Outgunned but not outdamaged!

I have been reading eve-pirate for almost a year and always enjoyed good stories. While being dreadful pirate myself and experienced a lot of fights recently I haven’t had really good ones to share with everybody else.

But one day …

I was roaming my home low sec area in my swift Taranis fitted with 125mm rails and thorium s ammo (run out of spike s). I warped to gate when I see Caracal uncloaking and starting to lock me. He locked and to my surprise started engaging me! So I set orbit comfortable orbit and start shooting him.

I check Caracal’s pilot and it seems he is only 10 days old. Yay for me, easy kill! But I start having cap problems, so I must flee. I quickly change to my bleeder punisher and warp back to gate. Oh he is there, good! I start all over again, when 2 of his buddies show up in Caracals. I must flee again, damn!

I warp back to station and can’t decide – either undock in my pimped T2 Megathron, Dominix or Vexor. A thought ran into my mind that they will probably flee if I will show up in battleship, so I took my Vexor with T2 Hammerheads. Thank God it had 3 Medium NOS, and x2 Small Neutron Blasters T2 or else it would be different story.

I warp back to gate and there they are, all 9 – 11 days old and all aggressed. I quickly lock down and start killing closest Caracal.

No cap problems at all, but they out damage me, by all shooting Scourge Heavy Missiles. During the 5 min of intense shooting/sucking/repairing I manage to kill one pilot by one, with about 80% into hull when I finally succeed and make my fatal mistake.

For some unknown reason I was not allowed to pod him, even if he was aggressed. These were breaking news for me. Besides being under sentry fire in a cruiser with no plate Vagabond uncloaks 12km from me and on the last second manages to scram and pop my Vexor, before I can warp to ss.

Ahhh, well, seems like bigger fish just ate smaller one. My only regret was that I lost my T2 Hammerheads and salvage rig on that Vexor (back from the old salvaging frenzy times). But the fun and adrenaline it provided was far worth it! :)

You lost a T1 cruiser to a T2 cruiser, AFTER whooping a new ****hole on three T1 cruiser flyers.

I wouldn´t cry about that, in fact I´d boast about that (I think you were tbh).

For the Vaga pilot, ofc you must understand that he´s forced to take what he can, as the Vaga´s been nerfed a bit (Barrage tracking, WCS) so the investment takes a bit to cover these days if you bought one for 200mill back in the day´s.

Good kills (Don´t care if they´re newbs, "what you fly is what I kill" has always been my motto, if you fly something above your league, you also die above your league, that´s all..)

Good story, bring´em on!!!!!
