The one that got away

With the Omni-Wings war officially over, I decided to go out and celebrate. I found a Maller in low sec patrolling around the belts. I was in an Assault Frig but swapped over to my Battlecruiser as it was only in the next system.

On arriving back, I notice there is another local, a Dominix. I warp to a planet, scan and find the Maller in Belt 1. I line up and wait. The Dominix local leaves the system, so I warp in. Iam 28km away. I head toward the Maller but then, he vanishes! He has a cloak fitted.

Very smart.

However, not one to give up, I head in the direction he last was. I start a search, patrolling across a small grid. Heres a tip to find cloaked ships, launch your drones. They give you that extra coverage distance. I keep searching, still nothing. Then I head in a little way towards the roids.

Bingo! He decloaks as my drones did their job. I quickly lock him and warp scramble...but again this guy is slippery and smart. Warp Core Stabilizers. Every pirates worst enemy, save the day. He warps out. Then he contacts me in local for some friendly banter :)

Credit to him, he was prepared and got away and I had fun hunting him down when he was cloaked. However, I wasnt concentrating proply, I warp to the gate before my flag is up...good thing Battlecruisers are strong!

I survived and warped to a safe. Iam still looking to celebrate...
