Now you would think after 18 deaths by our hands, she would leave their corp. I mean, none of them ever log in for long, none of them hang out, and according to former members, Verzeder is non-English and rarely even talks in chat. So what's the benefit to sticking around? My honest opinion is they are an ISK pharmer hiding in a regular English-speaking corp, which helps them avoid attention and harassment usually.
However it took 19 deaths and over 1 billion in losses to them alone for them to finally leave the corp. Every hauler she had was fitted with cargo expander rigs, and usually T2 expanders and almost always filled with goods.
Still I am impressed, because considering how much they actually lost, they were always very friendly and polite. Absolutely zero smack talk. I don't know about you, but I see people lose a 10 million ISK cruiser cry for days on end, I've never seen anyone lose so much, get hunted and camped so much, yet still remain cordial and civil.
Our war is still continuing against them for over 3 months now. We popped a few of them missioning and almost caught Johar'an's Obelisk twice. It's just a matter of time before we nab it. :)
The nice thing about fighting in Empire there is no shortage of people who volunteer to go on our "Future War Dec" list.
Unsolicited smack talk is always nice. It makes killing that corp all the better. :)
We also had a war against Guild of the Hand. They were a splinter corp of Zion who we demolished in one of our last stories. Of course, their corp bio would lead you to believe if you were to war dec them, they would be all about some pew pew action, right?
These guys wouldn't undock if any of my corp was logged in. If they did undock, it was only in a shuttle. Even if I showed up in a cruiser with 4 of them in the system, they wouldn't bring a fight.
One night we finally catch one of their members while he's out running a mission. We make his Drake go kaboom, but his egg gets away. He immediately docks and quits corp.

