Rifter, I loved you.

My Rifter and I have had many good times, from killing you and your friends to holding you down so my friends can kill you. I’ve taken my Rifter through many fights and sometimes left it behind as I execute a strategic exit in my pod. The ship is one of the best looking Minmatar ships IMO, although that’s not saying much. Sadly, the old girl can no longer keep up with me as my skills and experience grow. I find myself looking at cruisers and destroyers more and more often nowadays…

The cost of the Rifter has always been appealing. Sadly the cost of the modules I stick on it far outweigh the cost of the ship. Her firepower is maxed yet still laughable and defense is minimal no matter how you fit things out. The limited modules don’t allow for many setups and leave the ship vulnerable in many serious ways. Not that I haven’t had my share of fun, many people are taken by surprise when I show them what my tech II guns can really do or I hold them down as they desperately try to kill me and local is filling with Sniggy goodness. This guy thought he had an easy target, after all it was just me and him in local.
Thank you for flying! *kiss*
But as a lone fighter my passengers are usually unprepared, mining, or afk. Those that have the proper tools or a fast ctrl+q hand miss the plane. The number of available passengers decreases with every lesson I give in my Rifter. So I need more fire-power, more tank, more versatility. Cruisers, destroyers, BCs, and battleships are now all available to me and I can fly them effectively. I suppose I could have abandoned the Rifter at most one month ago but I’m sure others know how I feel, it is so hard to let go. So, with some regret, I retire my Rifter and send it into the sun. She is not forgotten and will always be remembered.
Farewell Rifter, may your scramblers stay strong and your MWD burn bright!

I love the rifter and still fly it but understand the point of picking targets carefully. If you can't do a decent alpha-strike and take someone down *real* fast: you're dead. Part of the excitement I guess.

Hello, I'm a recent addition to eve-Online. I have this ship, any suggestions for the fittings?

Keep in mind that I'm new (under 20 days). Usually i mine with another ship, but in order to break the monotony, I've been learning fighting skills and fighting NPC pirates in 0.7 to 0.5. I can handle most, but 3 Guardians can still give me trouble sometimes, but no losses yet.

Currently:
Limited by power
2 x 125 mm
1 mn afterburner
small armor repairer 1
warp stabilizer 1
small battery
small shield booster 1
