For the record I did apologize for the nasty words. Furthermore I think Nexa shrugs off a bit how annoying ore thieving is. It's preying on weaker players to either 1) piss em off or 2) Get them to fight because they don't understand the game mechanics. 15 minute drunken diatribes in local may not be cool but I'd put ore thieving up there with it. The idea that well "it's part of the game mechanics" seems like a weak argument as so is smacktalking technically.

Still I regretted it, and won't be doing it in the future. Or at least I will try not to :)

As far as Psycotic1 goes I got nothing but loyalty for the guy. Say what you want to but what set him off was that someone was going to be following me around and war dec me. Alot of people might just have let me go at that point (and I offered). Instead he defended me.

Ive only ever seen one person smacktalk me and it really wasnt that bad, but this guy really does, as you say, take it to another level. I really do hate people that talk how badass they are from behind a stations walls, or behind 6 other people making it a 6v1. Reading this made me get very angry. I know every bit of how annoying ore thievery is. It's a lot less annoying than getting a 100 million ISK BS blown up while ratting in low sec. Certainly less annoying than losing a T2 hauler filled with loots at a gate camp or something.

I mean how annoying is someone stealing under 100k worth of ore? Let's get serious here a minute. If I stole 20 mil worth, yeah, that would definitely be annoying. 20k worth? It's laughable.

You say the "game mechanics" reasoning is a weak excuse. It's not weak. If I steal from your corp, your entire corp has 15 minutes to kill me. If you smack talk me, I have no recourse to get at you other than a war dec.

I am not sure which newbs you are talking about not knowing about game mechanics and such. The people at the original encounter were as old or older than me IIRC, except Nomorelies perhaps. I know Ro is a week or so younger and I am pretty sure you're a bit older than me.

Yussef, I think Psyco defended you just because he honestly though he was going to pull through. You didn't see all the smack talk he posted about you. I only posted a small portion of it. He would call you a friend in one sentence then blast your character a minute later.

To all the people who have posted here and emailed me in game, thanks for the compliments.

This story took a long time to make. Basically what I do is compile and edit all the screenshots. Then I cut and paste the chat logs into a huge word file in chronological order, then piece it together from there. This one took a few hours overall from start to finish.

I gotta tip my hat to the Green Latern Corp for the tag team action and great teamwork.

I also gotta thank my corp for being a stand up group of people. My guys never complained once while being camped or when they died. They really are a awesome bunch of people.

I have a feeling we're just not gonna agree on the ore thieving vs smacktalk thing so oh well.

I actually find the whole war thing kind of fun except for the fact that others gotta suffer for it. Also money is a problem. If I had infinite money I'd be at war constantly and never mission/mine/rat whatever again.

Yussef, I have no problem with you, you seemed nice. For me, it's all psyco. I would defend my members, but when they are in the wrong, there is only so much a CEO can do. I *try* to be civil. I wont start smack. And if I engage in it, I don't attack play or them, but only what they said and I use it back at them.

I've gotta tip my hat to you guys for some fights, but I can't stand when someone smacks me for docking instead of engaging against 7 people, mostly in BS's. When they often dock, when they have 2 against me.

2. I used you guys as a way to get some publicity and see where the rest of the corp members were at PVP wise, and yea we are a fornight old corp, we need to work on some things lol, we only flew what we could afford to lose, so it didnt bother us losing those ships.

3. Our killboard can be seen by others, and it is OUR killboard, so i made it optional to post their losses as well.
Why should I let others see details about the ships my corp mates usually fly, etc...

You seem a bit upset about having your ass kicked, but that's only understandable.

The reason Nexa claimed you where mercs is because you where, in fact, hired as such by psycotic1. That you would not honor your agreement with psycotic1 makes you bad mercs. Not pirates.

About the last statement, I can't beging to understand why you would put that there, as at no time did we use that against you. I suppose it makes you feel better about loosing so much to throw out accusations without any kind of evidence to support your claim.

Better luck next time. You might want to stay away from merc work as it takes a certain amount of work ethic, something you have proven you don't have.

It's like you're saying that it makes a huge difference that you called me a twat at 1am instead of 3pm.

It's not like I twisted it to hide something or to gain anything. It' comes down to the fact I had so many chat logs with all the smack talk, it gets a bit muddled when you're trying to piece it all together.

I even stated that the time line was a bit off in that one spot. I specifically cited that because I know you're into semantics and would split hairs over the time line issue.

If you're going to call me out on manipulating the chat logs to somehow bolster my position, please be specific about it. Otherwise, I can't do much to rectify anything.

These DSM guys gate camped me in Dantumi the other night, and have have an L3 locator agent in umokka, so I yo ever need any help locating , gimme a convo ingame.

I'm from Scotland and can confirm that psycotic1 is talking crap. The whole of the UK spells English words the same. It's "intelligence". USA spells colour, color and that's all I can think of as being different.

We use different words to mean the same though!

I'm in a corp in the goonswarm aliance and would hope psycotic1 never get's in. Although there are some folk that that smacktalk about homosexuals and niggers in the aliance chat channel quite often which, I really look down on.

Actually, Ander has nothing to do with approving my stories. I am a certified author on this website because of my numerous submissions. Therefore he has granted me access to publishing my own stories. I do not abuse the power. Everything I publish is based on facts for the most part. Granted there are always 2 sides to every story, I don't know everything, but anyone feeling differently can always post comments, like yourself, or make their own story to refute anything I post.

His smack talk doesn't bother me the way you make it out to be. I love when other people smack talk my corp. It makes killing them all the more enjoyable.

