Carebears+Whining+Excuses+Smacktalk+PvP=Anti-Pirates

freaky·

Greetings people! It has come time for me to regale you with more stories from the Eve Universe we all enjoy playing in oh so much.

A lot of people seemed to enjoy the last story I wrote about our 2 month affair with The Crimson Federation. People email me and convo me to ask me whatever happened with all that bullshit with Crimson. I will fill you in on it. True to form though, they were complete shitheads right up to the very end, continuously pulling lame tactics and getting caught in lies.

After Crimson we kind of bounced around a bit. War dec'ing various corps along the way and even managing to piss enough people off that we had 4 other corps dec us, so we had a total of 7 active wars at once. Good times to say the least.

We ran into all kinds of people and corps. We fought against large corps, small corps, alliances, PvP corps, carebear corps, and one of the most idiotic "anti-pirate" corps I've seen. We saw it all. Good, bad and just plain ugly.

We also broached a new arena for TRAPS, high sec POS takedown action. The action itself was tedious as can be expected with POS sieges, but there was some real fun to be had in between the events that unfolded.

I'll start it off with the Crimson people and just what a bunch of asshats they are.

So the war with them was slowly drawing to and end for us. They went from 18 corps or something like that, down to 4 small corps. Even the corps that remained lost quite a few members. Of course we dec'd a few more corps that left/got booted from Crimson and scored some good surrender fees, but Crimson proper basically stopped doing much of anything when it came to TRAPS.

