I've promised myself to never try World of Warcraft. It just seems to dull and pampered for my taste.
I've played UO, AO, EQ, EQII, FFXI Online and many other MMO's which names I'm too lazy to write here.
Most of you know that WoW just got their new expansion released , and what do we eve people get? An extended downtime for free content updates!
That's right, we get our content updates for free. WoW players have to pay for it... suckers...

I played WoW once before swapping fully to EVE.
To your information, WoW has released patches almost doubling its size all for free, releasing far more content than EVE, many of the patches at the size of the one being released.
Im not saying that makes WoW a better game than EVE, but theres some info you cant read at the EVE forums.

I've played WoW since us-closed beta, and it is very overrated.
In the beginning it is a very entertaining game, but it is far from balanced.
The content doesn't last very long (gets boring), and there is absolutely no consequences in PvP or PvE.
Besides the game was so much better in the beginning, mainly because Blizzard has incremently fucked up PvP, and class balance ever since they released it.
In the beginning the players were older, and most had previously played some sort of MMORPG, this made for a good and fun community. Now 80% of the players are fps kids and griefers.
Eve has so much more to offer and explore!

I'm kinda hoping that CCP will buy out WOW and include it as a planet in EVE so I can maybe one day comence a planetary bombardment of that planet.

WoW has its ups and downs.
I played it when it came out for well over a year and I am now glad I do not play it. I had a lot of fun but it just couldnt hold my interest with its constant server downtime and insane lag at the best of times.
The fact that the new expansion took two years to be released and was supposed to come out 3 months ago and also costs €45 only makes me even more confident in my decision to give up playing it.

I played WoW for well over a year and the only thing I miss about it is the "instant action"; even though BG's were bad.
