Bringing the Carebear back!

freaky·

Greetings again everyone! It's time for another silly story about me and my corp's antics over the last few weeks. I was going to tell the story about the corp Ceasari Industries who we dec'd and they ran, then when they realized they stood nio chance, they decided not to pay the small ransom demand and instead bought a merc contract for us as a gift. As I said, I was going to tell that story, but it's still not over. :)

I was busy with other chars in 0.0 stuff so I asked my corpmates to pick a few corps for us to war dec. One was called The Unrefined and the other was Jax Corp. Now keep in mind I had war dec'd Jax way back when I was still int his corp solo. I had popped a few ships of theirs but when I noticed the players were total n00bs I ended the war and sent the guys I killed some cash.

However Jumpingjax, their CEO felt the need to make rude remarks to me and my corp whenever he would see us in action in the local area. Of course after seeing this over and over I agreed with my corpmates that this was a good choice. 30 or so players, some new and some as old as my corpmates. The Unrefined had 20-something or so people in it.

So the wars begin........

Cleared for publication by: Ander

Both wars go into effect at the same time. I figure with 50 or so targets this should be pretty fun. I log in late one night, all by myself and see a member of Jax Corp online. I do a locate and head out to greet them. Lo and behold I pass them at a gate. They decide to high-tail it outta there. Of course, I follow. We both land at the stargate and I proceed to lock them. However they insta-warp into the horizon. I'm thinking, "Ah shit, I lagged out and didn't see which way they warped!" This was not to be the case. She pulled the old loggoffski trick. So I sit and wait. I am pretty patient. My patience pays off. They log back on and land right next to me. I proceed with the dirty deed and open fire. I get them to about 50% armor before they log off again. They must have trained Logoffski to level 5 it seems. Again, I sit and wait. Again, they log back in 15 minutes later. Again, they land right next to me. This time she warps out before I can do anything. She heads to the closest station. I am right behind her. I again lock and fire. She hasn't fired on me so I know she can dock....if she can make it there in time. Notice the station is 7500km from me and she is about 4800km from me? So she was about 2700km from docking at this point. 2006.11.16 05:12 Victim: Nedaia Alliance: NONE Corp: Jax Corp Destroyed: Arbitrator System: Romi Security: 0.7 Involved parties: Name: Nexa Necis (laid the final blow) Security: -0.2 Alliance: NONE Corp: The Really Awesome Players Ship: Thorax Weapon: Vespa II So close, yet so far away! That really had to burn them. I also scrambled their egg free of charge as well. They mustve panicked I am guessing since I lagged out for a few seconds before I got a lock on it. Apparently the prior podding had hit her so hard, it knocked her right out of Jax Corp. I log for the night, content with a ship and pod kill and a fair amount of loot. Looks like she was hauling a bunch of mods somewhere or just got done running a bunch of missions. So the next day I log in to see that a few of my corpmates had engaged some members of The Unrefined with good results. I believe they killed 3 ships and podded 2 or something close to that. That's when things got kinda funny. Both Jax Corp and The Unrefined had people fleeing their ranks post haste. Look at Brute Fighter's employment history. This guy changes corps like nobody's business. Hell, even Jumpingjax himself fled his own corp and left the mantle for an alt to hold his place. It looks like he up and started a new corp called Head Start. I don't mind spending the money to dec him, but we decided to dec Peregrin Avionics first since a large number of The Unrefined fled to join that corp for some reason. Now both corps are down in numbers. Jax is down to 15 or so and Unrefined is down to about the same. Then, more funny stuff occurs. Some guy named The HUND emails me and threatens that I had better leave Jax Corp alone or else. Apparently since he's in a pirate alliance of some sort and has a -5 sec rating, I am supposed to cower or something. 