This is my first Eve Pirate post, so please bear with me…
Let me set the scene… I’m twelve days old and only armed with a punisher. It’s getting late. I’ve been stealing ore in empire all night trying to get a fight and I stumble upon yet another full jet can of ore. Although the owner is not at the belt, I can see him in local. So I sit and wait for him to return.
With ten minutes remaining on my timer, a Badger 2 polls up in the belt. He’s back! So here we are, face to face. I’m sitting there waiting, expecting him to either take it back or get a combat ship.
So we sit there and the timer runs out, almost immediately a raven appears in the belt, closely followed by a Navy Raven. I think nothing of it. The two ravens make their way over to me and lock me up. Now most twelve day old characters would run from such a sight, but I understand the can flagging rules so I sit there and wait. Sure enough the Badger II takes the can back.
I start my orbit, lock and scramble my target. His shields go down quickly and his armour doesn’t take much longer. Just as I hit structure (To my complete surprise) the two ravens open up on me. I have a momentary lapse and start thinking I’ve misunderstood can flagging, but its only a momentary lapse as my good friends from Concord appear….
Safe to say the Raven lasted but a few seconds and the Navy Raven a couple more, closely followed by the Badger II. I fly over and loot the can thinking it might be valuable, and man, was I right. I take his loot to Jita and put it on the market. The next day when I log in I check my balance I’m over one billion richer. Not bad for a twelve day old character.

Full can of ore………………………… 1m

Holy crap, if I'd gotten that kind of haul when I was twelve days old...
But seriously, the load speed on that image was absolute crap, you should have left the image wherever it was. I'm talking 5+ minutes here.

Yeah, I can't even load it. HOWEVER, freakin awesome job dude. I've been playing for 6 months now and haven't actually broken a billion isk yet hehe. In fact, after getting a nicely-fitted Buzzard for Exploration, I have 30mil. lol

My characters over a year old (I've played maybe 6 months or so) and thats me just about to break one bil. Getting that halfway into your second play is VERY lucky. All the same, good job. It's fun when people die to you solely as a result of their lakc of knowledge of game mechanics. I bet it's even better when they drop loot as good as that xD

Domi invul -> 50 a piece
True sansha heavy nos -> 80 if not more
TS PDS -> 50-60
TS CPR -> 25-30
Gist X-Type SBA -> 350 or so
Arby Cruise - probably around 4-5 a piece
Total : around 650 mil ISK

Maybe the raven pilots thought their gang would allow them to shoot you. Thats one epensive mistake though! I think you'll find there are many people that play eve who don't know what the real value of their items.

I am not surprised. There are tons of rich players who have zero knowledge of how can flagging works.
I remember one time I was harassing a corp nonstop stealing their ore. Every time I ended up killing them.
Then one of them challenged me to a 1 vs 1 with about 10 of his guys inside the station we were outside of.
He loots my can and the fight begins. It was a Maller vs a Cyclone. As soon as it was obvious he wasn't going to win, all his corpmates undocked and fired. 4 or 5 of them died, maybe more, I cant remember. A few more died again when they undocked not realizing they had a global criminal countdown on them.
Spend your cash wisely. :)

Altough you want to portray yourself as a 12 days old player, I have a lot of doubts you really are. Good story nontheless.