I still think they should change their bio to "Train to dock, Train to run" instead of "Train to fight, fight for fun". The decide on a bio a bit more tame than the previous one though.
Once again, the ripple effect runs through their corp and everyone decides to take a powder.
Since none of them would fight, and most of them quit, and have yet to join any decent corps, we ended our war against them.
We moved on to a war against The Space Borderline. They were some large corp in Tash who had a few of their members talk some shit to us for no reason at all. Of course being in a 70 man corp makes some people feel brave smack talking a small 20 man outfit I guess.
We put the hurt on em right quick. They seem to be nice folks for the most part, honoring their 1 vs 1's and whatnot. The funniest one was one of my corpmates caught one of their members mining in his Hulk.
He agreed to eject from his Hulk in order to save his set of 300+ mil worth of implants. The Hulk had all T2 gear and was fitted with rigs as well. That was a splendid 350mil ISK score for us once we sold it. :)
I guess they realized they were not going to fare so well with this war, especially since several other corps war dec'd them too. So they willingly paid the surrender fee and we went on our merry way to the next corp.
The next one was Imperial Pharmacy. A much older and more experienced corp so it would be a challenge for sure. This was when I was really busy cause I never saw any of them really. I tried to fight a few of them but since we had the numbers advantage in the encounter, they chose to flee or redock.
It was a pretty even war though. We lost more than we won kill-wise but we still had a lot of fun with it and learned a lot. Since they were based out of low sec, most of them would never leave it. They would usually all hang in their low sec system and bust out their carriers and dreads just for us.
Of course, there are always a few bad apples in the bunch. One day my guys were camped by a large gang of theirs. Outnumbered 8 vs 2, they didn't have much of a choice but to stay docked. Then, once some of them logged off and the numbers were not so stacked, they went out hunting.
We caught two of them in a dead end system so we waited on the other side of the gate for them to arrive. We had a Myrmidon, Megathron and Rapier with us. They had two Abaddons. But they had no guts. They panicked when the battle wasn't going the way they hoped, so they decided to practice their logoffski skills.
Notice how Armando is not listed in local?
We dropped Armando before his logoffski could work, and we went to work on Wuzz. He also is training up his logoffski skills. Notice how he's not in local now either?
After that they weren't too interested in engaging so they stuck to their low sec safe system with their friends and their dreads and carriers.
Our next war was with Crimson Council. We had seen a lot of them around Tash. Lot's of older players all in combat ships. I figure, this is going to be a fun war for sure, right? Not really. 16 kills and 0 losses later, these guys are permadocked or they only run missions in the system where they got the mission. They refuse to go to another system, unless they are in a stabbed up Inty or AF.
Still we managed to catch a few of them.
This guy really hates us because we caught him a few times running missions. Every time he's died and we looted his mission objective loot and all his salvaging loot. I love doing that. :)
I guess one time they tried a show of force in Tash but we ended up beating them. One of them actually came back to fight in a Armageddon with nothing fitted.
I am not sure what the hell he was thinking. Mind you, this is the same guy from the video who keeps bugging me to join my corp. No thanks. Pilots with no fittings aren't exactly good in combat situations obviously.
I have found that a common theme among our war targets is they really enjoy going AFK or on Autopilot, or both. I undock the other night and see one of the Crimson Council guys chilling in his shuttle.
Of course, I somehow manage to snag his egg in an unboosted Brutix.
Since the Crimson guys have taken to permadocking we decide to war dec Rimtech. Some German corp based out in Kor-Azor. I head out to their stomping grounds and catch one AFK on Autopilot in a shuttle. I am telling you, they love it.
Don't forget his pod too. Bye bye implants. :)
Then a little later I catch another guy AFK on Autopilot in his Maulus as shown in the video. I can't imagine what they are thinking or why they play that way. You can always tell you got their implanted clone too by the way they curse you out the next time you see them. :)
So now we're hanging around the Kor-Azor region hunting Rimtech. Of course, they stay docked, even when they outnumber us and it's 5 vs 1 or 7 vs 2. They only undock in gangs of 10+ it seems.
One night we were camping a few of them. They did the usual undock/dock dance and wouldn't fight even though they had the numbers advantage. So we decide to make our own fun.
My corpmate finds some miners in the same system and flips their cans into one of ours. He sits and waits and no one shows up to play. So he checks the surrounding systems and comes back to see that our can has been taken but the guys he stole it from aren't flashing. Also one of the guys we stole from is now in a Raven.
He tells me what's up so I head to the belt. I'm sitting there alone and sure enough, the one corp isn't flashing but they are "flexing" their muscle with a Raven as backup. I am in my Domi and my corpie is in his Hurricane one system over.
I start flying towards the mining op and in warps an Astarte. And he's flashing red! He locks me, I lock him. So it begins. He fires a few rounds then stops firing. Hmm....wonder what they're planning. My corpie warps in and we proceed to pummel his Astarte into smithereens.
You can see from the video how confident the Astarte pilot was. He figured we would run because he's in a T2 fitted command ship. He thought wrong.
As we are doing this, the Raven decides to open fire on my corpmate who has lost his timer to their corp some time ago. As usual, our good friends Concord make their presence known and let the Raven know what it means to open fire when you're not supposed to.
The funny thing is the Astarte pilot had no clue about can flagging. I log for the night and come back to see he left me some hatemail.
ok 1st off please tell your little female dog to stop askig me to get a mates killmail, i did get a copy of the killmail, and i belive it is the only one remaining, but anyways the really awsome players? what you do is poor excuse for a fight, and also a NOS domi? thats very original and skill intensive im just ammazed you can manage to fly that thing, and tell me why the hell you using T1 drones? i mean WTF man???? so basicly i hope to meet you in a 1/2 fair fight 1v1 someday, oh yeah if you want that killmail come get it, ill have it in low/no sec where you actually need skill to survive.
I really struggle to understand his logic.
what you do is poor excuse for a fight, and also a NOS domi? thats very original and skill intensive im just ammazed you can manage to fly that thing, and tell me why the hell you using T1 drones? i mean WTF man????
So he's saying that can flagging is somehow less noble than ganking people at gates in low sec or blobbing them with 20 man gangs? He's also bemoaning the setup on my ship. I was in my solo tank Domi. You have to fit for the situation. In this case, I am usually outnumbered so I prefer to tank because I have less than 10mil skill points so pure gankage isn't as good for me. But still, crying at completely fair tactics and ship setups after you smack talk and come looking for a fight? I am also lame because I lack the skills to use all T2 gear. So I guess anyone fighting with T1 gear is a homo. Funny how this homo in T1 gear owned the shit out of the older pilot with a T2 fitted T2 command ship. Oh please....
so basicly i hope to meet you in a 1/2 fair fight 1v1 someday, oh yeah if you want that killmail come get it, ill have it in low/no sec where you actually need skill to survive.
He wants a fair fight? Funny how he thought a Astarte vs a Hurricane against a much younger pilot was fair. Of course, if he won, it would've been plenty fair. But he lost because of his stupidity and overconfidence, so too bad.
Of course he tosses the old invite, "come to low sec". Allow me to translate that for those who aren't familiar with carebear whining. It means, "Come to low sec, because I have friends/anti-pirate types here who will help me kill you because I can't do shit on my own, and I am not going to war dec your corp, because then my friends won't be able to really help as much as if you came to low sec and we blobbed you."
In his mind apparently, low sec grants him more power. Somehow his skills and powers are hindered in high sec. High sec is apparently Kryptonite to uber low sec pew pewers. Funny I saw no mention of that rule in the tutorial.
So I write back to him basically laughing at him and requesting him and his badass alliance war dec us. I also asked what his corps initials stood for since he liked to make fun of TRAPS. He obviously doesn't get the sarcasm of the title. I also question his role as a CEO since I would think most CEO's would be a bit more diplomatic and sportsmanlike. He responds....
2007.05.31 01:01
yes i know i got my killmail but i also got one from my mate, the reason i am pissed is the only can i moved from was tagged USA so not owned by your corp i did this so if you tried to steal from can i was clear to engage i didnt touch your can. yes NOS domi is shit you turn on nos reps and drones and sit there till target is dead, you do need skill to survive in lowsec and i do it well by myself, WTO stands for nothing and you try paying me out as a ceo all i do is my own thing i only have alts in corp anyone i dont know i reject application so im not really a CEO. the only reason i died in empire is because i am from low/no sec space have been there for a while i dont know the rules and they are shit for highsec.
So now he's saying he never touched our can. Uh huh. So since he never touched our can he wasn't really into fighting. Yet you see in the video he comments, "So ya wanna dance?" or something like that.
He's again complaining about how a NOS Domi works. "Hit the NOS and let the drones do the work". As if other ships require you to do something tricky, or it takes more skill to press a button labeled "Heavy Neutron Blaster II" vs "Heavy Nosferatu".
He's also saying he's got madd skillz for low sec. Again, I don't see how the security status of a system affects your ability to PVP. Apparently he's so hardened by low sec, he forgot the RoE of Empire space. I've heard that a ton of times. Personally, I think people are just ignorant, not forgetful.
He claims his corp is made up of alts. I love their corp bio though. More bullshit.
WTO Academies is a global chain of schools that provides the best education and training for the select few who are admitted. Courses include general weapoary, ship, and PVP training allong with training in fleet combat.
Apparently Empire PVP is not a course offered by their wizened instructors. They left that up to people like us to teach them I guess. :)
So back to hunting Rimtech. They are getting slaughtered for the most part. They did kill a Domi of ours, but only because my corpmate undocked into the black screen of death. They snagged a Scorpion as well the next day. Of course my corpie lost it since he decided to engage their Domi, 4 BC, and a frig all by himself.
So we just bide our time. We are a patient group and start to pick off people here and there. Then last night I am in their HQ in Imih. I am all alone and outnumbered as usual.
They would take turns undocking and redocking.
So they were obviously not AFK, and they obviously had combat ships at the ready. 5 vs 1 wasn't good enough though, so nothing happened at that point.
Later in the day I log back in and Necro Lyte offers me a 1 vs 1. He asks if he needs to fit a scramber or will I willingly fight to the death. I tell him it's to the death and he can refit all he wants. Mind you he undocked to scan my setup first before he would engage.

