bordom associated with mining was driving me insane. There were no combat operations to speak of, and the ones that I was able to participate in (I have 3 jobs... a Capsuleer is only 1 of them) were horribly planned, and almost as horribly led. It just seemed like there were either too many chiefs and not enough indians, or the other way around. So I left... and warned my previous corporation of my ambitions of becoming a pirate. Last week, I was informed by an anonymous contact within FLA that there was a contest started, and that it might interest me. I was forwarded a copy of the mail as well as the forum post and found that the 'interest' in the contest was in fact, me... me and my new corporation. Apparently, FLA wasn't reacting too well to MD-K's recent move to Aunenen, and one of its members offered 500 million ISK to the FLA member to get the most kills of pilots with -5.0 and below security status in Aunenen. "Pirates like MD-K", along with a list (which I was happily included in) of some of our pilots and what we flew was also posted. The one with the most -5 kills wins the 500 million. I climbed into my pod just the other day, only to find that FLA had us camped in our new headquarters. After what seemed like forever used by our leaders to plan our 'break out', it was time to make our move. We undocked, and immediately made our way to a nearby planet. If FLA wanted a fight, it was going to be on our terms. I noticed at this time that I recognized a few pilots. I casually 'waved' as I passed, but we all knew what was to follow... We engaged the FLA fleet with 8 battleships and 1 carrier which (as far as I can remember) never launched its fighters. We suffered zero losses, and the FLA fleet was decimated. Killmails speak louder than anything else, so here they are: MAFFI Dog Cancer jacass66 StrannikUA Scorpio63 ThomasXP TiMeZeRo225 Aeryn Calbert One would think that I would feel horrible shooting people I had fought beside not a month ago. However, I don't. I still maintain friends in my former alliance, and we have a mutual no-kill understanding, should we ever happen to cross paths by ourselves. However, they and I both know that if they cross me and I'm expected to shoot them, I won't hesitate, and they won't either. Waking up in a clone sucks, but it's not as bad as burning bridges. MD-K did have a few more then 8 bses, it was closer to 13-14. Plus the carrier did launch it's fighters.

Nonetheless, still one hell of a fight.

Ah ok... I was going off memory, as I had the urge to write an article at my lady's place and didn't really look at the killmails too hard.

11 Battleships, and the Carrier did engage 1 ship (that was killed) with its fighters.

It was one helluva fight though. :)

What can someone say about a traitor... not much.

Grape Juice·

How do you see this as treason?
