Can Flipping Yarr on a Slow day...

The only people I saw in local were two of our original WT. After I made my way out without seeing any targets I set destination to Caslemon then meandered over to Noghere and surrounding systems. I saw Yona as one of the stargates and remebered something. I needed to purge some macroers from Yona...needless to say the two Rokhs with full miners on their highs made me mad. (As a note no these targets I fought were NOT macroers but macros were pissing me off earlier that week so I decided to take it out on some carebears.) So I make my way over in a nice little ship called the Rupture.

The 1600mm Rolled Tungsten plate and three passive resistance modules made me very happy of my chances and so I began scouting the belts. The first few hold nothing but then low and behold a mining op in progress! I landed in the belt and activated my afterburner towards the hated carebear's jettisoned cargo ore canister. As I got within opening range of this canister I opened it all and dropped it into a canister of my own. The Hulk in the belt launched his two Infiltrator I's but did not engage. As this young pirate began locking the retriever and the hulk, a Thrasher warps in! AHOY MATEYS MAN THE GUNS!

As the Thrasher engages I activate my webifier and my warp disruptor and all of my dual 180mm autocannons and assault missile launchers. The Phased Plasma shells and the Bloodclaw Light Missiles soar like beautiful angels across the empty space and tear into the Thrasher! As she enters structure the Hulk engages my ship with his drones! As soon as the Thrasher explodes in a beautiful display of color I turn on the hated carebear Hulk.

I already had the Hulk targetted and so I immediatly activate my warp disruptor and stasis webifier as well as sick my three Infiltrator I's and my Phased Plasma angels onto the ship. It takes longer for this ship to go down but I turn off my webber early realizing that it would be better served holding down his drones and then using my own to beat them to a pulp.This done I reavtivate it on the mining barges already slow frame. Then as the Hulk hits about 30% armor I see this in Local:

Kind of mean but I had no clue what they were worth and when he said 30 literally right after i said 20 I knew I wouldn't let him go for under 30mil.

Right after Chin Toe says "oka 30" I pulled my drones back in but as he tries to decieve me I relauch and have them peck as his armor once more...little did he know the thrasher had neut'ed most of my capacitor and so my disruptor was only running intermittantly. (Also I went newbcake for a bit and left my AB on going around the Hulk! Doh!)

I'm not sure what he was trying to say but he was starting to move away (albeit very slowly) so I assumed he was trying to trick me into trusting him to switch characters then paying me. The pirate in me said "Screw that I'll get this bastard if it's the last thing I do!" So I opened up with everything in my arsenal and the ship vaporized into nothingness. I cheered and told my mates the story with my hands shaking worse then a crackhead in a detox clinic.

As I wrote the ensuing story the foolish Thrasher pilot decided to try and scoop either the eviserated Thrasher's or the poor Hulk's loot...and what loot it was! Tech II Scordite Mining Crystals and Strip Miner IIs! He had come back in a shuttle for only God knows what reason and he didn't seem to understand the agression system so I locked scramed and webbed him and pop went the shuttle. (I didn't know he had actually put a fine faction disruptor on his destroyer so I hadn't checked it until later but then I knew why the shuttle came...Dread Guristas Warp Disruptor!)

I honestly had no clue how much any of the ships or modules were worth so I sat and guarded the loot until I could stop shaking and grab as much as I could and run to the station and back.

Thanks to Symbiotes for getting me focused on writing this while I still had the pvp shakes! That made this all the better in that I was still thinking about it...but I tried to entertain him with a 3rd person perspective of it all but after the third paragraph I forgot to continue with that and so just switched it back to the first person.

Seeing as this whole engagement was my first ransoming experience I badass piratatical adventure and am sure I will enjoy many more. And to all of you who think ore flipping is lame I admit it isn't the most piratey thing there is but when you only have a cruiser and not much time can flipping will do for your pvp shakes urge.
Oh and one last thing from a new pirate...