They put together a gang or two with their newly "reformed" alliance. They scored a few fair kills against some of the newer TRAPS members who, for some reason, failed to read the corp emails regarding our opponents and their preferred tactics. Lessons learned for the new guys. :) But really, unless they had gangs of 6-8 people, they weren't doing much hunting. Remember how they complained TRAPS were blobbing fags? Well the last 8 kills of theirs against us, they averaged 5.2 people per fight. TRAPS' last 8 kills on them averaged 1.1 per fight. I think 1 fight of ours were where it was a 2vs1. Yep, we blob alright. :) So as I said, things were really winding down, not a whole lot of action going on. Then I got an email outside of Eve saying Crimson had dishonored a 1vs1 against a TRAPS member. Of course, given Crimson's shitty history, I gave my guy the benefit of the doubt but refrained from going all out until I heard the entire story via chat logs and screenies. Apparently TRAPS fought Crimson in a skirmish, we lost a Harbi and Vengeance and they lost a Vagabond. Square fight, no complaints on either side as I recall my guys informing me. Then about an hour later one of Crimson, SilentHunter13, sent an email to my corpmate, Ceekt, saying how he would love a chance to prove Crimson would honor a 1vs1 engagement. Mind you, I advised my guys, I would never trust any Crimson member ever, but of course, they are free to play and fight against whoever and whenever they want. So Silenthunter13 asks if Ceekt would like a 1vs1. [ 2007.10.08 16:35:33 ] SilentHunter13 > u want a 1v1? [ 2007.10.08 16:35:35 ] Ceekt > no [ 2007.10.08 16:35:39 ] Ceekt > just off grid mate. [ 2007.10.08 16:35:40 ] SilentHunter13 > ok [ 2007.10.08 16:35:47 ] SilentHunter13 > 100km isnt off grid but ok [ 2007.10.08 16:35:51 ] Ceekt > not with madamm sitting in tash [ 2007.10.08 16:35:56 ] Ceekt > but thanks for the offer [ 2007.10.08 16:36:01 ] SilentHunter13 > i respect 1v1s [ 2007.10.08 16:36:06 ] SilentHunter13 > even if some of my comrades dont [ 2007.10.08 16:36:07 ] SilentHunter13 > ask repo [ 2007.10.08 16:37:40 ] SilentHunter13 > i long for combat [ 2007.10.08 16:37:44 ] SilentHunter13 > nexa never seems to be online [ 2007.10.08 16:37:53 ] SilentHunter13 > if u wnt, i can tell madam to move away like 5 jumps [ 2007.10.08 16:37:59 ] SilentHunter13 > and u can sit on station while doing it [ 2007.10.08 16:38:07 ] SilentHunter13 > with ur alt in the next system just to make sure that we dont try it Since Ceekt knew there were others close by he refrained from accepting the 1vs1 at that time. A little while later is when we had our fight against them.... [ 2007.10.08 17:59:18 ] Ceekt > Silent [ 2007.10.08 17:59:23 ] SilentHunter13 > yes? [ 2007.10.08 17:59:44 ] Ceekt > You ready for the 1v1 mate? [ 2007.10.08 18:00:05 ] SilentHunter13 > i'm sorry [ 2007.10.08 18:00:09 ] SilentHunter13 > i just had a bit of a conflict [ 2007.10.08 18:00:15 ] SilentHunter13 > and am going to lay low a sec [ 2007.10.08 18:00:35 ] SilentHunter13 > contact me later if i am on [ 2007.10.08 18:00:40 ] Ceekt > i know, got two of mine and they got one of you... heard it was a gf [ 2007.10.08 18:00:48 ] SilentHunter13 > it was indeed [ 2007.10.08 18:00:55 ] SilentHunter13 > we lost a vaga, you lost a harbi and vengeance Ceekt asked if he would like to 1vs1 now, but Silent doesn't want to. He gives quite a few excuses as to why. Keep the excuses in mind, it helps me prove a point. [ 2007.10.08 18:04:22 ] SilentHunter13 > unfortunately i need to restock my cap booster supply and i lost a drone and there are no ogres in this system, so i will be waiting a while and then eventually proceeding to get more of each......sorry i cant fight you now Understandable. I wouldn't want to 1vs1 against someone knowing I wasn't stocked with all the necessary implements. Being the sportsman that Ceekt is, he generously offers to procure the said items in a show of good faith that the 1vs1 is fair and square. [ 2007.10.08 18:06:04 ] Ceekt > what drones and which boosters? [ 2007.10.08 18:06:15 ] SilentHunter13 > 800s and ogre 1s [ 2007.10.08 18:06:34 ] Ceekt > how many of each? [ 2007.10.08 18:06:38 ] SilentHunter13 > blasterthron? [ 2007.10.08 18:06:41 ] SilentHunter13 > bah i dont know [ 2007.10.08 18:06:46 ] SilentHunter13 > 2 or so ogres [ 2007.10.08 18:06:53 ] SilentHunter13 > not sure on the booster side of things However, Crimson, given this perfect opportunity to prove to the community they are a sportsmanlike bunch of gents, completely blow it and go for a cheap kill. [ 2007.10.08 18:16:02 ] SilentHunter13 > oh my [ 2007.10.08 18:16:06 ] SilentHunter13 > thank you [ 2007.10.08 18:16:45 ] Ceekt > Just on good faith that a 1v1 would be honoured mate [ 2007.10.08 18:18:36 ] SilentHunter13 > brb 5 mins bio break [ 2007.10.08 18:22:58 ] SilentHunter13 > bk ^^ [ 2007.10.08 18:25:41 ] Ceekt > not cool So he says he's going AFK for a bio break, then comes back and undocks. Now Ceekt thinks this means the 1vs1 is going to get underway, so they start going at it, and once they do, the rest of Crimson warp in and gank him. So once I hear all this I say to Ceekt, honestly, it wasn't really a dishonored 1vs1 per se. It was more a lack of Ceekt to ensure both sides we're in agreement and on the same page and ready 100%. However, that being said, Ceekt's intentions the entire time were 100% true, and wanted to give Silent what he had hounded Ceekt for, a straight up 1vs1. Ceekts good nature was basically exploited via social engineering and a verbal loophole of sorts. You know what? That's 100% cool if that's how you play. Look at the crazy stuff Goonswarm pulls with people. They at least say "Yeah we did it, we knew what we were doing all along, we lied and tricked you so go suck a nigger cock!". I can respect that. What I don't respect are people who claim they are good sports, who claim they honor 1vs1's and would love a chance to prove such honor who then turn around and at first deny trickery, then basically admit it and chalk it up to the excuse, "It's all fair in war." You can read a post on the event, including Silent's own bullshit and subsequent admitting to the whole gank trick here. As usual I will pick out the juicy parts, but you can read the responses to ensure it's all in the proper context. First he admits that his alliance wanted him to trick Ceekt. He also admits to then realizing that Ceekt would fall for his trick and passes the blame to the alliance leadership and off of himself on the basis that he's a mere grunt and pawn to the whole encounter. I told my comrades on vent that i would not use my 1v1 to get him out and about and away from the station and looked over the situation and indeed thought "i never agreed to it at this particular moment so it is not a official 1v1 so it is ok for my gang (of which i was not head of by a grunt in) to engage the pilot if he followed me off the dock ramp" He also gives a reason why he wasn't wanting to fight 1vs1 at that point... [ 2007.10.08 19:03:02 ] SilentHunter13 > i would have been happy to give Ceekt a 1v1 however i did state that i would not do it now and that i would do it later after a rest So he needed his rest and couldn't fight yet he somehow fought and organized his 6 alliancemates to come join the fun as well. I told him that he blew his chance to show that Crimson is sportsmanlike in any way right there. I mean really, he took the items from Ceekt which most people would consider an agreement that the fight would be fair. He claimed at some point he was tired and not wanting to 1vs1 at that given moment, yet he undocked, engaged and his corp immediately warps in. He could've redocked and said, "Hey man, not right now I said later, remember?" or something to that effect. Instead, he engaged, along with his alliance gank squad, who then also proceeded to tell us to stop whining and begging for 1vs1 since it's war and all fair in war. We never, ever asked any Crimson for a 1vs1 that I recall. Mainly because we couldn't trust them given their history. They asked us for it. They had a chance to be on the up and up and instead, went for the cheap gank. To me, they will continue to be a bunch of weak ass, smack talking buffoons. