ZOMG I am shaking

So, tonight I engaged in my first act of piracy. No background story here. I was interested in this aspect of the game and was hanging out in Hek and decided it was time to take the plunge, and plunge I did.

Selecting my Rifter from the multitude of ships at my disposal (3 - Rifter, Thrasher, Mammoth) I set about fitting it out for my journey towards PVP.

With my dedicated flight crew telling me all was good for launch, plus the few tips I recieved from am associate who just passed the 500 kill mark (congrats again man) I headed for the Otou (0.3) Gate. I expected to be jumped from the second I arrived in Otou but instead I found the are around the gate nice and quiet at least.

I warped to the other gates in system to check for activity, nothing going on so I warped to the only station in system and took a look at who was in local and then the stationd quests.......... most of the systems current inhabitants were like myself docked up but then 1 pilot undocked. I quickly undocked after him, to see what he was flying, a Scythe Cruiser. after 20-30 seconds of watching he warped to a belt, again I immediatly followed. My heart was starting to beat faster with every second as I approached this lone cruiser sitting in an otherwise empty asteroid belt, it was now or never. I locked, closed the distance and told my little frigate to orbit at 500m while I stuck the point and web on him and unloaded the contents of my Auto Cannons into his shields, they melted quickly under the constant fire. All the while my ships onboard sound system pumped out some of the heaviet Pantera tracks I could lay my hands on.

As his shields faded to nothingness and "Yesterday dont mean shit" rang through the bulkheads of my Rifter I could see that his armour was starting buckle under the intense pressure my auto cannons were putting on. Yet why no reaction from the cruiser pilot, not even a lock back, was he trying to run with out even engaging........ he couldn't be.......... then, a reaction, he locked me.

As his armour was shorn from his ship exposing the soft hull underneath I could tell he was panicking, but why was he doing so little damage. Only 1-2 missiles had hit me since he locked and my guns were eating away at the hull of his ship.

Alarm bells rang, another bogey on the overview...... a Punisher, neither friend nor foe to either of us currently fighting. The crusier poped. I could feel my heart beat so fast Itaught it was going to jump out of my chest and start doing the happy dance, as I wanted to do but I had other problems. The punisher locked and engaged me, I returend the favour all the while forgeting about the cruiser pilots pod which sat in space while the Punidher and I exchenged ammunition at high speeds.

My forst foray into what will be a life for me in the EVE universe was bitter sweet, I killed a semi afk cruiser mining in a Scythe, lost my rifter and forgot about the cruiser pilots excape pod. Luckily for me though I escaped with my pod and enjoyed a little friendly banter with the Punisher pilot. If you are reading this you know who you are, Good Fight man, I really enjoyed those brutal few moments.


Now to fit a new Rifter and journey once more into the darkness while my entire body shakes from the massive adrenal rush. 3 hours later and I am still buzzing. Hell yeah this is for me
