I love piracy

After leaving SNIGG i took some time out to get some iskises in, also to see what i wanted to do with my future. Now, i luv playing eve and for me theres nothing better then joining a corp with a good bunch of people on TS or Vent.

Im now in VETO (Have to say thanks to the people that vouched for me in SNIGG as Verone used his connections to dig out any dirty bits about me, although being a Welshman is common regarding one issue ;) ) and its great to be back to pirating. I was in an NPC corp and everyday i had to put up about reading about BOB vs the world, most of them wannabies... But, doing mission after mission was borring. I did'nt have time to join a big alliance for PVP so i thought having enjoyed pirating i go back to that.

The one problem that sticks out is being an outlaw. Its a pain trying to bring in new ships. Most fit in a Indy. But, Command Ships dont which i enjoy the most. Also, trying to get an Indy through low sec can be fun ;)

So i find myself in VETO. Had a good easter weekend killing and some of the peeps on Vent are a blast. We had a fun op last night, and i havnt laughed hard in ages.

Blasting people. I love it, i dont know why. I dont think "Hey, lets ruin this persons game" To me its all about the thrill of comming out victorious "Will i? Won't i?". Piracy is getting harder with T2 Industrial ships, sentries doing more damage and more of them and uber tanked baited ships. More people are willing to fight back (Which is good, esp with gate camps allthough gatecamping is low on VETO list if there nothing to kill, a little gatecamp session and ransom can bring some iskies in). Great thing with piracy is that you can go and just blast people or try to atleast. With these big wars there blobs waiting for you on the other side and your doomed unless you can match there fleet.

One thing that annoys me with piracy is that people think we were bullied in school and we use Eve to get revenge. I wasnt bullied. I lead a prety good school life, friends with most people, played sports for the school and enjoyed the partys and trying to buy booze underage (6'4 at 15 4tw). A pirates life can be hard, its not uncommon to be camped into a station by an anti-pirate corp or alliance. 40vs10 is not fun. You cant travel freely, well not in a ship and people can see you in local clearly as an outlaw.

But what do i love about piracy? I love that feel of being free. Not bound to only shoot war targets. The banter in local from victims or via Eve Mail. The banter on Vent\TS (Coms on a Pirates corps is nothing like a normal Corp Vent\TS) and last but not least, the WANTED banner stuck on my mug! Oh, another thing. Most great setups come from pirates, you be supprised that most pirates are some of the smartest people i've met!