As usual the "good guys" fail to honor their word.
I guess they didn't realize the distance from the SG to the station was quit long, about 55au, so by the time his friend in the Sac got there, he was as good as dead. Notice I typed "jump in" in local, I meant to do it in corp chat though. I r a n00b.
I did snag his pod of course.
The Sac pilot barely was able to redock. I was owning them easily, then my backup arrived and we got her into low structure before she was able to de-agress and redock. So close!
So I call them on their unscrupulous behavior. They don't care. They are the typical, "We can cheat and lie because you're pirate scum" crowd. They care nothing about character or integrity.
I don't get what the hell he is talking about there. I am guessing he is trying the old, "Thanks for killing me, I made a profit from the insurance" line to make himself feel better.
He went on and on talking shit in local. He was quite pissed. He undocked his Raven but redocked when he saw I had backup.
I can tell he was super pissed off. I am guessing his expensive implants went pop along with his clone. He was ranting and raving like a retard in local. He went so far as to say I was the one who cheated and had broken the agreement of 1 vs 1.
He went on and on. Out comes the curses and threats that they are bringing in back up. Do all carebear corps read from the same playbook? It goes something like this...
1. Get war dec'd
2. Laugh at the corp who dec'd you. Talk shit. Lie and cheat if at all possible.
3. If you have died a lot now, think of as many excuses as you can. Hide out. Make threats. Name drop if possible.
4. If you're still losing 500mil a week from losses, and the corp is offering you 200mil to surrender, don't accept it. Petition it.
5. Consider starting a new corp or even better, join an alliance. Another option is to stay permadocked.
6. If those aren't viable options, run and hide in a NPC corp and pray they don't war dec the next corp you join.
Necro keeps spouting off.