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, remember the Myrm pilot who logoffski'd in our last story, yet claimed he didn't? He emailed me to prove he would never logoffski. Why he thinks this is proof or what it has to do with the price of bubblegum in China I have no idea. 2007.10.19 04:58 4 of them to kill me. The Typhoon and the Arazu started it off and they both could not kill me for over 10 minutes even after my cap was gone. Had to call in back up which took another 5 minutes to arrive. Went down fighting. I would never log off even if i knew it was inpossible to win. He linked the killmail too. It was him getting ganked by some Einherjar Rising guys. I think his time line is a bit exaggerated, but it's still a testament to the fact that the passive shield tanked Myrms and Drakes need a serious nerfing. They even made a post bragging about how they kicked the shit out of Paxton Industries alliance here. Remember how they lambasted TRAPS for targeting industry types and ganking haulers? Well it seems once again, if they do it, it's the uber thing to do. Just about every response to their ridiculous bragging in that thread was people making fun of them. It's a pretty funny read. They brag about scoring like 5 kills against some industry/mission people and act as if Paxton is falling apart at the seams. They failed to understand that is no real accomplishment and really, if you're decing a 0.0 corp, you should probably go to 0.0 and do some hunting, otherwise you look retarded crying that no one will come fight you in Empire cause your opponents are all out in 0.0. Another example of how brave those Crimson guys are, our good friend Silent docked up against an evenly matched fight. He barely made it too..... Yep, he's a real fighter alright. A real pvp risk taker for sure. I think it was 2 Myrms vs his Raven. :) In stark contrast to those morons, we got into a contract to wage war against The Kelly Gang. I took the contract figuring these guys are probably a bunch of wankers who won't undock much and probably not show up much and I wanted more cash to fund the Crimson war another week. :) So I only charged 150mil for the week of war. Our client was nice enough to offer a kill bonus of 75mil per kill. I have to say, the Kelly Gang made me eat my words. Not only did these guys show up to play, they showed up with some pretty nice ships filled to the brim with high end mods. I mean stuff most people only bring out to run missions or when they have a 20 man cap fleet with remote reps on standby. The kicker too was not only did they field nice ships, they had great tactics, and something TRAPS rarely encounters, absolutely no smack talk. In fact they were a bunch of extremely cool guys who we were almost sad to fight against. They're the kind of people you'd want to fight along side with because even if you lose, everyone will still have a great amount of fun together. They're a real class act and all of TRAPS were pleased to fight against them. We had one fight that was extremely fun. It was one of those nail-biter's that come along once in a blue moon. One of my guys says a Kelly Gang member, DuckieDk is out in his Navy Megathron. I was pretty impressed to say the least. I was even more impressed when I heard he was out hunting solo in it. Not content to station hug as some do, but flying all over the joint alone, and ready to kill. We weren't really ready and all we had was a Taranis, 2 Myrms, Blackbird, Manticore and something else small. One TRAPS member was watching him and went for the tackle as the rest of us were incoming. I got to him and he caught me unaware, webbing me at 15k. Faction webber, doh! He got right up on my shit and started whacking the armor off my Myrm post haste. I tried to deagress since I had backup enroute, but I forgot to turn off my guns. Oh shit. Armor is low. Oh shit, structure time. JUMP JUMP JUMP!!!!! 4% armor and 6% structure, now that's what I call a close shave. We managed to wear him down to the point he was out of cap boosters and could no longer maintain his incredible tank. As soon as I got out, I went right back in, figuring to toss my drones on him and keep out of range of his nasty guns. Once he was out of cap for sure, I closed in to help put the nail in the coffin. It was a really great fight. He killed a Brutix, Rifter and Taranis of ours. One of our guys even ran and bought another small ship to help and came right back to assist. The Navy Mega had a monster tank to say the least. DuckieDK could've easily got to the gate and tanked long enough to deagress, in fact he was on the gate and moved off it to try and snag people, but we got him in the end. We all offered a sincere "good fight!" and so did he. 2007.10.04 03:37 yeah was a good fight for sure! Haha...you only just got out in time too with your gate! You timed it well. Was a good fight, and TBH, thats why Kelly gang is here...for the pvp. We're not interested in missioning forever. Ive been manufacturing and researching so long...ive forgotten how to pvp ..hehe! at least now i have something to spend my money on! Cheers again for a good fight, and I look forward to the next one. Duck When I docked to look at the loot, I was quite pleased with our booty. We had a few more encounters with these guys and every one of em was a fun fight. I had one where I fought a Drake immediately followed by a Deimos vs my Domi. I lured in the Deimos pilot by not turning on my neuts right away. Instead I sat there tanking him for a bit. He quickly reminded me of how much damage a good Deimos can dish out. I got lucky and timed a quick burst of MWD and got his Deimos webbed and hit my neut. He quickly dropped to the Domi as was to be expected, but again, instead of the usual complaints that follow most of my fights, the pilot, Yukkie was gracious and we chatted a bit about the encounter and offered "GF" to each other. I even got a bit of fan mail from them once all was said and done. 2007.10.09 14:11 I just wanted to thank you and your corporation for the past week of war We have enjoyed it greatly and are actually sad to see it end. Once the other 6 mercenary corporations who declared war on us with you get sick of being mauled by Gimpest, our rabid pit-bull, then perhaps we will return the favour. That is, if I can get over the loss of my first and most beloved Raven. To put credit where credit is due, your corporation is so many leagues above the other ones that has warred our fledgeling corp, having actually done significant damage to us, something I cannot say for any of the other so-called 'mercenary' outfits we are encountering. Yours is the only one that has ever made us feel as if we were the hunted rather than the hunters. It has certainly been a great learning experience for our new players as we crashed into your gatecamps. Good luck, and see you on the battlefield! Again, nothing better than fighting against good pilots and friendly people. One of the things I really enjoy in Eve is when I log in and read funny emails people send to me. I love hate mail of course, but I also enjoy the ones who are all bluster and bravado with their threats of the impending doom and danger that will follow should TRAPS keep killing/stealing/harassing them. I also love that they lie in the email too. He claims we killed one of his guys when my guy never did any such thing. I am sure he might have tried to kill them but he never got any killmails, otherwise they would be posted on our KB. Here was one example and this is pretty much my standard response.... All of that just to attempt to ward off lil ol TRAPS? Seems a bit much, no? Still, it was good for a laugh, that's for sure. Where do these people come up with this stuff? It always makes me smile to log in and read emails like this.... 2007.09.19 19:25 Your corporate description states it as a "friendly" corp. Why then do your member, Barashi Nugan, steal from me? Now around this time we pick another former Crimson alliance corporation to go after, SKots Industries. They had the pilot from the last story who had their Hulk and Munin popped while semi-afk and who had their Astarte popped while completely afk in my last story. They seemed to be a bunch of industry/mission type guys. Their CEO rarely undocked. We had them dec'd for weeks and we had no signs of them logging in really so we bid our time. The first chance we had to kill them, we ran into the Astarte/Hulk/Munin guy who two-boxed when he missioned/mined. If you can believe it, we caught him AFK again! This time he had his mission probed out and was sitting on the entrance gate for a while. We then found they had a POS in low sec and we were going to make a run for it. Luckily just before we set everything in motion the CEO convoed me and worked out surrender terms. He was a cool guy and a good sport about the whole thing. At the same time the Skots war started we also dec'd another corp that left Crimson, The Space Borderline aka TSB. Now, I had dec'd them ages ago and they paid a surrender fee, however they willingly joined Crimson to fight us and