2006.11.19 01:34 hello, well, you play little wargames with our friends ? cool, before you get into further steps i strongly recommend you to speak with me, before hell comes over ya ... The HUND I convo him and see what the hell he is thinking.... [ 2006.11.19 02:00:55 ] The HUND > i heared you ransom jaxc [ 2006.11.19 02:01:04 ] The HUND > for NO reason [ 2006.11.19 02:01:11 ] The HUND > thats why i contaceted you [ 2006.11.19 02:01:52 ] Nexa Necis > i dont need a reason to make war, so im not sure what that is all about. [ 2006.11.19 02:02:25 ] The HUND > ok [ 2006.11.19 02:02:28 ] The HUND > cool down [ 2006.11.19 02:02:36 ] The HUND > i am NOT here for trouble [ 2006.11.19 02:02:40 ] Nexa Necis > im not upset :) just giving you the other side of things [ 2006.11.19 02:02:41 ] Shiaari > Be careful for that line of reasning: "I don't need a reason to make war".... its not nice when other people use that same line of reasoning. [ 2006.11.19 02:02:57 ] The HUND > no no no [ 2006.11.19 02:03:03 ] The HUND > see [ 2006.11.19 02:03:08 ] The HUND > i am diplomat [ 2006.11.19 02:03:12 ] The HUND > ok [ 2006.11.19 02:03:22 ] Shiaari > Well I never smack talked you.. that's all JJ. Besdes Jax Corp is no more. [ 2006.11.19 02:03:25 ] The HUND > so can we cool down, please ` [ 2006.11.19 02:03:32 ] The HUND > when i go to war [ 2006.11.19 02:03:34 ] Nexa Necis > i never said you did shiaari, i dont know you [ 2006.11.19 02:03:39 ] The HUND > a allaince come ! So at this point it looks like a Jax member decided to run and flee the Jax corp, then go cry to her pirate friend thinking he would scare me away. Of course they always fail to tell their friends about how bad their corp acted and smacktalked and all that jazz. Though apparently The HUND says he has defended Jax Corp in the past because Jax Corp has smacktalked other corps and gotten beat down from it. [ 2006.11.19 02:03:58 ] The HUND > so, let us please go to the basics and be friends [ 2006.11.19 02:03:59 ] Shiaari > You don't know me? [ 2006.11.19 02:04:15 ] Shiaari > The Executioner class frigate you hulled so long ago? [ 2006.11.19 02:04:15 ] The HUND > shut up shiaari [ 2006.11.19 02:04:18 ] Shiaari > Ok. [ 2006.11.19 02:04:31 ] The HUND > ok [ 2006.11.19 02:04:33 ] The HUND > facts [ 2006.11.19 02:04:41 ] The HUND > JJ smacked [ 2006.11.19 02:04:42 ] Nexa Necis > if your alliance wants to pay 50 mil a week to protect jax corp, by all means go ahead. hehe just cause i popped yoiu 3 months ago means i sit and reminisce about the kill. [ 2006.11.19 02:04:57 ] Nexa Necis > err doesnt mean i sit and reminisce about the kill [ 2006.11.19 02:07:53 ] The HUND > see, this is the second time i am in to get there ass out [ 2006.11.19 02:07:57 ] The HUND > cause of "smack" [ 2006.11.19 02:08:07 ] Nexa Necis > hmm sounds like a recurring problem with their corp [ 2006.11.19 02:08:23 ] The HUND > yep [ 2006.11.19 02:08:30 ] The HUND > i see it so [ 2006.11.19 02:08:40 ] The HUND > JJ grabs shits from the steet [ 2006.11.19 02:08:46 ] The HUND > baby that cry [ 2006.11.19 02:08:56 ] The HUND > or fuck like this [ 2006.11.19 02:09:15 ] The HUND > but peeps like shiaari , are our friends [ 2006.11.19 02:09:31 ] The HUND > no that crap JJ recruits from god the hell i do not know [ 2006.11.19 02:09:39 ] Nexa Necis > well, your friends should keep better company methinks. part of being in a corp or alliance is all for one and one for all. [ 2006.11.19 02:09:56 ] The HUND > yep Then he starts blabbing about crap and I get lost as English is not his first language and he starts making no sense whatsoever. So I decide to wrap it up....... [ 2006.11.19 02:37:42 ] Nexa Necis > cool [ 2006.11.19 02:37:46 ] Nexa Necis > have fun then [ 2006.11.19 02:37:49 ] The HUND > go for JJ, seems to be personal [ 2006.11.19 02:37:58 ] The HUND > so out of my buisness [ 2006.11.19 02:39:21 ] The HUND > and if oyu guys think you can go for shiaari - game over [ 2006.11.19 02:39:30 ] Nexa Necis > uh huh [ 2006.11.19 02:40:52 ] Shiaari > I would pray I haven't given anyone a reason to hat eme. [ 2006.11.19 02:44:35 ] Shiaari > Nexa, please don't wardec my new corporation. [ 2006.11.19 02:44:47 ] Shiaari > I haven't done anything to you. [ 2006.11.19 02:44:55 ] Shiaari > And I left JAXC. [ 2006.11.19 02:47:21 ] Shiaari > Look, I left JJ, he's gone his own way, and I've gone mine. If its JJ you want, you can have him without coming after me. [ 2006.11.19 02:47:27 ] Nexa Necis > well as long as you dont smack talk us or attack us there is nothing to worry about [ 2006.11.19 02:47:35 ] Shiaari > I've never done that. [ 2006.11.19 02:47:44 ] Nexa Necis > i never said you did [ 2006.11.19 02:47:58 ] Shiaari > But understand, your reputation in Empire space is not one of justice. She doesn't smack talk but she's now calling into question my reputation. I can see why their corp gets into trouble all the time. So the war against Peregrin starts tomorrow night. Hopefully their corp doesn't up and quit like the other 2 corps.

