Now ya see me

A few months ago I had just picked up my very first pilgrim from my alt along with a good set of fittings. I immediately undocked and began to head back to my own home system out in 0.0. As I was warping to the gate I decided “What the hell, local has a few people in it” so I ran a few scans and quickly noticed a Ferox out in a belt NPC’ing. I quickly narrowed his location down and warped that that belt.

There he sat blazing away at the local pirates without a care in the world. I quickly looked closer and he was not aligned to any object so I started to close the distance between us remaining cloaked. As I was getting closer I opened comms with the pilot and offered to let him keep his ship for the paltry fee of 25 million ISK :D . There was a slight pause as I am sure he was running his own system scan to see if I was inbound toward him. After seeing nothing on scan he replied. “You dammed pirates are getting lazier and lazier! You are not even around me and you’re asking for a ransom!” I quickly replied and repeated my offer to let him escape with his ship and his pod. I then warned him that if I did find him there would be no more ransom attempts. I would destroy his ship and send him home in a vat. During this conversation the last of the local pirates was killed and he was moving across the belt toward one of the dropped cargo cans to gather his loot. I positioned myself between him and the can. He very politely replied to my last offer of ransom with a clear violation of comm rules so I now decided that as he was not going to pay I would get what ISK I could from the wrecked hulk of his ship.

As he closed to within 4km of me I deactivated my cloaking device and immediately launched drones. I then locked him and began to cycle the nosferatu’s and activated my ECM modules. Quickly he was jammed and his warp drive scrambled. I ordered my drones to engage. The fight ended quickly. He never fired a shot. Without any capacitor power, he was unable to take the damage my drones were dealing and regenerate any of his shields. Once the ship was destroyed he was so shocked that he did not even manage to get his escape pod out of the belt either before I had it locked down and scrambled. His last words were……….


“Now I see you.”