continued to be hostile towards us after they left Crimson, so one of my guys requested we dec them next and we did. During the Crimson war, TSB were decent opponents. Always fielding larger gangs and bigger ships than us usually. They were probably the most active corp of Crimson when it came to the pvp. Most of them seemed ok to talk to and were fairly likable. Then their corp seemed to turn to complete shit for the most part. Instead of going on to bigger and better things, they resigned themselves to living in TMP almost non-stop can flipping and baiting people, then completely blobbing them, or just begging people to 1vs1 them, then having other corpmates show up and remote rep them so they could get a cheap kill. No real skill, mostly just the numbers game. Oh, and a LOT of smacktalk. I mean all they did was smacktalk us, and anyone else who they interacted with. Of course that's being said while I'm afk, and they have 9 people outside our station camping me. I mean really all they did was can flip in TMP in frigs then if we warped in they would dock up, switch to their bigger ships, fit a remote rep system and hang on the stations. So we really didn't even bother hunting them. The times we did catch them off a station, they usually ended up losing. One of the funnier ones was where they knew they weren't going to win and one of them self-destructed his Astarte! Although I did catch one of them in his Punisher and I was in my Taranis. My alt got me into position to land on top of him once I warped to the belt. I started pounding on him and as he got into structure his corpmates in a Crow and a Bellicose warp in and try to pop me. They were not successful and I easily got out of warp range and made good my escape. I would've played some more but I didn't have a repper fitted and was almost out of armor. I checked my logs and found some classy local chat from one of their more mouthy members. [ 2007.11.19 04:37:26 ] Dogen Minty > He stole from me! [ 2007.11.19 04:37:30 ] Dogen Minty > Engaging! Keep their activities and behavior in mind for later in the story. So as I said, we had 7 active wars going on at this time. We dec'd another large corp Veyr to liven things up a bit. Amazingly enough they were quite aggressive initially, putting decent size gangs together to hunt us and eventually even tag-teaming with the other 6 corps to fight against us. They always seemed to be good sports and genuinely seemed to enjoy it a bit. At first. After a while though they seemed to be hating it and their corp took almost 200 losses in the time we fought them. They lost a lot of members and their CEO up and left them. Apparently Veyr had at some point paid ransom to a corp called Mafia. I had never heard of them personally, but they seemed to be similar to us, except they lie, scam, have older and more experienced pvp'ers, including the famous Cown. So since Veyr paid Mafia, they were under Mafia's protection. They told us if we didn't leave Veyr alone they would make our game lives miserable, kill us and trash our rep and all sorts of things. I was like, "Trash our rep? WTF does that mean?" I took a look at their website and it had me laughing. They completely contradict themselves on it. First they say..... We are business men, and men of our words. Then a few lines down they say.... This is MAFIA methods--- Social Engineering, corp thievery, removal of assets, scamming. So men of their word who admit to scamming and cheating people? Huh? Another method I laughed at was... Ruin your reputation. So the corp that lies, scams, cheats and steals is going to ruin someone else's rep? How so? It just made no sense to me how that would work. I guess a lot of people really liked Veyr because another corp called Wrath of Khaine dec'd us as well for us killing Veyr. I'll get to them later since the title of my story is in reference to this corp. So we got 7 wars against us and with a fresh influx of new blood we had about 15 active players in corp but still, due to being spread out across the world, we rarely have more than 5 people on and actually awake/active. You know how people keep saying we only blob? Of the near 200 kills on Veyr, 109 were solo kills and of those 109, 21 were pod kills, so really that's at least 80+ straight up solo encounters. We had 2 encounters where we had 5 people fielded and they had 10 fights with 5-8 people involved. Yep, good ol TRAPS at the blob game as usual. ;) One night we're in their home system camping a gate we know one of them is due to pass through. He is in a Navy Apoc! We actually popped his alt earlier who was in a Hulk with a Gisti booster that poofed. He was not having a good day.... He told me it was his alt in the Hulk we had popped, now with this loss he is negative ISK. [ 2007.11.02 07:35:02 ] Nexa Necis > how can you be negative though? did you borrow to buy that ship and mods? [ 2007.11.02 07:35:27 ] Arn Majaxian > Nope, GM deceided that all my alt's isk was tainted and took it. ISK buyer perhaps? Who knows? Then about 15 minutes after the Navy Apoc blows up, my guys head out and I am about to log when I see the infamous Cown enter the system. He's in a Pilgrim and I am in my Myrm. Mind you, there are 3 other Veyr people in system who could potentially jump in on me as well. Yep, the noob ganker who never fights skilled pilots, Nexa Necis, me, managed to pop a popular, neigh, famous pvp'er, Cown. [ 2007.11.02 07:43:36 ] Cown > :D [ 2007.11.02 07:43:41 ] Nexa Necis > gf It goes to show you anyone can beat anyone on any given day. Granted this was post-nos nerf, but still a Recon ship should never get within web range of a BC really. He tried to deagress and dock, but I snagged him maybe seconds before he got in. He came back and got mad that I wouldn't 1vs1 him in his Armageddon. Plus there's no way I am going to trust someone who's corp advertises and condones the fact they will cheat, lie and scam to cause me damage, regardless of their past history. He got really mad to because of the "you're not the original Cown" comment too. I am not sure why but the only post I could find was about him leaving the game and selling his character here. How was I to know he was the original Cown? Oh well, it was still a fun time. The funny thing about the Veyr war is these guys were constantly ejecting from fully fitted ships. I know we got a Armageddon with about 100mil worth of mods fitted, we also got several other decent ships. Of course, the only one I was able to snag was a Mackinaw. Still that was a nice 75mil haul for doing nothing really. After a few weeks of war they had so many people leave corp, plus their new CEO went missing in action as well. One of them posted on the Eve-O forums asking what options they had left since they didn't want to break up the rest of the corp but the CEO had gone MIA. Odd that we dec all these corps and their CEOs constantly flake out. Veyr's original CEO at the start of the war quit claiming he had RL issues and had no time to play but the next day he joined an 0.0 corp and was online all day long. Go figure. Still we kept pressure on them. They moved out of Ebtesham for a bit and went over to Oichiya to start mission running while letting the miners pop the roids in the missions. Of course having several alts with max probing skills, they were easy to find. I stumbled on them with a Harbinger, Raven, Arbitrator, and 2 other BC's if I recall correctly, plus there was several guys in barges mining along with a hauler or two. Unfortunately I didn't have an AB so my MWD was useless so I missed out on any kills. I love how all the combat ships ran out and left the miners to suffer whatever fate found them. Of course we ended up having splinter corps pop up from Veyr so we dec'd them. Of course we got the obligatory "I'm gonna petition you for harassment!" crying from them. Veyr was dwindling in size too.... All those other corps that dec'd us didn't really make a big showing at all. We didn't have a substantial member list on them so we couldn't really hunt down people we didn't know the names of, so there was not a lot of fighting going on, just a few scattered engagements. One of the corps Wrath of Khaine decided to dec us. They're former CVA, and claim to be mighty protectors of "newb" corps like Veyr, and vanquishers of lame pirate corps such as TRAPS. At first I didn't really see any of them. They seemed to be a pretty tight knit group, mostly playing at the same time, but usually the opposite times that I play Eve. Of course that means I suck and can't handle them according to them. I mean, I guess I should quit my job and have my family be homeless, but at least I was around