So you figure maybe him and his friend are the only bad apples of the bunch. Not so. The next morning I log in and see 6 or 7 of them in local with me. As usual, I am all alone. No biggie. I sit outside the station waiting for some action. None was to be had. Yet.
A few of them undock and redock. One guy says something. I don't get what he was talking about. I think he is offering me a 1 vs 1. I don't think English is his first language.
[ 2007.06.03 16:58:32 ] Hatori Yamamoto > weopen test =)

[ 2007.06.03 17:04:57 ] Nexa Necis > so i cant trust you :(

[ 2007.06.03 17:05:13 ] Hatori Yamamoto > hmm no we have war and when we have a war we make not a 1 vs 1 .......i think why you make a Corp War?

[ 2007.06.03 17:06:08 ] Nexa Necis > not cheat then lie about it then curse at someone
They go on and on about how it's all fair in war. Not realizing that some people value a persons character in game. They have no such problems talking shit, lying and whatnot.
[ 2007.06.03 17:07:34 ] Salmanassar > No, we haven't in war. We don't give a shit about honor in war, fool.
[ 2007.06.03 17:08:28 ] Leemarda > 1v1 in a war ähm ? hello?x´D were is the logic?

[ 2007.06.03 17:10:51 ] Salmanassar > *our
So he's saying their goal in corp is to get a bad rep among pirates? An odd goal to be sure. At this point one of their corpmates convos me and seems to agree that dishonoring a 1 vs 1 is a shit move.

At this point there are 12 or so of them in system. I am there with my Domi and another corpie in his Crow. Not much we can do when faced against 2 Domis, Raven, Apoc, and 8 Drakes. I am not that good. :) I still gave it a try and fell for their "bait" which was a Apoc sitting 20k off the station.
As soon as I engaged, their entire corp undocked and others jumped into the system. I tanked all of them in time to redock too. :)
They were kind of surprised. Once again, a group of people who have no clue how game mechanics work.
[ 2007.06.03 17:26:27 ] Nexa Necis > nice try :)
[ 2007.06.03 17:27:06 ] Hayamoto > yes :) but one Question: Why were you able to dock?
They're gonna be in for a long war I think. They don't realize you're not making ISK while sitting docked. Add the ship/mod/insurance losses and you're in the red on the books.
It's not even been a week since the war started. Let's see how much they like it after it's been going on for 2 months.
I think I will have to have an open recruit drive again though. We have a lot of people who mysteriously disappeared and haven't logged in for months. Our corp has no room for dead weight. So if you might be interested in joining, convo me.23 Comments
I would just like to state that I'm Minmatar specced, but Pew Pew Cars-Filled-With-Explosivez! doesn't have the same ring. :)
I actually think that General Grendal's Armageddon was lost cause he had a CTD.
Why do i think this? because he was _on_ station, not 15km away from it, and had been going on and off several times before that.
Nice story Nexa. You chaps are the *only* reason why I want to start missioning / ratting to get my sec status back up 0.0
- keep it up and kill those fools.

