My story so far and a new opportunity.

Viront·

My name is Viront, a pod pilot in Eve universe and this is my story so far.

I've spent most of my time as a pod pilot running missions for the Brutor Tribe. This has allowed me to build up some cash and create jump clones so I can travel quickly and store my good implants in a safe clone. I had grown increasingly bored with missions, omber, and life in general so I've entered the warm and squishy womb of a famous pirate corp to try and find out how to enjoy my brief life (lives) as a pilot.

The corp I want to join isn't new to me, in fact I was introduced within the first week of completing pod pilot school. I took a trip to Amamake to deliver some data chip and help release some weak slaves... anyway, I would be paid if the mission was completed. It was in this system at the gate to ossogur that I met a rastafarian rocketguy and his friends. We had a talk, a brief one, in the age old language of wtfpwnzored and for the first time my conscious mind was sent back to my clone station in the most painful way possible. I was very cold for a brief few seconds as well.

I imagine many people would be angry or confused at this point, but my view screen was all green at this point, jealousy baby. I told my A.I. to keep track of the main members, see when they are active. I wanted to know what it is they do but keep my distance since I was obviously outclassed. I kept track of them and watched, drooling, as people screamed at them for ruining their lives and killing 'innocent' people for no reason. I wanted to kill those innocent people, I wanted people to yell at me! But whenever I tried to kill innocents they would turn out to be bait instead and hold me for their much larger friends so we could talk about how much hull my rifter really has. I gave up for now on matching or joining this elite corporation since I was clearly too mortal for consideration.

I tried mining omber, building things, and even failed at finding a spot to research BPOs with little help from my carebear corp. I joined a corp that poached members from my previous corp to try and get out in low sec and even 0.0 space. We pulled in tons of noob pilots, or nooblots, into our corp and I was given administrator access to help with setting permissions, naps, applications, etc... I was determined to make something of myself and put a mark on this vast universe even if a corp with a stupid name would me the means.

After a failed attempt at setting up a tower in a low security system, thanks to the help of a local pirate corp that painted me green with envy once again. We needed another goal... With the help of our CEO, a truly honorable pilot but a carebear nonetheless, we set off to join a corporation that planned on making an alliance. We received naps with the french and POE since both had a big influence in Venal at the time. Despite my voice of common sense screaming the contrary in my head we moved millions worth of BPOs and equipment 27 or so jumps along a pipe to a Gurista station deep in 0.0 space.

I tried setting up in the area but my first attempt at making instas to the gates was a disaster. The gates were different sizes then the large Minmatar types that had a forgiving jump area around them. Each insta was 3-6km off on the long pipe to our new home. I attempted to make instas back but at the very first gate was torn to bits by a confused Frenchman in an inty.

I opened a channel with the french CEO, the guy who pwnt me, my CEO, and the CEO of the corp that brought us out to the area. I was told it was a misunderstanding since we had just got naps... As we talked I made my way back and saw 3 french carriers sitting around the station, yeah 3. From the conversation and the hugemongous ships I got the impression that we were very, very small and this incident may not be the last. I left the channel quickly and hid in the station for awhile playing with the market as I waited for my A.I. to download some social skills that would help me talk to those stubborn Gurista agents.

We began running missions for the local pirates but it didn't feel right, we killed CONCORD scouts and that felt really great but that was it, no ransoms or hate mail or the coveted trash talk in local I've wanted for so long.

Plans quickly changed and I thought my dreams had come true as POE asked us to join their alliance.. Red flags went up since I hadn't been paying attention to the politics lately, and the french seemed to be leaving, but we ignored the warnings and jumped headfirst into the Alliance without a helmet. Sure enough the french completely left and it turned out that POE had more enemies than I could fit on my view screen. To make matters interesting the corp in charge of combat defected to the enemy and opened fire on us. My CEO was one of the first to lose a battleship to their traitorous onslaught, the smart bastards had joined the stronger side as we handed them free kill mails.

Mass confusion swept the alliance and the members of our small corp were confused so they kept out of the area or in stations due too heavy ship loss and almost no coordination on our side. We hid inside the station since they had enormous blue bubble set outside to jam our warp systems. I had seen organization, teamwork, strength, skill, and a strong effort between different corporations and alliances... This scared me since all our side could put together was a nervous rag-tag group of frigs, quickly squashed by pink bunnies in large ships.

After we being rescued by the french we thought things may be clear but the enemy camp was quickly rebuilt and fortified with no hope of us breaking it. It was clear POE was dead without the traitors and we had only boarded a sinking ship. We left them and went back under the shroud of protection the mindless drones called CONCORD offer. My CEO attempted to bring back the BPOs in a brave but foolish run and lost them to those evil pink rabbits.

After that I spent time running missions, half awake, for a Brutor corp to make some cash. Almost our entire corp had abandoned us or left the life of pod piloting all together. Only a few close friends remained and they to seemed to grow wary of this life, although they may have been fine and it was just my extreme boredom that clouded my perception of others. Whatever I was bored and once again found myself searching for the elite pirate corp that had inspired me so long ago to put down my mining turret and pick up a gun. As I read about them in various places my interest grew and I was able to convince a corp member to make the trip with me to one of their offices in low security and put in an application to join them in their endless quest for destruction and ransoms.

My corp member was screened and employed but I was initially denied due to my brief interest in a corporation with a bad rep in the surrounding regions. I sent a plea in to their recruiting agents to reconsider me and look deeper into my history, I had nothing to hide. Not long after that I found myself cleaning drool from my chin as I stared at the acceptance letter in my mail. This was my chance, I could make my name known after working with the best pirates in the universe, carebears will scream my name in the largest letters possible in their local chat channel as I tear through their hulls and wallets... I will let them make the choice of course, remember - weapons and engines off, no friends appearing in local, fast payment, and save smack talk for after or ideally send me a hate mail since I plan to save them.

So far I've already found death at a well camped gate were I learned that jump to 0km doesn't work through bubbles. To my surprise this camp was run partially by the pink bunnies I had run from long ago in Venal. I couldn't let them take another pod from me so I self destructed instead of trying to make the jump from another angle.

Beside that little incident, and another that showed me how useful interceptors are at keeping you from using auto cannons, I've seen some great fights. My skills have been limiting my effectiveness in battle but I expect that to change very soon. This isn't the end of my story but really only the beginning since I finaly have the chance to fight along side those that killed me long ago and opend my mind to a different way of flying.

Over the coming months I plan to not only make carebears cry but to gain trust within this corporation and join the ranks as an elite pirate. Those that have known me may think I'm a nice guy but know that I set forward since the beginning to pirate and my opportunity has presented itself so keep out of my way.

Hope to see you in your pod or as an entry in my wallet journal,
-Viront

Viront.
Your entry shows that you have a great lust to join the best of the best.
I also wish this to happen.
Learning from the pros is the best way to stay alive and make a profit.
I congratulate you in accomplishing such a task as this.
I would look forward to meeting you in EVE for a chat one day.
Well done.

Although that guy could of easily blown your head off, if the gun was loaded, if not just punched you instead.
If you spoke aloud the words you muttered because acting without thinking in bravery can easily turn the other way. The guy could of summoned enough courage to pull the trigger but thankfully for you the guy was panicking and getting worried, probably didn’t even hear what you said and just ran with the first handful of money in a panic.
Probably had the suspicion he'll get caught if he stayed any longer.
Anyway good story.