Eve for a few weeks to fight whenever they wanted. I figured maybe they might be good people, but it was more of the high and mighty routine, claiming they are superior to TRAPS in every way, pvp and morals included. What I did notice over time some traits that most carebearish types embodied. They had the attitude that "Since you're pirates you should fight regardless of numbers or ship types, otherwise you're a pussy." Of course they wanted us to come to them and fight as well. They had very few hunting gangs that we ever saw. When I was online playing they usually stayed docked in Iro or Aldali all day long. Of course it's ok for them to afk in station. That's perfectly natural. When Nexa does it though, it's reprehensible and unacceptable. I come home one day to see we engaged Serenity Celestine in her Rattlesnake. We were woefully ill-equipped to kill her but the boys gave it a run, some of them even dying then running to get another ship and coming back to try and keep the pressure on. We offered good fight as did she. Then once we refitted and reorganized to counter her Rattler, she proceeded to smack talk us, complaining about fittings and such. Funny that someone in a faction BS with 5bil worth of faction gear fitted is complaining about the basic mods we fit. LOL! Complaints about TRAPS sucking ass because we blob in one breath, and then admitting they blob themselves in the next breath. WTF? Here are some other choice quotes from her that will make you laugh later in the story, so remember these.... [ 2007.10.18 06:14:48 ] Serenity Celestine > /emote shugs. guess i prefer actual fights [ 2007.10.18 06:14:54 ] Serenity Celestine > where people can shoot back [ 2007.10.18 06:21:14 ] Serenity Celestine > but i must confess i prefer solo pew pew [ 2007.10.18 06:22:29 ] Serenity Celestine > like i said i dont respect or trust you guys atm so its up to you to find me for a nice little 1v1 :) So she's a soloer at heart, huh? Keep that one in mind as things proceed. I also like how we have to work to catch her 1vs1, but if they want to 1vs1, we must accept, or again, we're considered pussies. As time went on they seemed to fly high end ships, with high end gear. Of course they would have a Rokh, Sleipnir, Raven and something else vs 1 BS of ours and 2 BC, then complain that we weren't engaging. Again, that's something carebears always do. They dock when outnumbered and don't have to fight and it's ok, but when pirate scum like us do it, it's cowardice. Go figure. Once again, claiming all we do is blob, they say our killboard proves we are nothing but blobbers. I'm beginning to think Griefwatch needs to put up a FAQ explaining to the retarded people out there that they can easily view only solo kills with the click of a button. I mean anyone can plainly see about 30% of our kills are solo, and 60% with 2-3 people and maybe 10% with 4+ people. Blobbing is nigh impossible in this corp. You may have heard the old saying, "People who live in glass houses should not throw stones." WROK players apparently have not heard that before. I mean if you're going to sit there and trash talk my corp and make all sorts of claims about us, and then also go on to say that you're so far above our petty style of play, and also say TRAPS are blobbers and you corp prefers 1vs1 engagements, then you really should back these things up with facts, not just opinions. Of course, you guys know how I work. I prefer facts over conjecture. It only takes a few minutes of perusing various killboards along with WROK's own board to see that their play style, is in fact, no different than TRAPS. At a glance I found plenty of kills, most of them involving WROK along with a healthy smattering of CVA players. Yep, gate blobs and gank squads. Nothing requiring any real skill, and none of them being challenging in the least. I found very few small engagements involving only the WROK people. Most of the fights were completely one-sided, with really no chance of them losing. Again, no real challenge or risk involved whatsoever. I struggled to find solo kills for these guys. Guess what? Not only were there very few of them, they were also ridiculously lopsided fights. You know like a Nighthawk vs Osprey kind of fights. Oh yeah, guess what else? Not only were the fights lopsided they were against newb pilots. Now I am not talking newb as in a 2yr player with little pvp experience, I am talking about a 1 month old player who wants to rat a bit in low sec. Nothing like some easy ganks against unwary victims who are new to the game, never mind new to pvp. Of course they will claim those kills fall under the jurisdiction of WROK being the protectors of some group of systems, and they were policing the hostile members of those systems. I'd have to disagree considering almost all of them had positive sec status, and their victims were not fitting pvp gear, meaning no scrams. You're gonna tell me all these 1-2 month old evil newbs in cruisers are jaunting out to WROK's home area in search of pvp but neglecting to fit scrammers? Yeah, ok. Sure. To me it sounds like people justying the fact they also enjoy picking on people regardless of the situation. TRAPS still manages to keep up with our guerrilla war tactics, making hit and run attacks against people whenever we can. We managed to catch a WROK guy missioning in his Raven. Of course, complaining the kill was lame. One night we were out camping the gate outside Iro where WROK lives. They had 3 of them sparring with each other outside a station. Then the CEO Serenity Celestine logs out instead of docking. Of course she claims she crashed to desktop or something. She makes a lot of claims actually. Let's see what you think. So we had our cov-ops alt probe out her juicy Astarte. Of course we had to snag the pod as well. Of course I get a email from her a few days later saying how we're lame fags to take such a cheap kill since she CTD'd or whatever. As if we know the difference between her logging out and her CTD'ing. I wouldn't care either way, and I can guarantee you if something similar happened to my corp WROK would've definitely made the kill and then make fun of us for it. She claimed that she had everything but the ship mods replaced because she petitioned claiming it was CCP's server's fault that she got kicked out of game. I don't know about you, but I have lost a ton of ships to lag and random crashes and CCP's standard response is "tough shit" unless it's something related to their server. Keep in mind, no one else in the system crashed, there were no "WTF HAPPENED TO TEH SERVER!!!" posts on the forums, yet she petitioned and got reimbursed. Not only did she get her ship and implants reimbursed, she got them back after 2 days. Amazing someone gets such quick customer service. I have petitions that go months before they get reimbursed. Reimbursement petitions have taken me forever. I had one a few months ago and it was something that was CCP's fault 100% and they admitted it but it still took 6 weeks for reimbursement. So somehow no one else had problems but her, and CPP decided to give her everything but the ship mods back, and she got it all back in 2 days? Bullshit anyone? Our war continued against WROK and we made another attempt on Serenity's Rattler. We had a Domi, Hype, Myrm and Stiletto and they had a Rattler, Sleipnir and a Raven with a Megathron enroute. Obviously we got spanked, that Ratter is vicious! We offered up good fight and they did too that time. Yet it's like they have a personality disorder though. One day civil, the next day smack talking. I don't get it. One funny thing we found out is that WROK is directly related to TSB. The same corp who can baits newbs and pops miners all day in TMP who assault local with endless smack talk are friends with WROK. How so? Well one member of WROK, Yauie has a alt in TSB, Najader. So in effect, WROK plays both sides of the fence. Highly moralistic anti-pirates by day on their mains, and smack talking newb popping scum by night on the alts. Of course when that is brought up it's all justified behavior somehow. 