As far as what gives me the right to vilify someone here, Psycotic1 and his smack talking corpmates did. Perhaps you're misusing the word vilify?

Nothing in this story is false. It's factual. It's not malicious. It's humorous if anything. I don't think I spoke ill of someone who was innocent, though I guess showing him caught lying and being a weirdo could be construed as talking ill. I can say he's a smack talking moron, because I have the screenshots and chat logs to prove it.

If he never said a thing and we beat them or they beat us, or if he paid the ransom up front, there wouldn't be a story just yet. I would wait for more war stories and bundle it in with those. It just happened that with his case, he talked an ungodly amount of smack talk and blatantly lied about things and when he got caught in the lies, he just lied some more.

I make no pretenses of being better than anyone else. I do make statements that my corp doesn't smack talk, and we always honor our word. If you find this to not be true, by all means, post a story on it. It would be quite popular.

What I tend to point out in a lot of my stories are the people who make similar claims that they are honorable and such then get caught in the act contradicting themselves and being hypocritical so I make a story about it.

No one forces them to call me a butt fucking fag. They come up with this stuff on their own.

I never whined once in my story. Show me a whine in any of my stories. I have fun through the course of all my stories. Even the ones where I get killed.

My stories are not that much different than a lot of the Eve-Pirate stories. Most of some other stories read "I got in XYZ ship, went to ABC system, saw JoeSchmo in his 123 ship and killed/ransom/almost killed/got away/podded them."

I like to think my stories add more of a personal touch. My stories contain that same "flew here in this to kill that" stuff, but it also adds the before and after. There are the parts where I steal 10k of ore and some guy calls me a nigger fucker for over an hour in local. Then I dec his corp. Then they do all sorts of weird shit with smack talking and lying. Then we kill them 10 times over and they pay for their smart mouth.

These people give me the material. I am not into the "I killed this ship with my ship" plain stories. I like a little more behind the scenes details.

I learned long ago posting here, I ain't gonna be able to please everyone.

I welcome constructive criticism but most of the negative comments usually are personal attacks where people tell me to grow up and get a life.

Great story, Wars are good ! (privateers are teh suck however :D). I remember this happening to my corp but we never spoke such rot to the aggressors and after some time they just got bored of us. That was back in my very early days of eve however, since then I've learned its better to be the aggressor than the prey :)

1. I called you a merc corp because you were hired for a specific job. Privateers are pirates. They war dec corps if you pay them the war dec fee but they don't actively hunt specific targets in that sense as far as I am aware. They try to kill everything they encounter. They don't seem to stalk/hunt people like your corp tried to with mine.

2. You used us for publicity? That makes no sense. Try being a real pirate/merc corp. Those corps build up fame on their actions. Not on lying and scamming.

You're recruitment post on Eve-O Forums has you mentioning how honorable you are and how your corp is honorable as well. You "used" us and scammed the DSM corp. Not very honorable.

You can say, "But we're pirates, we don't need honor". You do if you're ransoming people. You're basically shooting yourself in the foot.

3. If you're reasoning was to avoid others gathering intel on your ships, then you would also want to censor your kill mails since they have intel as well. You don't do that though, so to me, and I can bet you, to a lot of others, your reasoning makes no sense. Personally, I think its more of a case where you dont want to have 5 kills, 4 of them haulers, and then 6 losses. All image, no substance.

4. You guessed wrong. If you don't care what I think, that's fine, cause I wouldn't hire you ever. I can bet you anyone who read this story wouldn't either.

I wasn't pointing out you kill haulers, or that you are greedy, or that you fight in lopsided battles. I was pointing out that you were scamming a client and you stack your killboard. Nothing more.

Come to low sec to a non-capital safety area? That's funny. You're basically saying you can't handle us in Empire so you need to engage in low sec where you can have carriers engage us.

Wasn't there a note warning you that there would be lots of logs, and not lots of pictures? Maybe next time the story will have more pictures so mzr can better understand the plot.

The reason I am exhaustive on details is because in almost every story, there are people who claim I am lying about something or whatever. So I tend to be quite specific when it comes to those sorts of things.

I mean I could say "Soandso smack talked for an hour" but, to me, it reads better when people see the actual logs, and see what they actually say.

I am not sure how killing random people makes for better stories than killing a specific target.

Perhaps you will like my next story. We war dec'd a random corp and they are quite the skilled opponent, and have been beating us to a pulp the last few days. The best part is, they're smack talking us too, but we like it because it's roleplaying smack talk, which is the best in my opinion.

Unfortunately this corp is Finnish so they end up online when I am not around. So I haven't seen much action, but my other corpies have and we have lost almost every engagement. We're still having fun though.

I never boast about righteousness in my stories. They must seem to come off that way, because I have had people think I have this "holier than thou" attitude. I guess, to me, the difference is, I never make claims I can't back up. The people I end up dec'ing make nothing but those kind of claims, and I have a tendency to disprove them. It doesn't mean I am better than them.

Alas, I am quite verbose when it comes to my comment responses. If someone was nice enough to comment, I try to take the time to address any issues they bring up.

I would make one suggestion to you good sir. If you feel Eve-Pirate is not what it once was, perhaps you could regale us with your own stories filled with random battles and intense firefights the likes which most mortals rarely see and thereby restoring the glory you claim this site has since lost.

As my good friend anonymous pointed out, I did declare fair warning that this story would differ a bit in it's contents than my previous fare had.

Freaky - good story, took a while to get through but it was worth the effort. Just goes to show the extremes of stupidity that you get in EVE...just like real life :-).
