-- For immediate release --
Somewhere in Reykjavik, in a distant universe far into the future…
The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 9th and 10th of December will see the return of the EVE Online Alliance Tournament where 40 Alliances will compete in a knockout format over two weekends to be crowned Alliance Champions. For the second time, EVE TV will be there to broadcast the entire event, bringing you live commentary and expert in-studio analysis, as well as EVE Online’s own fast PVP gameplay and stunning visuals.
During the last broadcast, Band of Brothers were crowned as champions for the second consecutive time as over fifty thousand individuals connected to the stream over the course of the tournament, culminating with over ten thousand viewing on the final day. Talking you through every single match live will be two members of a team of hand-picked commentators flown in from around the globe, bringing you the matches blow by blow. Detailed post-match analysis will be provided by a studio team consisting of two community experts selected for their extensive knowledge of the game, an EVE Online Developer or local player as a guest, all working with an EVE TV host for a fun and exciting professional sports broadcast.
Details on how to tune in have not been revealed yet, mainly due to problems with the FTL transmission systems. We have many Minmatar slaves working on fixing it and they should have everything online and functional in a matter of days.
In the meanwhile you can go to the EVETV website and download previous matches from the Second Tournament broadcast in the summer, in addition to pieces filmed and broadcast live at the Fanfest ’06.
