Russians keep giving pirates lots of love

After listening to this guy smacking in local we decided to come pay them a visit. I was slightly worried about if it was a dual-layered trap, and if they would be jumping in their capital ships. Luckily, they wouldn't.

They had setup a gate with close-range battleships and a couple long-range snipers and a large mobile warp distruptor bubble.
The gate was covered with tier 1 to 3 battleships, tier 2 battlecruisers and cruisers. The gangs were about even with 15 pilots on our side in battleships and 15 on theirs.

We had one heavily tanked guy jump in and uncloak first and once their guns were focused on this ship we simply uncloaked all at the same time. Myself being in a fast hyperion with mwd & 425mm railgun II's I got to the edge of the warp disruptor bubble as soon as I could.

The fight was a blast! I had to get out several times due to the damage I was recieving and they seemed to primary me every chance they got. Eventually we broke through their numbers and ripped through their gatecamp.

At the end of the battle when no enemies were left on the battleground, we counted 17 kills on them and one on ours side. Loot (including cov ops cloaking device II from the buzzard) was plentiful and would pay for any losses.

Russian losses: 2x maelstrom, 3x drake, ibis, reaper, 2x raven, 2x stabber, rifter, buzzard, tempest, 2x omen, dominix.

Our losses: Armageddon

This fight was really fun, and I appreciate that these guys were brave to not flee the battlefield or logoff.
