The hypocrisy of carebears never ceases to amaze me

I love this sort of hypocrisy, especially when it comes from carebears. Nice one on the petition, he deserved it truly :) Looking forward to the tails of war, hopefully you'll catch one of his Fleet Tempests :D

Freaky, I'm not a pirate, although I do occasionaly see my sec standing drop rapidly for some reason :) but carebears like that just give me a massive case of the shits!

It's not so much the blatant hypocrisy that gets me, it's the smug superiority they exude while trying to put you down. As in real life there are way too many people out there like this...and there's not enough lead to fix the problem.

I'll keep an eye out for this prick and certainly let you know if I see him.

I 'spose all that mission whoring on mindless rats that no-one (lag aside) should ever lose a ship to and their cunning exploits vs high-sec protected asteroids can build up a lot of battle experience...
Honestly, the worst people I've delt with in EVE, as a pirate, are the carebears and worse still, the "anti-pirate" carebear.

This is by no means a defence of Admiral Denzark and everything he said to your corp. mate or what he/she had in his/her bio. I truly agree that this guy is a hipocrit and a jerk who probably has nothing better to do than sending in petition after petition just to feel important.

I just wonder why you are so quick to brand him a carebear? Yes, he doesn't seem to be in a pirate corporation and he has some quote in his bio that could be interpreted as him not liking pirates. Is that what makes him a carebear? To me this guy is just another idiot who cares for no other person than himself. He has not only made a fool of himself to your corporation, but he has also brought a possible war dec. down on a corp he joined only 1 month ago. Just foolish, if you ask me, and if I was his CEO I would kick him from my corp at once.

He also invited your corp mate to do some personal PvP and that is not in the spirit of a carebear as I understand the term.

Let me quote Wikipedia:

"In MMORPG games, the term carebear normally refers to a player that does not like Player vs Player (PvP) conflict in the game. It is generally a derogatory term in this instance."

You will probably have surmised by now that I, probably, am one of these so-called carebears. I say that because I care about my corp mates, I care when I see or hear that someone isn't having as much fun as me playing this game. I want everyone to have fun and play this game however they would like because ultimately I wouldn't have any fun at all if I was playing this game alone.

Is that really so far from how you pirates think?

To summarize I think this Admiral Denzark is just someone who doesn't care for anyone, but himself and I wouldn't be proud of having him on my team if I was either a pirate, carebear, miner or in real life.

So, pirates, do your thing as long as it makes the game more interesting for you. Just don't be idiots like Denzark either if you are carebear or pirate. I know for a fact that piracy adds some excitement to my adventures when I traverse low-sec and I wouldn't want to see Eve without it.

If you don't like the title, no need to insult other's tastes in humor.

In my experience, the carebears I run into don't mind fighting but only when they have extreme odds or feel that it's a 100% chance of a win for them.

So yeah he was challenging a guy to a fight who can fly a T1 cruiser while he's in a faction fitted faction BS. Sounds like a carebear match-up to me.

I have to agree with Razorwhip on this one while I think this guy in the story is a idiot he is just an idiot.

I don't get why people feel the need to say someone is a carebear if there lame, there is this whole elitism epeen thing with piracy at the moment and one of the reasons i like eve pirate is that most of the stories stay away from this kind of thing.

So basiclay fun story shame about the elitism.

I've said many a time in my stories we are not the best, we don't pwn all, and just because we play our hands at pirates means we're better than anyone else in the game who's playing style differs.

I never knock miners, ratters or mission runners. You pay for the game, play it your way.

I don't think of carebear as a derogatory term no more than pirate is one. It just describes someones style of play, but there are many levels of those words in this game.

This story isn't meant to put carebears down. It's just a fun story about a carebear who happens to be an extreme hypocrite and thinks they are better than your average pirate scum for no apparent reason.

I found ya story most amusin, whatever peeps label each other an a-hole is an a-hole, and in eve the opportunity for an egomaniac to thrive is a fact, yu gotta laugh at that fartknocker he/she or whatever it was, sounded like she had a few plugs up the ole sphincter allreddy :)
