Personal Gain at the Expense of Not so Smart People

Ah, where to start. Tonight has been a crazy night. I'll just go in chronological order then. In a nearby system, i jump in and procede to scan. I cannot believe my eyes! Two covetor large mining barges and one retriever mining Barge in a belt. i scan and warp in. Bah, they all warp out minus one covetor who soon warps out when i get a little closer. I decide, hell, I'll let em think they are safe and leave the system and come back in a half hour or so. After gazing at empty space enough i warp back to the system, to a nearby planet they were before and scan. Found them! warp in at 15 km. Oh they don't run this time. Instead they all launch their drones to intimidate me. What the hell, Enyo > ~24 drones muahahaha. Right before I attack the retreiver attacks early and flags himself. I attack the covetor first and didnt notice him attacking first. The light ion blaster II's rip apart the mining barge, next covetor, takes another 30 seconds to pop. I am releived at this point as my armor is around 35% . The small mining barge is buttaH :P. I received a couple strip miners, the 2nd covetor had 3 modulated strip miner II's but only one one survived :(, and a lot of drones.



No more then a half hour later, another mining group appears in a nearby system. This small fleet is composed of mostly "noob" mining ships and pose no threat to pvp cruisers and an enyo. With Xan and Alarik at my side we jump in and begin to engage, but as they are 30 or so km away, they warp out to a station and dock. Whats left behind is some rare ore, about half a can, and misc goodies such as unanchored cans. WHY would someone NOT anchor a can? needless to say in that belt we got two giant secure cans, and 2 medium secures that were not anchored.



Again, not more then a half hour later; i see what appears to be an afk raven at a gate. I proceeded to "try" and bump the sucer out of sentry gun range or at least wake the guy up. Soon, he comes back and locks me. What the hell, is he going to try and gate gank me? torps do not do the damage they once did. He launches drones, No ways hes this stupid... He turns on his sheild hardeners. This is too good to be true! Again, Xan and Alarik are my backup waiting on the gate for the signal. i give it, he has flaged himself, i scram him and start popping his ogre heavy combat drones. I am taking him down fast (with the help of two sentry guns) Xan warps in just in time to start hitting his low armor. The spoils from this event would have been nice. Lows fitted with PDU II's and a couple cap charger II's. I end up with a lot of ammo, three reg seige launchers, and two pdu II's. Better then nothing.
