Greetings friends and foes. I had initially intended to regale you with an epic tale of profound proportions, but I am still putting that masterpiece together. It's shaping up to be the longest story ever I think.
So since I have been getting lots of emails about what happened with the whole Beck Altarr incident, I figured I would catch everyone up on what transpired with that and also with Soul Finder. You can read about Beck Altarr here. You can catch up on Soul Finder as well.
So read on too see what happened with those two nutters.
I mentioned that I am working on a grand old story. I am struggling writing this one because it's literally massive in scale. Unfortunately Ander has this system set to only hold so much space. It's only like 100 characters bigger than the space they allow for Evemails. ;)
Actually the problem is Ander only has Story Storage trained to level 1 so I am limited in space. That last story with Beck was a long one too. I actually had to edit that one down quite a bit to make it fit.
Unfortunately this story is ginormous and will easily take up two, maybe even 3 layouts. So I am kind of torn on writing it. A lot of people said that last story was very long, but it was really good.
The story I am working on is about us war decing the EMP corp. In one of my last stories I mentioned them. One of their pilots decided to be cheeky and attempt to gank some faction loot from a kill we just made. I swapped the loot into a TRAPS jetcan and he swung in and managed to grab a cap booster 800.
We managed to catch him a system over and pop his Megathron which caused him to flip out and tell us to fuck off and call us assholes. So we decided to war dec them. They had 180 people, they were based in low sec, had a large POS and we saw lots of em in battleships.
They of course had a copy of the Carebear Playbook™. Do something stupid, smack talk, laugh off the threats, get dec'd, don't use diplomacy, run, hide, get killed repeatedly, join an alliance, etc.
Wait, it gets even better. It turns out the alliance is complete shit on several fronts. It gets better still. A few members of the alliance didn't like what the CEO said. I emailed a chat log of him bashing the rest of the corps to the other corps CEO's and players. They are also giving me intel now as well in exchange for not hunting them. It also didn't hurt that they were both huge fans of my stories here. Two spys for twice the fun. Twice the paranoia.
So let me know if I should post it. I mean it has a lot of screenies and a lot of text. I mean it's pretty funny to see them pissed off and smacktalking in local, smacktalking in chat, smacktalking on killboards, and emails. Then all the retarded stuff they say about why we suck, they go and do it themselves and think they're awesome for doing it.
Like what you might ask? Well for example, we would catch a BS of theirs and kill it with 2 or 3 BC's. They would scream in chat, in local, on their forums and killboards about how lame we are because we couldn't kill their single BS 1vs1, and we suck because it was 3vs1. Then they snag one of us in a BC and they would have a Raven, Hyperion, Rapier, Stiletto, and Purifier and hoot and holler how we suck cause we died.
We find out they lie, they cheat and scam people, they logoffski, they smacktalk and lose a lot. Sound like it could be a good read?
I could use some words of encouragement here. I mean I love reading when people are caught looking like idiots, hypocrites, liars and scammers. So you guys up for an novella? Let me know here or drop me a line.
Keep reading though to see what happened with Soul Finder and Beck Altarr.
I'll start with Soul Finder. This was the rascal who threatened to war dec me months ago and never did. Then when I ran into him again, he claimed he did war dec me and my corp ran from his 1 man corp. He could produce no proof of this even when I told him how and offered him 100mil ISK to do so. I don't know about you, but if I knew someone was lying and I could prove it by posting a screenshot and make 100mil ISK, I'd be on it.
He isn't about to show proof. He has none and if he's like me, he sucks at Photoshop. So instead he sits in stations all day for the most part since we had a war dec on him for a few weeks. Anytime we showed up or anytime he got suspicious of an alt or anyone else, he would dock. He was also rolling with stabs on. No shocker there.
I noticed he was still naming his ships stuff like "Suk it Bitch!" and all sorts of naughty things. So I was sure to petition him every time I saw it with my alts. He got a nice 7 day ban for his efforts because he would send me emails like this.....

Of course he put in an alt placeholder for his old corp so he doesn't loose that uber named corp. Once he jumped to the alliance and we started our other wars, I let it lapse which of course to him means he scored a victory.
Notice the chat in local? I told that person I was going to redec their corp, Caesarri Industries. They paid me a compliment in return! I think once we work our way through our list of corps we plan on war dec'ing we will stop and say hi to his new alliance for a bit and see how we fare.
Now on to everyone's favorite mental patient, Beck Altarr.
As you may recall Beck was the funny guy who even though was a 3 year "veteran" of Eve, he opened his mouth and got a war dec because of that. He also followed the carebear playbook to a "T" as well. He quit his corp, he whined on forums, he name dropped by saying he was joining Goonswarm, he ran to a new corp, and ran back to an NPC corp once we dec'd his new corp, all the while he and his friends were on a petitioning rampage in an attempt to get me banned. Which ironically is against the rules to do when the person you're petitioning isn't breaking any rules.
Someone even posted his public info in the comments of my last story on him and that kind of took the wind out of his sails. He also claimed someone hacked his website as well. So to put out the fire, he took down his site, erased the forums he had, and then decided to convo me one day to let me know his future plans.
He said he would be selling his character and moving on from the game. He also wanted to end things civilly so he offered me his Hulk for real this time in exchange for me to leave him and any corpmates/friends associated with him alone. I accepted his offer. It was the real deal this time too.
I checked his website the other day and it looks like him and his friends all decided to join up and move to WoW. I sent him an email offering to buy his character, but he said he would think about it. I haven't seen him log in for a while. So I am not sure if he will sell it, at least not sell it legally. He mentioned his friend sold his character for cash so I wouldn't be surprised if he did the same. So for now anyways, that chapter in my Eve life is closed. It was definitely one of the most entertaining ones that I've been on in all my years of gaming.
I just recently heard back from the GM's as well. When he kept posting how he was going to get me banned and how GM's we telling him to take screenshots and all that bullshit, I petitioned to get some clarification on the rules.
The first GM said it is legal to war dec any corp he jumped to as often as we wanted. Just as he is allowed to jump, we are allowed to follow.
I mentioned the crap about him tracking me down via IP and how he's claiming the GM's are instructing him on how to present a case to get me banned. So he escalated the petition.
Here's what the verdict was......
Sorry for the late reply. You can declare wars on all corps Beck joins and you don't need to worry about any ban threats. Players cannot get you banned, only breaking the rules severely can get you a ban.
If he threatens you again with tracking you down or using the GMs against you or anything like that, file a fresh harrasment petition so we can inspect the chatlogs right away. Thank you.

In otherwords they pwn =) not only do we get long nice stories cramed with the latest on the carebear front, they are also well written stories with screenshots and other tasty shit =)

I'm glad that you resolved your conflict with Beck, while it was entertaining for us as readers, I'm sure that dealing with such people for an extended period of time becomes tiring.
I always wonder if people like Beck, and people like the many smacktards my corp faces actually believe what they write in local...

I thought at one point he was going to make me a senior editor, but I don't think he is and I don't think I am. If I am, I have no clue how to check stories for approval.