2007.11.24 03:06 Just for the record, SPB are not good friends of ours, we let them give us intel, and have helped them once or twice..... but we hardly approve of their activities and actually at one point almost declared war on them. The only thing that saves them from our Holy Wrath is their connection to one of our members, one that we dont really approve of too much. So we have alot of room to talk, as we are the Righteous Fury of Khaine, and all bow before his might. I mean really, if you're saying TRAPS suck because we pick on newbs, fine, but when you have alts in another corp that do it, c'mon. You can't have your cake and eat it too. I mean at least TRAPS dec's corps that are larger than us and also we dec 3 corps almost constantly. TSB sits in one system harassing miners and newbs all day. How is that any better? Of course their only tactic falls back to smack talk and making inaccurate accusations against us. 2007.11.24 23:48 Play both sides of the fense? Do you mind clarifying ur vague attempt to insult my corp? We are actually very clear cut in our purpose and rules. Yes you have some impressive war decs, but you also war dec large industry corps full of noobs like veyr to get easy kills to pad ur killboard. So dont play innocent and nubbish with me, its sickening. The least you can do is man up to such things. Again, I couldn't give 2 shits about a killboard. They show nothing other than who killed who and who lost what. Also, I have always said that TRAPS decs corps of all types, we don't care how nubbish or how pvp-lacking they are. We're not researching them at all. The last few dec's were along the lines of "Hey this corp has 200 people, lets fight them". I have always said some of our targets are newbish and quite weak, but such is war. One side usually is stronger than another. If you wan't fair fights, uninstall Eve because you rarely get a "fair" fight ever. 2007.11.25 00:07 And just so you know, WROK is just about the most honest corp you will find. We have absolutely no reason to make shit up or lie because we simply have nothing to hide. Don't make shit up? Are you kidding? They said TRAPS only blob, TRAPS only dec small industry corps, they said WROK likes solo fights and has a higher purpose in game over TRAPS. This is a classic line.... 2007.11.25 00:39 I do understand and respect ur corps "just wanna have fun" attitude at playing the game. I to believe in that philosophy. Where we differ is that i dont believe in doing it at the expense of other players who do not wish to be shot. :P So they only shoot at people who wish to be shot? They don't kill random people? Hmmm. 2007.11.25 00:57 I think the main difference is youre guys dock up when just im around. However i highly doubt that you have camped any of our senior members solo, and if you think you did they were pry afk. Truth is that I have only really ever seen you fight in gangs, verifiable by both Killboards, where as we have a few solo kills at least. But I do know for a fact that we hardly have gangs above 3 peeps, and if we do its usually cause someone is running dual clients So they rarely have gangs with 3+ people? And they have more solo kills than TRAPS? Hmmm. Shall we dig a bit deeper? Let's.... Here is TRAPS killboard and here is WROKS killboard. Serenity for example has 33 kills on the board dating back to Oct. 17th. Her first few kills listed are indeed solo! But let's look closer. It was against TRAPS when she had her Rattler and we had nothing larger than a BC to throw at her. I mean we really had no chance, but that's cool though, she fielded an awesome ship and went to town on us, good on her. I have no beef with that at all and don't dispute that one bit. Let's keep looking though. Ok, here's one. Raven, Astarte, Hurricane, Thorax and Blackbird vs a TRAPS Myrm. Here's her in a CNR with a Drake, Rax, Omen and something else to help kill a lone TRAPS Myrm. How about this one, CNR, Cerb vs a TRAPS Myrm and Hurricane. I like these ones. Rattler vs Brutix!. Astarte vs. a ratting Caracal! Astarte vs. Rax! Rattler and Mega vs. Mega. Are you seeing anything here that is remotely challenging? I like how she claims she only pulls out the Rattler for special occasions. Lot's of special occasions in their life it seems. I mean she does have a few solo kills sure, but look at them. A Rattler with billions worth of mods vs. younger pilots with ships nowhere near as good. That's fine and all but don't act like TRAPS sucks because we do the same thing. I mean if you're gonna bust out a Cerberus vs. Catalyst, you can't take any moral high ground saying you're not picking on people any differently than we do. You can't claim these people want to be shot at. The majority of them were not pvp fitted and plenty were in npc corps just out ratting. She said.... 2007.11.25 01:13 Well like I also said, you are rarely around, and yes.... I get pretty much no action from your corp. The part I find annoying is the refusal to fight me straight up.... but jumping at the chance to take a cheap shot, (not that it really matters since i got most of what i lost back). And i dont tear down ur corp for its style of game play, i smack them sometimes cause i never ever get a straight up fight. And yes, I do hold that against ur corp She's demanding a "straight fight" whatever the fuck that is, from TRAPS, but it doesn't look like she gives anyone a "straight fight" either. I mean if you want a somewhat even match, I guess you would need to stop flying faction ships with billions of faction mods fitted. That would be risky though because then you don't have the "Rattler with 5bil worth of faction mods" I WIN button. You would actually have to work for kills. Look at our killboard, try and find engagements with us having more than 5 people on a killmail, there won't be many. Also look to see how many solo kills we have. You will find a lot of em. Plenty of them are "fair" engagements too, meaning Drake vs Myrm not Drake vs faction Rattler. ;) You can search lots of killboards online and find a ton of their kills and most of them you will find a large CVA gang on the KM as well. You can check their own kb out and see their pilots picking on a Vexor who was ratting with their Sleipnir. Lot's of challenge and skill involved there. I am sure that newb pilot had performed many egregious offenses against WROK prior to that encounter. Yep, I'm sure of it. 2007.11.25 01:26 Rofl, once again ur ignorance shines through. I have actually only fielded the rattler less than a handful of times. And yes I did give ur guys mad props for that first fight. But since then I havent been able to get much of anything. And you can smack about me all you want, but do not ever insult CVA. They are the most honorable and uber alliance I know, and I know a fair bit about alliances since I have been in a fair few around Eve. CVA killed you cause you have red standings to them, cause you are a pirate. CVA is 100% right in their cause, just ask 1 of tons of corps that peacefully and happily live under the CVA wing. Nobody fucks with CVA. Only fielded the Rattler a few times? Lie. CVA fanboi anyone? Hehe. CVA makes me laugh. They don't research any of the corps that hide under their wing. We dec'd one corp for calling us fags, homos and niggers in local chat, who promptly ran to CVA space and hid. Yep, CVA is right and just and all sorts of good. Racist and homophobe protectors at times, let's not forget! Plus their level of smack talk is crazy too. Calling people fags and such on their killboard. Poor sportsmanship indeed. WROK tangled with some German corp in Amarr and decided to war dec them. Unfortunately for WROK, the Germans had a concentrated group of people who all flew BS's and ganked Serenity's precious Rattler. Look at how much they smack talk on their killboard on the Rattler kill. Insane! I wonder if she petitioned this one too. ;) She even smack talked the German guy in game as well. No class or sportsmanship there. Only smack talk and excuses it looks like. One night WROK had 2 people in TMP camping 2 of my guys, I had to pass through to get something and immediately the smack talk starts. She felt that me entering the system was a lack of skill on our part since they had 2 people and TRAPS had 2 people it was fair. Keep in mind they were camping 2 of our BC's in 2 Command Ships. ;) 2007.11.25 07:30 Guess you really proved my point today. This is shy i lack respect for you guys :) lets all run and hide now from the even fight They didn't realize we were watching their other 2 members 1 jump out sitting on the gates. :) After that, they left the system and all got into BS's and came back. Yep, good times there. I hope you guys liked this one. I will have another soon though. As I said we got into some high sec POS warfare. We dec'd an alt of some guy in Black Scope Project so we could shoot at his POS in high sec. As predicted the alliance brought in the alt corp and now we're going full steam against the entire alliance. We managed to drop the alts POS... The war against Black Scope continues! Oh wait, I'll toss one in for ya here that you will enjoy. We also dec'd some random corp who managed to kill me. It was an awesome fight for sure. Good work guys!

