The origins of Logoffski and Apollo Creed is avenged!

I'll start with an update first. Remember Saywen Tofire? He and his alt were members of Kiroshi Corp who we have had war dec'd for quite some time now. You might recall him telling me how he's enjoying the war, and it's actually helping him to make more cash. You also might remember how he likes to talk smack when he has massive odds in his favor, but given a fairly even fight, he runs or stays permadocked. One night we were hunting war targets and I was lounging on a stargate in my Taranis. I was playing multiple accounts at that moment so I switched screens just in time to see Saywen in a Caracal, start aligning to warp away from the gate. I locked him but he was stabbed. Big surprise there. He immediately docked, and stayed there for the rest of the evening. So brave is he not? Of course he is! He is also enjoying the war so much, he quit his corp, and joined an allianced corp. I have other characters that are in corps that are at war with IRON. I will really enjoy it if I can pop him on another account. :) Kiroshi started the war with 59 members and they have atrophied to under 25 and counting. Now onto the Russians. I stumbled across a mission pharming Russian corp called Red Rodgers Stars. I saw two very young pilots of theirs piloting Rokhs one night. I figured it would make for some fun fighting as many newer players fail to realize a solidly setup cruiser will take out a shitty fitted battleship without much trouble. So the war begins and they promptly park their asses into their HQ and refuse to do anything but undock/redock. I think they figured we would get bored after a bit. Two or three more days go by and now they have resorted to fitting all WCS in low spots, warping out of the system, redocking in a neighboring system where their mission is then refitting and start the mission, then reverse the entire process to get back to their agents for the next mission. But usually they never undocked, even when they had the odds in their favor. After a few close calls for them, they realize they need to take action. So I log in and see Rlotus. He is one of their older pilots. I am alone with him and 4 of his corpmates at their HQ. 2 of his corpmates had been spotted in a Rokh and a Drake. Rlotus undocks in a Nighthawk. This could be good. He has rigs and all T2 fittings. He undocks and engages my Domi. Then another of his friends undock in a Omen to help. I could be getting ganked if the rest undock and jump in. Just as Zodbg undocks his Drake, my corpmate in his Domi shows up to lend a helping hand and the Drake redocks. Of course the Omen was stabbed up and warps out as soon as he realizes it's a lost cause. Then Rlotus pulls the ol Logoffski. Notice in the picture we're about to blow him up and yet amazingly, his name doesn't show in local? Of course, his weak attempt fails and his Nighthawk goes pop. I wish rigs could survive the blast. Still, we manage to snag 40mil of the 100mil worth of fittings he had. There's a nice loss off 300mil+ in a matter of seconds. Too bad he didn't just pay the surrender fee. I was only asking for 100mil. I figured since all of them are flying 35mil Drakes, and 100mil Rokhs, surely they'd spend 100mil on avoiding a war and the hassles that go along with it. Of course, I just happen to have a alt in the system who excels at probing the elusive Logoffski character types. Again, notice in the picture he is not listed in local, but there sits his lone pod. Waiting for me. It's beacon calling out to me much like the heart in Edgar Allan Poe's The Tell Tale Heart. I start the lengthy process of locking the pod as my corpmate guards the station to make sure none of their friends leave the station. Pop it goes. Another corpse for the collection. The best part was he had just logged in as I podded him. I really wonder what was going through his mind as he restarted Eve. First he sees that he's still in Inaro. He might be thinking his ship survived the assault. Then he sees the screen fading out from darkness as my fat-assed Domi scrambles his egg. Then he is greeted by the swirling lights of the docking bay of his clone's station. Yeah he had to be pissed. I am betting that he had a sweet-ass set of implants fitted too. A lot of these Empire folks never anticipate getting war decs so many of them load up on the best implants they can afford. Plus they usually don't have jump clones installed to avoid losing implants. Mind you, the whole time prior to this, these guys refused to fight but would happily smack talk me in Russian. I never really bothered translating it because it always came out so nonsensical. Instead I goofed back with them by bringing the Cold War back a bit and remembering a fallen hero of America, Apollo Creed. That man was a national treasure until he was buried forever