You won't believe your eyes.......
Actually, you probably do believe your eyes. I died. Yes. Can you believe it? Guess what? I also got podded. No more bounty. I feel so naked. Please donate to my bounty. It's cold here where I live and I need bounty to keep me warm.
So I hope this helps dispel the myth I only engage miners and n00b corps when I have the advantage. Prior to this fight I engaged a Caracal while 2 other WTs were in system. I was taking a chance. When I warped to the gate just before I jumped over, I saw a scout decloak from warping away. I knew there would be people waiting for me on the other side of the gate.

I fly cheap so it's not really much of a loss at all. I was actually smiling about it. It reminded me of when I first got into PVP. It's not like you're afraid to die per se, but when you rack up a long streak of wins, the threat of loss looms over like a dark cloud. It's inevitable. Once you die, the cloud is lifted. Especially when you go down in a blaze of glory in a firefight like this. I'll admit getting your T1 frig ganked by 15 AF's wouldn't lift the cloud much, but a fair loss like this definitely does.
There was a little smack talk from someone in their gang to my alt in the next system, making fun of him. That's the only smack though. The rest of the people seemed quite nice. I convoed the pilot who got the final blow to offer congrats on collecting my bounty as it was certainly a lot more than they got from my basic loot.
This has been a fairly rough week for my corp. I think we are leading the killboard in overall corp loses hehe. Still it's a great learning experience for all my guys, myself included.
Still it doesn't keep me from hoping back in the saddle....

I got this as I was writing this. I noticed the pilot docked and undocked so I figured he was out looking for war targets. I initially grabbed a Thorax, but had to redock when I realized I had a shitty setup, so I grabbed my Vexor, which I then realized had a shitty setup. I still won in the end though. Made about 15mil in loot from the kill as well.
I just wanted to show everyone that yes, we do lose. When we do lose, we do it without grace because we are not the best PVP'ers in the game, but at least we fight with great sportsmanship, and die with honor.8 Comments
Very nice indeed, if i wasn't in such a great corp right now i would definitly want to join your corp. Lots of action and lots of targets to satisfy my aggressive playstyle.
Grats on your first podding, may there be many more ;)
Best regards

lolz...
u didn't 'engage' the multiple targets... u got GANKED!
Actually I know what freaky means, I often engaged in fights where I knew I'd be outnumbered back when I was simple pirate, if you lost it felt ok since you were so clearly outnumbered, but if you won the satisfaction was huge :)
i am annoyed because am bored with waiting but am 3 month old now and things are looking good
in proper pvp caracals are not bad
:) strong senses though
You would of fought bravely.
Well done.
You're a fucking idiot.
Nice Story - Been great having you guys with us.
SKUNK
Oh and i just notice the person in your screen grab MISTRESS SUFFERING got ganked in her domi by 8 pilots from 5 corps flying under the Privateer Alliance banner (including one of your guys) soon after that and was carrying a lot of T2 stuff
:-)