Great story as always!
Btw, Nexa Cown is the same old Cown. In one of his movies, at the begining he says that he bought his char back.
He fights more than fair, I mean fighting 1 vs 6 or more at the station and kill half of them before docking is enjoyable :)

alas it seem that no matter what great allaince you are in the will always be assholes like that iron guy,i being a proud althought not pvp oriented member of frege and the coalition suddenly feel ashamed at how this Iron acted, he has hurt the reputaion of the coaltion if only in a small way,but alas its still there

be at peace nexa and have a good week

Good to see another tale from Nexa, especially as my Corp played a minor part. Im sure many members of Veyr would admit to being carebears, and many of these were the members that moved on as the war progressed. Im glad that there were no examples of smack talk included from any of us; Absinth did not engage in personal insult or invective - he just has a different view on what sort of game he wants to play. Thats what I like about Eve, you can play how you want, but you must realise that it means others are free to do the same. Sometimes it can get on your nerves, but then this is a *game*.

Finally, thanks TRAPS, it was a good introduction to PvP for me (boy, do I suck at it!) and you were the most courteous and skillful pilots I have yet provided with oppotunities to freeze my corpse.

One day I hope to be able to repay the compliment...

I like how absolutely nothing came out of Absnyth's crying and petitioning of TRAPS.

Don't be fooled into thinking our tactics and play style is against CCP's ruleset. It's 100% legitimate whether you like it or hate it.

We will be redec'ing Veyr again soon, the only reason the war lapsed was because I forgot to pay the bill. :)

Did Lorella ever return to Eve? I have yet to see them log in and I was wondering what happened after the Veyr guy posted in COAD.

Barashi Nugan·

Glad to see the comments have been fixed. Thanks Ander.

And great story Nexa. Always a treat to read, expecially as I now have my own (very minor, lol) part.

But one thing bugs me... Can flipping? Me?.... ;-)

A comprehensive read, as usual. Well done! :-)

I suspected the war would continue, due to the lack of any actual mention of it ending here. As of yet, we have heard from Lorella, but she has not returned. It is unclear when she will, but it is expected that she will at some point.

"Nexa Necis > you're not the original cown according to the threads"

Nexa, for someone who trolls the C&P forums as heavily as yourself, it suprises me you claim you couldn't find his post from back in May, yet missed all the other posts since then, when he came back and joined Veto again.
Also, in the future, before you claim you took a huge risk engaging Cown because of the 3 Veyr members in local, you might want to edit your screenshots to cover up your gang list in overview... That way, you can look more badass, rather than just have them out of the system so you can claim you were 'solo'.

Cheers.

Nexa, I adore your stories, but please for the love of everything good, stop going on about how you don't blob. We really get the point, and we really don't care anymore.

Really, at this point, you're starting to sound like one of your targets. "Oh boo hoo they keep sayin we blob but we don't but they say they don't but they do! Boo hoo hoo, mommy save me."

Again, the stories are good and I love the ownage contained within, just please stop trying to defend yourself. It's getting old.

Yet more boring sh1t from eve's biggest drama queen. FFS, you actually spend your time putting this crap together? The way you talk, you'd think you were the only CEO in Eve. In fact, heres a challenge for you, dec Vale Heavy Industries or RAK, then we can all laugh when they rape you 3 ways from Sunday.

freaky·

Better yet, post with your main and dec us. Let's see how good you our since you're so quick to critisize us. :)

freaky·

I know what you're saying. One of the reasons I touched on it again was because they made such a big deal about it. Most of their smack talk hinged on the "fact" that TRAPS blobs.

I also mentioned it because there are a number of new readers who have no clue about us, so it's to inform all of those folks too.

Believe me, I could've went into greater detail but I wanted to get the story out sometime this year. :)

freaky·

Actually moron, I didn't dig to find his post. It was linked to me from a corpmate who remembered reading it.

Excuse me for not reading every single post in C&P like you have.

As far as covering up the portion of the screenie with my gangmates in it, I have a surprise for you.

You can be ganged with people, but not be in the same system as them! OMG!

As I said we had just got done killing the navy apoc and started to split up and log for the night when Cown came into the system. So yes, I had 3 people in my gang, and none of them were in system.

Even if they were in system, Cown is a good enough pvp'er to turn a potential 4vs3 into a win. Mind you, that's 3 TRAPS vs 3 Veyr and 1 Cown.

When I get home, I'll even post the chat logs to make you happy.

Anonymous mkII·

why do i have the feeling that you just cancelled your eve account?

Ummm... Why did i get mentioned. I only SELF Distructed so you fools didn't get the loot. Nothing more, nothing less.

Either way, it was more of a test then anything. WE received poor intel, and i got stuck right int he middle of the battle without wanting to be there.

Well, I gotta say that I stumbled on this post quite randomly and I'm now happy I did so. :D

First time I read anything that in depth about EvE PvP(pirates) system.

For a first time player, its a good read just to get a general idea on how to act as a good PvP player.

Have a good one!

