It was a routine assignment. Watching the potential new members perform their first piracy actions.
We were out camping a complex and landed upon a group of battlecruisers. Two of them warped but the third stayed for us to ransom.
He ejected from ship and we tried to salvage the ship. However, the rats in the complex respawned and shot it down.
Some minor loot were left and we started lecturing our new members about it.
For some reason I stayed at the entrance of the complex.
Being slightly distracted by watching a few episodes of Lexx I didnt notice the incoming strikeforce from Sniggerdly.
A vagabond, eagle and thorax.
Without any coordination our members warped back to try get them.
Due to the fact they all warped in one at a time, the enemy forces were able to jam and scramble one by one.
My ares was already mince... And so was one of our HAC's and raven when they were pinned down one by one. Disorientation and lack of battle experience among the new members including my own careless lead to this defeat.
Leaving our newer members behind we regrouped.
A small strikeforce of our members set off to chase them over the universe.
Their elite cruisers were swifter and they were able to shake us off in a system which split up four-ways.
Be certain that we will now swiftly have to take down the careless miners and carebears to make up for our losses.

yeah it did suck. not everyone turned up at the complex gate. ander and i tried to scram them but ander got blown away then me very shortly after.

I wish i'd been closer for the start of it... I was 5 jumps out and inbound when it began. :( Not a great first impression for me...

God dammit... that pissed me off... my router goes down right when i engage that vagabond... needless to say i lost an ishkur, but most of my expensive mods exploded and the expensive mods that i picked up from the death cans.... So.. those snig guys didnt get much at all out of this Yaar. If they ransomed Enjoi that would have been the way to go for em'