Erm, I could be totally off my block, but it kinda seems like that's not completely fair. She was being honest, not smack-talking.

Tombozo·

Don't you think it's a little hypocritical for your corp to recruit "pvp pilots over 1 year old only" when you are only 8 months old?

freaky·

I don't think it's her opinion when she's saying "your empire rep isn't good". If she said, "I think you are unjust" then that I could buy. She said everyone in empire knows me to be unjust when I've never not honored a ransom with legitimate players and I've honored every single 1 vs 1 I've been in. So to me it's like smack talking of sorts.

It's not hypocritical at all. Before I put that there I got bombarded by 1-20 emails a day asking if people could join. Since I am limited on CEO skills, I cant have but a few people in the corp, so it's to stem the flow of newbie thrill seekers.

I had a few people join thinking it's all killing and pwning and getting phat loots and podding non-stop. Then they see the boring side, agent locates, 15 jumps to kill 1 person, station camp or getting station camped when you're outnumbered. There's a lil bit of work required.

Those people are not long for our corp, so this also helps thin out the applicants.

Also, this character is only 8 months old, it doesn't mean my knowledge of pvp experience is limited to this char. I have 4 accounts right now.

PS-Hey Ander, how do I make it so you don't post my stories? I was gonna add on to this one thats why I waited and kept it as a draft. :)

Yes, wonderful \o/
makes me chuckle

off to wait for your new article ->

ok, this one made me wonder where it was going....then I read the last line and had a good laugh.

I don't think it's smack talk as such Freaky, but questioning your integrity (and ignorance really is bliss for a lot of the tards out there) certainly rates up there with smack. I'm keen to see whether The HUND is all talk or not.

I await the next tale from the front(s) :)

At least a corp like your is organised and doesn’t smack talk like school girls, I think the problem with these's other corps is there either being run by a little kid at the age of 11-15 that thinks he/she is a big shot but really doesn’t even have a clue to negotiate and trade with other corps and get’s there asses kicked when it comes to a war because they completely stuffed them selves up for them and there corp over snack talk or bad negotiations. Or on the other hand there completely bend on killing every thing in sight without thinking to plan and think of what’s best for the crop. All in all I think most of these players are idiots, except the good ones that teach these noobs a leason, the pirate way.

Its always nice to read your storys, they're always so random.

I think you are being a little unfair to Shiaari when she questions your reputation. You do not assess your targets solely based on profitabilty, which would seem logical to all of us. Instead, you are known for choosing your war targets based on YOUR perception of correct conduct. That will seem less rational to the Eve community. You are obviously well educated and will be aware of how slippery a path the "moral high road" is to tread. The only way to convince outsiders that your way was correct is to conquer them and re-write the history books. That is, of course, exactly what you are trying to do here:)

I am one of the newer eve players that has applied to TRAPS based on your stories here. I'm not flaming you above; your work makes Eve far more interesting.
