First victory, small but encouraging.

The day started with me on the run from a hostile (i.e. non-corpmate) in a caracal. I cursed each gate as they forced my rifter to wait in a queue of 1 at each gate making a usually easy escape difficult. I veered off an unbeaten path when he couldn't see where I was warping and set my destination for a random spot in 0.0. I hesitated as my ship approached a know choke point from low to 0.0 and gathered my courage. I had to kill something and running was only making me sleepy. My eyeball twitched a little as I waited for another queue, clearly the gates wanted me to die today. As my ship materialized I noticed a shuttle approaching the gate. Shuttles were removed from my overview for some odd reason so only luck had faced me in the right direction to see the fool auto piloting to the gate. My luck didn't stop at that point since the gate gods repaid their evil and forced the helpless shuttle to bounce off the gate instead of jump, queues 4tw! My MWD flashed on barreled me towards him as he cut to 90 degrees to bring up traversal, my guns missed like mad so I turned my speed off and steered my ship parallel to the shuttle. I grinned as my shots began to register and almost screamed, "YEEHAW!" as his pod emerged from the wreckage. The targeted bleeped as I tried to come up with an acceptable ransom for his clone but he suddenly shot off into nothingness. I stared for a second not believing he had escaped, to a safe spot no less. In my moment of joy I had used the webber rather than my scram >.< My rifter pulled up to the wreck and extracted a few skill books worth around 2 million isk. As I sat watching the scanner to try and find the little egg I saw a familiar name in local. A pink bunny! And only one of them... Bait. Those rascally rabbits weren't going to fool me again (not till later that day at least) so I wasn't about to bite. I've never seen these furry buggers travel alone unless they have friends on the other side of the gate, lots of them. I'll save my next meeting with those fluffy killers for another day. For now I'm happy with my one little kill, it felt good to squash someone even though they were defenseless. In fact, my scanners is looking for miners right now, I see much happiness in my future.