I remember Celestine from when he was in CVA and yes he was always flying that Rattler. And to be honest... it was a nice guy and he did kick some ass with that rattler.

Remember one instance he chased (almost killed) 2 well fitted mega's at a stargate in Mamet.

Anyways nice reading another story again from you Nexa.

Ki An·

RAK or Vale Heavy Industries? You're kidding, right? Avox, is that you?

Serenity Celestine·

Wow Nexa, what great one sided loades of crap you are able to spew. Ur ability to shovel bullshit is really unlike anything I have ever seen in Eve before. But even after reading the tremendously skewed and slanderous part about my corp I cant help but laugh a little at how truely pathetic you are. The only thing you have proved is that you are good at taking random comments and talk out of context to "make ur points" I see that none of the dim witted garbage that you sent me is included in your post. But hey, I guess we all know why you spend 95% of your online time docked in Amarr..... Ur too busy writing pages of utter bullshit instead of making a name for urself in game. Ur a joke my friend, Im sorry that my corp ever wasted its time on the likes of you. I wonder how ur posts ever cleared the spam prevention blocker :) +0+

Ki An·

Now you have peaked my interest, and I demand that you lay out some proof for what you are alluding to in your post. If Nexa is lying, prove it. If he is talking crap, prove it. If anything he says is wrong, prove it.

Bet you can't.

Bet you're pretty stupid actually.

freaky·

Bullshit? So explain what I lied about or what is missing?

Par for the course with these people. Always saying "Nexa lies, Nexa makes stuff up, Nexa takes stuff out of context".

I must assume they do this to assuage their wounded egos or something.

I am sure the email you sent to the german guy who popped your Rattler was completely out of context. I mean he sent you a mail saying "good fight" and you sent him one back calling him a fag 10x over.

I guess to you a fag is a bad thing. How does it feel to lose to fags then? You make no sense.

1)My previous comments still stand.
2)I could care less what some random smacktards say on this thread about my corp, they dont even know me/us.
3)Yes out of context, as in.... my words (edited in to support your claims) and nothing you or anyone else said to provoke my responses and such.
4)You have no idea what that German guy said to me before I responded in that mail to him, so you can stfu about that.
5)No im not gunna waste my time arguing with you Nexa, we had long winded conversations through Eve-mail about most of the things you mentioned in this post. I explained all that stuff to you once, not gunna do it again. And especially not here where I have to read random comments from peeps that have nfi what they are talking about.
6)Posting flaming threads about others on forums just shows that you are bitter and a sore loser......
7)I know that you are affraid of me and my corp.... why you may ask, cause I can write this to you and not have you threaten my corp with a war dec, like you do to everyone else who smacks/insults you.

Yep, we all believe you. You caught me red handed making stuff up.

Regardless, keep flying your Rattler against newbs, keep ganking neutral npc'ers under the pretense of anti-pirate, keep your alts in a pirate can flipping corp, keep up the sexual and homophobic smack talk too.

Then again, I probably made all that up and took it out of context.

Why would we dec you? You guys hardly ever hunted us and mostly stayed docked afk since we have fairly opposite play times.

Of course you say we're "fags" for docking while afk, but when your corp does it, well it's all good and dandy.

You make fun of us for decing corps like Veyr and such. Instead of ganking defenseless npc'ers how about something more challenging?

I looked on your killboard and it's pretty sparse still with hardly any really even fights like you claim you enjoy.

Alas we are both entitled to our opinions. You will keep smacktalking your way through Eve and I will keep posting stories exposing the underbelly of the carebears, wanna-be's and anti-pirates such as yourself.

Heh,I feel like ive just been dragged down and beaten with experience. However I still cant help but feel that you have said such things to me before...... and I gave you very sound answers that shut you up.... ohh ya!! thats right!!! We talked about all of this through Eve-mail!!

I guess at the end of the day all that matters is that the people who know ur full of shit are the people whos opinions I care about, and the people that believe you are the people whos opinions you care about. In such arguements nobody really wins, cause nobody can convince everyone.

Im done here. Hope to see you in space, preferably space below 0.5 so we can pew pew :)

Nexa Nixis·

sure, your rattlesnake vs my velator fair enough for you? or is that too uber for your "deffenceless" rattler?

Exquina[Veyr]·

Hello every1 :)
I am not sure if i'm allowed to participate in this lovely dramatization myself as one of the Officers of Veyr, since we do have strict corp rules and ingame policies.
However after 'random' search in google i came upon this thread and just have to write something of my own story.

a few facts at first:
-NOT totaly an industrial corp as u marked us for, from all the ppl who are still active we are mostly combat skilled pilots.
-Weak on skill points in the time of our war, none of the ppl could have fancy T2 equipment afaik.
-Weak on Economy, we couldn't afford losses at all, many of us were grinding endlessly in pve to barely buy a new ship
-Weak in teamplay, we didn't have ANY combat practices going on within the corp
-players within EvE likes us coz we are mature, decent and honest players ^^

conclusions:
-we are grateful for the war with Traps back in the days, they showed us where PvP life begins and how you can get owned if being careless in a proper way.
-personaly I saw the meaning of teamplay they had and boosted that idea till this day.
-tho defeated, we never lost hope even when our corp had internal dissorientations and was nearly torn apart at some point. But we kept our faith together and regained our old glory :P
-despite the clash of interests within the game, we are grateful for any new experience that may knock on our doors

new era:
-we stand tall now, finaly with ISK to spent and ships to backup our words.
-we have some new friends whom we are very proud of.
-we didn' change in our behaviour since day one even tho new leaderships were born and tradition kept sacred.
-perhaps we'll meet again with Traps be it in a good or bad moment, you never know :)

P.S. I like a few of traps members and perhaps some could Convo me ingame for a decent chat(marauder pilot prefered), I only play on weekends tho since a life of Student takes it's tool.

GL&HF ex out.

Enjoyable read, and the war was fun to.. lorella still not back in the game. keep up the articles..

Rix... xxx

huh?·

sounds like a micheal Moore documentary. Completely 1 sided BS. I love reading the stories, but stop trying to make it seem like you're doing the right thing and justify your actions. You pick on corps and when they stay docked they are scared, when you dock up it's a valid strategy to avoid a lopsided fight. Just be blunt you force corps to pvp then act like they shouldn't be mad when you grief them. It's fun to read, but don't try to hidwhats really going on.