Great story as always nexa
Another great story ;)
Black Screen of Death ftl >:(
And you stole my name Dian :P
Heh yeah, n00bs are hilarious. My main character hangs out in 0.0 space most of the time, but I occasionally log onto my empire hauling alt whenever I need to go shopping. Whenever I do that, I keep an eye in corp chat, (Republic Military School, npc corp) and I watch who says what. Most people are pretty much noobs, although there are a few quite experienced people.
But occasionally, I'll notice someone who's friendly, is interested in learning how to play well, etc., and I recruit them. I've actually gotten some pretty good people that way :)
Anyway, nice story, Nexa, was wondering what you were up to :P
I love your posts, me and my guys just dont seem to get as profitable targets as you do :-( (all the clueless people must be further south) but we never have a shortage of the smack talkers (its uncanny how they all seem to work out of the same playbook)
Nice story, Im kinda happy I read it knowing all the stuff behind the scene this time ;o
Excellent work, not finding much time to play atm ( any actually) so your stories help to keep me going.
Btw scarlet i wll be back at some point sub is still current.
8 Drakes! hahaha. Five bucks says they were all fitted with passive tanks. Maybe they'll send the surrender fee when the uber-passive tank is nerfed.
Nice story as usual, Nexa. Add another BS down for RIMTECH tonight :-)
I love your story's nexa if I ever get tired of my corp or 0.0 and if ccp ever make drone rats not suck . I should try to join TRAPS
Good story as always mate.
I would like to add that I lost my Scorpion to the RIMTECH guys with a smile. Fun stuff watching 6 guys pound away.. trying to pop one and redock in time. :)
On the flip side, after giving them a congratulations in local... as usual, the smack started and continued for a day. I guess GF, GG, GJ all mean nothing anymore.
On another thread; The IPHAR guys:
The few I fought with were some of the more respectable guys I have seen in our many wars. Even the ones I witnessed losing battles.. very polite, professional, hell- Good gamers.
Hey Nexa,
I bumped into Vulturean a week or so ago. I thought it was quite a good name :)
He gave me a quick test of my tristan to see how my skills were progressing. Not well, he stripped the shields and armour in seconds. I knew he'd stay true to his word and stop at structure though.\
Much respect for true professionals and honourable rascals. Most people don't realise how important it is having trustworthy folk in this game, even if they do like the pretty explosions.
Hey, great story again. Nice to see you guys doing well, I should write a story one of these days. Maybe over the summer I will try my hand.
I remember that war with Crimson Council, and the specific station camp. I had some fun there. You all are some of the most professional, most honest, most noble guys in game. Even if you are pirates. Funny us pirates get a bad rep, when its the carebears that have no dignity, no honour.
Fly safe, my friends.
Bryg, signing out.
Great story as always and people who don't honro 1v1s shoudl die! I got jumped by a Thanatos, Brutix and Vexor when a Myrmadon wnated to have a 1v1 match. lol I ended up killing the guy's Myrm later when I saw him can baiting though. :)
As always Nexa great story and We should be joining you within 48 hours time for TRAPS and REPO to team up again
Heh yeah. Well, who do you think gave pirates the bad rep? :/
Well it goes to show you how even though our corps were at war at one point, it's irrelevant when you factor in both corps have honor, value character and our word.
We were able to understand the situation for what it was and not take anything personal from it.
Some people just don't understand the other mechanics that transcend the gameplay.
I do value my reputation but I value my character even more.
Players should be more concerned with their character than their reputation, because their character is what they really are, while their reputation is merely what others think they are.
So you can think me and my corp are a bunch of asshole griefers or whatever. You can lie, cheat, steal and cry all day long and we won't return the favor.
Just remember, character is much easier kept than recovered.
