Still quite flushed from the Harbringer and Megathron fight - me and Lucius undocked and went looking for more trouble. Eager for fresh meat and all that. With weapons and ammo loaded we blasted out of the space dock and back into the blackness of space.

The local space was too busy and hot so we scattered to the neighbouring systems; being here for so long - I can now recognise the system I was in merely from the constellations overhead. We came back to one system and we scattered to our scan spots. Nothing in space.
Lucius and I then went to two neighbouring systems and did the same thing.
We both reported potential targets as local had at least one pilot in it. I pushed my ship into another scan spot in order to narrow down the target but he proved to be elusive. Lucius had more luck and had tackled a deadly Caldari missile boat in his rifter. He has had great success against these thin-skinned, missile-spewing ship. I quickly set course to Lucius' position who cause a running commentary of the fight. It was going well for him. On arrival, I saw the following in local

I saw that no-one else in local was inclined to reply so I did my bit:
flashfresh > no help for you
Lucius in his rifter already had the caracal cold. I warped to Lucius to see what I could do, chances are the caracal would be an expanding ball of scrap and flash frozen gases by the time I exited warp.
Bursting out of warp, I saw the dogfight with Lucius' rifter tearing chunks out of the hapless Caracal.
I added some light EMP fire and the caracal burst into pieces immediately after.
The pilot wasn't too happy it would appear:
D***4 > hey flashfresh if you fight alone against me i will say good fight but your just a little penis that cant win alone :) if your alone i got you :)

LOL. Small penis? Rifter had him dead already.

Aha i love how he was getting owned at the beginning, and though because you were there he lost and if it was just the rifter he would have been fine. LOL

People do tend to get a little pissed off for some reason. I used to regularly pwn caracals in my rifter. Only ever got close once.

The caracal was fitted very badly.(don't know why folk fit heavies since caracals can only fight frigs) Caracals are deadly to all frigs if set up with light assaults firing precisions.
e.g.
high: 5 x assault launcher II's with precision missiles
mid: MWD, 2 x webbers, warp scram, some shield improving mod of choice
low: BCU, PDU
2 light drones.
However run like the wind if u come across a cruiser or bigger combat ship. :o)

I definitely agree...heavies are Ok for missions when you can warp in at 100 and kill most frigs before they ever reach you. But for PvP I would never try and fight a frig with heavies, unless it was webbed and painted at least ;-)