by the Terminator-esque Ivan Drago. So in between them docking in their frigs and me popping and podding them with my Domi, I would link Youtube videos of the Apollo Creed vs. Ivan Drago fight. On a side note, how the hell do people lose pods to a Domi with a lock time of 19 seconds? It makes no sense. Though it's pretty funny to pop their frigs with sentry drones. I don't think they expected to be in structure after 1 hit. So back they go to the old station hugging technique. Some of them opt to run 20 jumps out and start anew with a new agent and a new system. Of course, they fail to realize how many alts I have. So I park one to camp this guy. He goes nuts in local for an hour. Screaming in broken English and bemoaning his situation in Russian as well. Of course the ones that stayed in Inaro started defecting their corp like Robin Williams did in Moscow On The Hudson. Other's followed... As usual, they start getting weird on me. One guy starts convoing my corp asking if he can join us. What planet are these people from?! I decide to goof with him a bit. Slowly but surely they are all defecting from their corp. I will keep the war going a few more weeks though to ensure they feel the pain all us Americans felt when we lost Apollo Creed. RIP my friend. You will be avenged! My corp constantly gets made fun of because people in this game think Empire space is for pussies and there is no real fun to be had in Empire. Oh how wrong they are. Why just the other day I log into my alt to watch my guys take on some mining corp who was out for revenge on them because my guys repeatedly stole their ore. It was a Maller and Tempest versus Raven, Hawk, Thorax and Exectioner. They lost of course and they actually had some decent loot and my guys made a fair chunk of change off them. They also popped a Drake of this corp the day before. So this corp is down about 200mil or so in ships and mods, all because we took about 200k worth of ore from them. Now that's a smart investment. :) Of course since we spend all our time in Empire we also meet new and interesting people from around the world and kill them. Take Flysong for instance. He spends all his time in Tash quietly mining Veldspar and Pyroxeres as one of my guys quietly spent his time taking said ore. This throws him into an epileptic rage.... Also he will make a new corp every time I dec him. He seems to think 2mil a day is a lot of money for me, then forgets that he has to spend 2mil a day to start a new corp. He quits the first corp I dec'd and now I have him ready to be dec'd on his new corp with several alts of mine. He emails me trying to laugh it all off, yet he gets very frustrated in local because my guys go and camp him so they force him to mine and dock instead of jettisoning it into jetcans. His clock will get punched soon enough. :) I have one last thing to share. I ran into this guy in Tash, ratting in a Brutix. I steal his rat wreck and he fires on my frig. I come back in a BC to match his. He wasn't winning at all, and he especially wasn't winning when he set off his smartbomb a lil too close to another player not flagged to him who stopped by to watch the fight. Concord FTW!!! He was even nice enough to send me the killmail, even though I had to walk him through the complicated process of cut and paste. Can you believe this guy is a 14 month old player? I don't buy it. I think he bought that character or is playing on a friends account. Nice guy though. I felt really bad when I saw his setup. He had small rails, lasers and tractor beams fitted. He had a T2 PDS and repper but they went pop. I felt even worse when my corpmate informed me he had popped the same guy 10 hours earlier in his Exequror. Still he was a friendly guy and a very good sport. Another side note here, thanks to everyone in game and out who email/convo me with words of support. I am glad so many people enjoy the stories I post. Also, to those people interested in applying to TRAPS, please don't bother unless you intend on getting involved for a little bit. I am getting tired of people constantly asking questions, going through the app process, only to get in and quit 2 days later for no real reason. Or they join, and sit 30 jumps out and complain there's no targets near them. I also will not accept brand new characters. I don't care how badass your main character is, if your alt is only a month old, don't bother. We prefer 1yr+ of experience but it's not written in stone. So please only bother if you're serious. We offer nothing in the way of ship discounts, insurance subsidizing, mod replacement or any renumeration of any sort. You must be self sufficient. Thanks to all TRAPS members past and present for making this the funnest character of all my accounts. Thanks too all our victims and thanks to all those who beat us up and taught us some lessons.
